Doesn't seem breastfeeding friendly. Made my daughter feel like she was a failure as a mom by his inconsiderate attitude. Never explained what he was getting ready do our infant. It may be best to inform a parent before you shove your large finger in a small infants rectum to obtain a stool sample. We felt like we watched a child rape. Wouldn't consider changing formulas even with the recommendations of WIC. Condescending attitude toward any needed changes. We were told that the pharmacist we spoke with just didn't know what they were doing when they couldn't get the special formula. There were other equal formulas he could've allowed but we felt like he just wanted the control of all and not listen to those of use who know the infant best and recommendations of a long running program. We just have a lot of prayers going up for now on guidance to what we should do.

I saw him a few years ago when we were having medical issues and instead of giving us medical advice, he made crude and shaming comments towards me. As a young teen, this was very harmful to me and made me extremely uncomfortable. My parents were also very unhappy with her language towards them. Overall, would absolutely not recommend to even my worst enemy.

The absolute worst doctor I have ever been to. Take your child anywhere else. Threatens parents and other providers with dcs to scare them into doing what he wants even when it is not in the child's best interest, bullies and degrades patients and parents, is pompous even though he is not up to date on all the current information regarding GI treatments. Go to Vanderbilt or Chattanooga.

Listened to my concerns about my special need daughter. Most doctors are hesitant on doing tests on her. He reassured me that he would do what medically needed done. He answered any and all questions that I had and was more then kind and caring when he admitted her to ETCH. I was a crying mess and he was very professional and reassuring. I would gladly recommend him.

Dr. Devoid will not take his time to treat patients on an individual basis. He wrote off my daughter's condition. She forcefully vomits her entire meals and has since birth. She has malnutrition and failure to thrive due to this, so a feeding tube was put in by him and her condition got even worse and she doesnt even take anything by mouth. While we were at children's he was the doctor on call and he decided to come to my room and raise his voice at me, and insinuate that I had been lying about her past history with vomiting. When I tried to stand up for myself he got in between me and my daughter and petted on her, loudly started cooing and making kissy noises to very obviously drown out my opinions or concerns. Dr.Devoid is an incompetent A-HOLE who has a very fragile ego and inability to admit that he doesn't know what the hell he is doing. Nor does he want to try. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS D-BAG!!!

My daughter saw multiple providers within the practice over the course of a year. We started with the NP Jackie Lott and saw her for a couple of visits. She ordered testing, bloodwork, and scopes. Dr Devoid did my daughters scopes and was completely unprofessional both before and after the surgery. He did not introduce himself to either of us prior to the surgery and was rude, condescending, and dismissive when questions were asked afterwards. In fact, he got up and walked out of the room in the middle of me asking questions about why he wanted to admit her to the hospital and would only speak directly to or answer questions posed by my husband. After surgery we transferred care to Dr Thornhill who has a fantastic bedside manner though his care plan was less than ideal. I did appreciate his practice of true informed consent and willingness to answer questions. We’ve also seen the NP Kelly who is kind, helpful, and made good suggestions. Ultimately we went to another provider that was actually able to rid my daughter of her symptoms. Additionally, the in office communication was awful. Lost test results, failure to schedule tests, one person calling to say test results not back while another from the same office telling me they were in, lack of understanding about said test results, rudeness, etc.

He is the worst doctor. He DOES NOT listen. He is rude. He is arrogant. He does not think outside of the box. My child suffered months because of his incompetence.

We were referred by our pediatrician. Dr Devoid listened to our past history (tests done, labs done, medications tried, etc) because our hospital and medical offices are on a different system. He took his time and explained everything to me. I really appreciate that! The treatment plan he started my son on is working. We are forever grateful for Dr. Devoid!! We will recommend him to everyone. Our pediatrician even wrote down his name for future reference based on our recommendation.

Dr Devoid totally ignored my request for my terminally ill son. He insisted that he knew what was best without listening to me. My son's comfort is number one to me. After the nurses helped me communicate my request, he was hesitant but finally agreed to do the procedure. I would not recommend him and will never allow my son to be seen by him again.

Huge smart alec. Very rude, shows no concern. ER staff even says he isn't helpful. I dread when he is the on call GI DR.

After being in the ER every week and seeing numerous doctors with no answers for our son who had lost 40 lbs and was in constant pain Dr. Devoid was amazing and located the problem in days. He has enough experience that he knew what to do when other GI doctors didn't have a clue. One even told us it was all in his head and that there are no nerves in the esophagus. We are so thankful for Dr. Devoid we would recommend him to everyone.

First visit was great. 2Nd visit .... He had the nurse get things for a lab sample and he never came back. Just went to talk to someone on the phone ..he didnt finish our appointment. 3Rd visit...ill never come back. He practically told me to figure our my daughter's stomach issues myself. Won't do any ultrasound bc he says there is no such thing as a blockage...thats a lie. He seems to only want to medicate ...won't waste any more of my time here. Your always seen atleast and hour past your app
