Fake compassion, casual attention to detail and impatient with questions.

I wouldn't give him 1 star if possible! This man was THE worst doctor I have ever come across in my 58 years!! I had a near fatal car crash in 1997, received a small but effective brain injury, broke my back, injured my neck, injured both legs and was in a coma. After all of that...I became a fibromyalgia sufferer. I started seeing a wonderful doctor at Internal Medicine and had a beautiful doctor/patient relationship with him for many, many years. He moved on to a more detailed field of medicine and introduced me to my next favorite doctor whom I adored! He cared for me for years until he sadly passed away on the table during heart surgery. I was next placed in this idiots care. I had gotten to know the staff very well in all my years as a patient there. I dealt with him as my doctor only because at the time we had planned on moving and I did love the staff. Da Silva was the strangest doctor I have ever experienced!! He had issue with my pain management and suddenly wanted me to cut down and eventually stop my pain meds. Any chronic pain patient knows how frightening the thought of living in costant pain is after it being mamaged and not abused for many years. While we were weaning me down from my meds, I had an appointment that I wasn't able to make due to a horrific family incident and Da Silva called me at home at 8pm that night and said he was not going to honor my pain contract anymore. I asked if I could ask why and he told me it was personal! I was shocked but still thought he would continue with my low dose of methadone...No! He gave me nothing and did not care!! His staff was shocked and disgusted!! They apparently pleaded with him to not do that to me. He declined but never did say why. I was extremely ill for weeks from the sudden withdrawl...went to the E.R. 3x and the doctors there were all very compassionate! On one of my earlier visits with Da Silva, he actually said to me that the DEA might knock on my door one day!! I asked him why would they do that? I've never abused my meds and who do they think prescribed my meds? He is a horrible person and a horrible doctor! I had a family member with me at each appoimtment and they all thought he was creepy!! Good luck if you have him as a doctor! DaSilva is grossly incompetent and unfit to practice medicine. He fabricated a wild story one night at 1130 pm about me " telling him( I) was a danger to myself and couldn't take care " of myself, and falsely reported these lies to APS. This caused so much stress that I developed, overnight, a chronic stress related skin condition, that has progressively worsened and is extremely painful and debilitating. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES trust or even talk to this incompetent and irrational person. Do NOT trust him at all.

Dr. Dasilva is a very weak, timid man. Not the kind of man who want for a doctor of medicine. He rushes through the appointments and rarely looks you in the eye. He has also made some serious mistakes on my medical records, which had to be corrected. Better to look elsewhere for a doctor.

Stay away from David DaSilva, M.D. The man (if you can call him that because he has no compassion in any bone in his body) was more concerned with my Mask then talking to me about what was going on. Even after I put on the mask he requested his assistant to give me he was still going on about it. I told him i just lost my house, did not care about if my mask was CDC approved or not rather I was here for a Dr visit. He proceeded to walk out of the room then was shocked when I wanted him fired for not doing his job. I’ve been going to Dr. DaSilva for the last 10 years and he has always been patient and responsive to all of my {possibly imaginary} health complaints. I have never had a problem with him and he always seems unhurried and patiently explains his diagnosis and recommendations. Rushed, doesn’t listen, not willing to say “I don’t know” becomes instantly defensive when questioned.

Discharged patient with MAJOR error in discharge orders. Discharge was on a Friday, so we could not get it rectified until the following week. Made changes in patient's complex drug regimen without talking to patient's regular treating physicians. For the most part, we have been pleased with care by Sutter providers. Not this time.

Even after I put on the mask he had his assistant provide me; he was still going on about it. After I told him that I just lost my house, could care less about if my mask was CDC approved or not, and was there for a Dr. visit he proceeded to walk out of the room. When he walked back in and found out I wanted him fired he walked me to reception then told them I needed another Doctor. There needs to be some accountability to treating a patent this way; he put in my after patent summery that i requested a cancelation; what a joke.

Dr. Dasilva seems to be in a hurry and doesn't really listen very well to his patients. By far one of the worst physicians' I have ever encountered. he is condescending and has to be one of the worst physicians I've ever had the displeasure of having as a doctor of medicine. I won't be going back ever again.

The most horrible doctor I have ever met. He does not communicate well and is very rushed in his behaviors. Do yourself a favor and do not visit this "doctor".

We had very interesting experience with Dr. DaSilva's office. For the past five months my wife has had pressure in her head, ringing and pulsating ears, dizziness etc. We had her sinuses checked and nothing was detected. When we came to Dr. DaSilva, he sent my wife to CT scan and MRI which we really appreciated. However, problems started later. We waited for one month but never heard anything from MRI. We called to imaging facility and they told us that Dr. Dasilva's office did not send an authorization and lab results. We contacted back Dr. Dasiva's office and they said that would leave a note to a doctor. We waited for another week, nobody from Dr Dasilva's office contacted us. We called again, and got again into the same circus. Finally, my wife made an appointment with Dr. Dasilva to understand what is going on. When Dr. Dasilva saw her, he acted as if he had never seen her in his life. He was rude and inconsiderate. For every question that my wife asked he was responding "This is not my job". He was blaming his staff and staff was clueless what to do. In total it has been two months and we still have not gotten MRI authorization. I have never seen in my life such as a doctor who would be so indifferent and heartless towards his patience. But the worst is his staff: rude and incompetent. I've seen him for years and only once have I ever had to wait more than 5 mins. Making appointments has been easy. His staff are wonderful. He listens carefully and doesn't make assumptions. He is wonderful.

He is a very knowledgeable doctor, and very cooperative with his patients. He maintains a very upbeat attitude. Sometimes I feel like I am going into Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. I love his line You confusing common sense with insurance companies, and they have nothing in common. I wish he would promote a plant based diet.

Dr DaSilva is a very knowledgeable and dedicated doctor. He listens, really listens and that can't be said of all doctors in my experience. I have now been a patient of Dr. DaSilva for several years and the high quality of care hasn't diminished. After an unsettling experience with another doctor, I transferred to Dr DaSilva and I have never regretted doing so. In all of the years that he has been my doctor, I've never had to wait for long periods because he was running late, or when asking for an appointment to see him. Maybe he's been a well kept secret and maybe I shouldn't let the public in on it...but he is so deserving of high praise. Dr DaSilva is a very knowledgeable and dedicated doctor.
