Dr. David J Chalker JR.

Kind experienced doctor that has become increasingly discouraged with the system he now works for and it shows. Great for minor issues but missed several potentially life threatening issues for me. I feel lucky to have moved on and it is a shame UPMC never felt it worth their time to ask why!

The staff members are entirely the rudest staff I’ve ever seen. For 5+ years I have never had a friendly interaction or warm welcoming. Was so excited to release my paperwork from this office. Never once had a pleasing visit. I would definitely search elsewhere if you want a staff that actually cares about their job.

This is one of the best doctors I know. Can be a little gruff, like a “BBC Dr. Martin” to the adults but he is upfront with testing and diagnosis and he honestly cares. He has been our doctor 20+ years. Loves the kids He has probably “seen it all”. BTW, the office staff is hired through the parent medical organization that owns the facility and not selected or managed by the doctor. This is one of the best doctors I know. Waited 30 minutes for the doctor to come in for my new paitent exam. Didnt appologize for the wait. Spent 5 minutes with me and walked out without even shaking my hand goodbye. Reception was supposed to give me a referal to see a dermatologist but whoever does them wasnt there on so i was supposed to get a call back from them. 3 days later no one had called me so i called them. I explained the situation that i just needed my referal faxed to a dermatologist and then I was placed on hold for 8 minutes when someone new got on the phone and said can i help you. I said yes with my referal? And she said what about a referal? I rexplained the situation and she said she would fax it. This Dr has to be the worst Dr I have ever encountered !!! He shouldn’t have a license to practice medicine ,I can understand why he is loosing patients to another practice in Shrewsbury because he’s rude an a total jerk !!! Hope my Dr never uses thís jerk as an on call Dr. again . Man is WORTHLESS !!

My 4 children and myself have been patients of Dr Chalker and Dr Miller for years. They have both been great for our family. My kids have always looked forward to appts with Dr Chalker, even when sick or injured. He is amusing, shares great stories of his youth that they relate to and gives them good advice, especially as they got older and were considering college and careers. He takes their health conditions seriously and is clear and no nosnsense with them about their health.

Dr Chalker Jr is an outstanding family doctor. I have been a patient for years and have never had an issue or concern over his attention, direction, professionalism, or any other aspect of our meetings. He has earned my trust and respect. While the insurance companies seem to rate all doctors on some factors of patients visited per day, Dr Chalker will spend the time with you to understand your needs, answer your questions, address your concerns, and respect your time.

Dr Chalker is very experienced and is a strait shooter. A great doctor and Marine.

Dr. CHALKER seems to have forgetten his Hippocratic Oath. Its been my personal experience over several visits (2yrs) that he is more a Dr. of insurance directives and that of patient benefit. Refusing me treatments base on his personal 'feelings' and not symptomic conditions. He perfers to talk about the history of York county as oppose to purpose and remodies of visit. When confronted directly about this he speaks in riddles and humorisms and direct answers.

Dr Chalker is a nice guy but shows zero interest in trying to let a patient know how much they are going to be billed for a procedure after insurance payments. Dr. Chalker is the best .The doctor has a ton of knowledge and is direct.
