Dr. David Cassius

I have seen Dr Cassius on and off for the last 15 years for chronic back pain. When I first saw him I was popping vicodin like jelly beans and under his supervision I weaned off the narcotics and his injections worked miracles. You have to stick with it and actually do the exercises even when it's painful....to see results. After 6 mos of injections all the while doing pt I am virtually pain free. Over the years I have tweaked my back or twisted the wrong way and have had to return for a visit or 2 but have always had a great outcome. I am a physical therapist working for MTI Physical Therapy in Magnolia and MD Cassius is one of the only physicians who has called me personally to check on the progress of one of his patients that I was caring for. I was pleasantly shocked as this shows that his goals of treatment are to help his patients get better rather than getting them in an out of the clinic to make a quick buck off of them. We briefly discussed the techniques used to treat the found condition, and I was in complete agreement with his treatment approach (treating the body as a whole rather than just the affected body part). A remarkable Pain Physician that does not use Opioids to treat pain. Instead, he uses nerve blocking techniques to shut down the pain until the body heals itself. I would definitely recommend Dr Cassius.

Had good long lasting results.

I had been in severe nerve pain for 1 1/2 years before I found Dr. Cassius. I felt like I had no quality of life. After seeing many specialists, I was referred to Dr. Cassius. At my first visit to him, he said he could help resolve this pain. I had tears in my eyes, finally seeing someone who could help me. And he did. Rude and arrogant man. Would be better suited to an area of medicine that requires little to no empathy and compassion. Perhaps research. A one size fits all treatment plan which corresponds closely to his view that all pain (& patients) are equal. To which the conclusion is drawn that if the patient is not making progress, it is the patient themselves at fault, I.e.; unwilling, or drug seeker, or lazy, etc. Tried for several months, very unpleasant experience.

After living with severe pain for almost 2 years, he was able to treat and relieve this pain. I will always think of him with gratitude. I highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. Cassius.

Dr. Cassius was recommended by my chiropractor for some very serious back and hip pain. He was kind, caring, not rushed. I love that he thinks outside of the box and seems to have a good understanding of the body as a whole, not just parts. I feel hopeful that I will continue feeling better, for the first time in a long while.

Went to see Dr. Cassius after a knee injury concerned that I had torn my ACL. Instead of recommending imaging, he charged me 800 dollars for a blood test and insisted my knee would be fine after some PT and rest. I listened to him and followed the PT but my knee still felt unstable. I went back to him after a couple of months and shared my concerns but he insisted there was no tear and that I should continue my PT. 10 months after my initial visit I go to a competent doctor who diagnosed me with

Dr. Cassius is the only doctor who has been able to figure the root cause of the pain in my arm and shoulder. After several sessions, I am now pain free. He is truly the best.

Actual experience wasn't bad - he ran some blood tests and recommended vitamins. Seemed to be convinced of the latest pseudoscience but told me what I wanted to hear. Called 3 times to get a letter of medical necessity and the office wouldn't return my calls. They then deposited my check 7 months after I wrote it, in a different calendar year, meaning I have no way to file with insurance for reimbursement. Very displeased with communication - only go here if you're looking for someone to tell you about the latest book they read while 'prescribing' medicines and then refusing to contact you ever again. If you want to decrease your pain and be healthier both physically and emotionally then Dr. Cassius can help. He spends a lot of time with each patient and can run late. But he is very straight forward and will tell you exactly what needs to happen to feel better.

I would highly recommend Dr. Cassius to everyone. He was awesomely patient with me, spent a long time listening to my concerns, and I thought he was the most caring doctor I have ever had. He seemed very professional and knew what he was doing. I sure appreciated your help. Thanks Dr. Cassius.

I'll never go to him and wouldn't recommend to anybody else! Rude and not pleasant manner of treating with patients! Be careful! He prescribed me to take hormones saying that i had a bad thyroid result! I took the results and showed them to another doctors! It appeared the result were normal! I guess for what reason he wanted me to get used to that dangerous pills?

Dr Cassius is the most caring, patient and compassionate doctor I have ever seen. He always took the time to listen to everything I wanted to share. He would sometimes run late because he was with other patients, but then he always took time necessary with me. I had a complicated spine pain problem that every other doctor told me I would have to live with, but Dr C cured me!

He believed my pain complaints (they were unusual) when other docs sent me to a psychologist, and then he figured out the source and guided me through the cure. He spent more time with me than all other docs combined! He also was the only one to really examine every part of my history. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer every question. After years of suffering, I am a completely different person now (even my wife says so).
