I want to give a shout-out to the awesome doctors at Carter Orthodontics. this was the first visit for my kids, and I was so blown away with how nice everyone is and how thoroughly they explained the treatment plan for both of my children.

Awesome It took some time to get an appointment. But the wait was worth it!!

I went for whitening of my teeth and was very pleased. Jerry was so friendly and made me feel very comfortable while she's explaining everything that she does. Maria handled my appointment and was very accommodating with my crazy schedule. I highly recommend this procedure to anyone wanting more white and brighter teeth. The procedure is painless and very reasonably priced compared to others in town.

Dr. Carter doesn't make you feel like a patient, he treats you like family. My daughter actually looks forward to her visits.

I can't write a review since I did not meet Dr Carter. I needed retainers to replace what I had. Xrays were taken then I was told I needed to buy their dental insurance before they would proceed making the retainers. If I had known this prior to x-rays, I most likely would not have gone any further. Yes, the staff was gracious and professional. Office was spotless but I believe I should have been informed about the obligation to purchase coverage prior to x-rays.

Dr. Carter and his team were great! My experience was very personal and I did not feel like I was quickly rushed to be given a quote of over $5000. Libby (I believe that's her name) was amazing! The best part is I have been comparing different quotes from other ortho offices and this is by far the best affordable deal and process I can find! Please go check them out for your self and make sure you receive more than one quote before you commit to any Ortho plan! I guarantee you if you come here you won't be disappointed! I look forward to my journey to a perfect smile! :)

I went for a consultation. Everyone was friendly & Dr. Carter provided the information I needed to make a decision about braces. He put braces on my son and my husband and both were very pleased with the results. I'm sure I will be too.

Dr jackie and staff were very helpful in explaining tmd related questions and were very pleasant and courteous.

Honestly, a total waste of money. I originally got braces as discussed with the Dr for my extreme overbite. Which has not been fixed at all, I asked about forsus springs instead of the rubberbands which aren't working and I was rudely informed that their job was only to "straighten" my teeth, I would have gotten Invisalign if that was the case. The lady working on my teeth also had a few words she thought she should utter about me under her breath. Some people might have a better experience but I wasted alot of money as well as time. Overall 0/10 definitely would recommend somewhere with more comforting and kind workers as well as those who are able to communicate treatments with their patients. You would think they were taught that in dental school.

My visit today went very well. Libby was very friendly, and before she proceeded with taking the X-rays, she explained everything she was going to do. Dr. David was also friendly. He explained what was going on with the muscles near my jaw. I would recommend this practice highly.

I am a former patient of Dr. Williamson, so I was going for a consultation. I understand that the office doesn't take my insurance and with Dr. Williamson office I had a referral so I didn't see a bill. I understand having the membership for a discounted rate if I needed additional hardware, however if I'm staying in my hardware from Dr. Williamson and will not use the services of Dr. David why am I paying up front for a service I may never use in the future. Miscommunication in information given prior to my appointment, even when I have a coworker coming there for TMJ as well. The up to date equipment was wonderful and Dr. David was very informative about my treatment. I did receive an apology call, however you already have my money for a service I may never use. I thought I was transitioning to a new office with a better resolution for my TMJ.

My first visit could not have been any better. Everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr David was friendly and explained everything he would be doing for my condition. I’m very happy to be Patient now of Dr David and his staff.

I took my 2 boys for a second opinion consultation. I loved how all the staff interacted with patients and each other. Dr. David had so many great things to say about his staff and that is something you don't hear often. They explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Dr. David even gives you his cell phone number to contact him if you have additional questions after your visit. I was floored at how affordable braces are at Carter Orthodontist. The first orthodontist I went too would had cost me more than double the cost at Carter Orthodontist. Also, the initial cost is way more affordable than the other Orthodontist office (I'm talking $1200 less). Thanks to Dr. David and Carter Orthodontist, I will be able to afford to get braces for both of my boys and not have to put it off any longer.

I recently suffered a minor injury to two of my front teeth. The injury limits me to eating soft foods. Dr. Carter's office got me in for an assessment within two days of my call. Dr. Carter discussed a treatment plan with me after the assessment and treatment began the same day. I could not ask for a better response to my needs.

I was there for a consult with my son for braces. I was extremely surprised and taken back that an orthodontist did not even look at his teeth, or in his mouth. The lady that helped us was super professional, however to pay 4500 wo seeing an orthodontist seems odd. I think maybe this office has to much business or has list the personal touch. My opinion of corse.

I had an amazing experience at the the Grovetown office. Megan was the BEST!! ! I am self conscious about my teeth and was a little apprehensive. I was able to relax and my treatment plan was explained in a way that I could understand everything. I would definitely recommend them.

Currently having our last two of five children being treated by Carter Orthodontics. Despite our living out of town, we had such good experiences with our older children that we did not think twice about going anywhere else. The staff is always polite and engaging, and Dr. Carter...still the best!

It’s been a few years since I have been here so maybe things have changed. But their staff was very rude the last time I went here and made me feel so small and self conscious about my teeth. Dr Carter was nice, but because of the staff, I decided I would never go back. You can tell people how to care for their teeth without making them feel like garbage.

My experience was great! When I walked in I was greeted with smiles and good energy. Mrs. Libby was so sweet from the time she called me back until I left and she talked to me like she has known me forever. Dr. David was super nice and he joked with me. He was also straight to the point and didn’t prolong the appointment and he didn’t take long to come in with a treatment plan after all my pictures were taken. Overall my experience was wonderful.

Mrs. Linda was very nice and polite. My daughter loves her. She is ready to get her journey started. Staff was very nice.

I’m not sure if he is new or not but that is the first time I see him. He broke 2 brackets while changing wire and hurt my kid gums because one of the equipment got stuck. I take a look at the new brackets and he didn’t even clean glue off around the bracket area. It just a clumps of glue and bracket on top unlike others. But the rest is good just not this time with this guy.

The bed side manners of the young lady that fitted me today for the retainer was poor. 1st I would think cleanliness would be important with COVID 19. I did not see her wash her hand but it does not mean she didn't. Then she appeared to have an attitude when she called me to the back. Secondly she pulled out 2 gloves , messed with cords on the floor, pulled the monitor. I thought she was going to wash her hands but she didn't. She did get new gloves since she had the 1st set on the floor (that rub me the wrong way from the beginning) since I knew she was going to work in my mouth. Finally she could not effectively get the scan captured right. I was really annoyed on how she kept harshly putting the instrument against my gums and lips, constantly pointing the light in my eyes. This was the worst experience I ever had at Carter Ortho. The service is normally outstanding but it was lacking today. On a positive side the receptionist was great and able to squeeze me in due to a cancellation today so I felt happy about that.

After visiting a different Orthodontist office, I found Carter Orthodontics to be much more affordable. The atmosphere put me at ease, especially because of the friendly techs who give you their undivided and professional attention. My son is also a patient/client there and we've had no problems with his experience either. I will most likely be bringing my youngest son to Carter Orthodontics in a few years as well...no hesitation.

This was my first time coming to the Grovetown office in the service received was phenomenal. The ladies in the office were quick and efficient the office was clean, I was offered a blanket to keep me cozy during my appointment. In addition I was in and out ahead of my scheduled appointment time due to the staff being willing to accommodate my early arrival. If you are considering Dr.Carter and his staff look no further this is the place to go for all your orthodontic needs.

I really can’t give this practice a good rating and would strongly suggest considering alternatives as they appear to be more focused on money than patients. Before my treatment, my wife and children all had teeth alignment done by Carter Orthodontics and were satisfied. However, my experience with Carter Orthodontics as a whole was mediocre, capped by an ugly final appointment. The practice did a reasonably good job of straightening my teeth, with the exception of a persistent small gap and slightly twisted upper incisor. At my next to last appointment in October 2019, the office wanted to declare my treatment completed, but I pointed out that there was still an issue with my upper teeth. One of the orthodontists, Dr. “Buddy” Donaldson, did some adjustments to my teeth and I was told to return in 8 to 10 weeks for a retainer check, wearing my retainer as much as possible. Any needed appliances would be prescribed at the retainer check because my teeth might move. The recheck appointment wound up scheduled for April 2020 but the office canceled it, presumably due to the Covid pandemic. It was rescheduled for July 2020. When I showed up, instead of getting a retainer check as expected, the orthodontic assistant insisted that my treatment was complete and that any services would be at additional cost. I thought she was mistaken and asked to see a doctor. Dr. Donaldson, who treated me at the October appointment, showed up and immediately assumed a defensive and aggressive attitude. He repeatedly told me that they had treated my teeth for a long time for free, insinuating that I was asking for additional free service. Among other things, he said “we’ve done all we can, there’s nothing more we can do for you” – unless of course I paid. I pointed out that there was a contract with their practice to straighten my teeth and that I paid over $6200 for their services, meaning the treatments most certainly weren’t free. The tone of the exchange with Dr. Donaldson was developing into an argument. Out of respect for other patients undergoing examinations in the same room I decided not to continue the discussion, which had simply become embarrassing. Even so, Dr. Donaldson made a number of unprofessional, confused and misleading claims, including saying that my signature on the “retainer contract” meant that treatments were complete. When I returned home I recovered the “contract” and it, with his signature on it, had a box checked that said I should return in 8-10 weeks for a retainer check. This was the appointment that I thought I was going to have. He also had one of the staff produce a payment schedule, which showed I agreed to make payments over 24 months, asserting that this meant my treatments were only to last 24 months and that I’d gotten off for free past that time. Insultingly, he thought I was stupid enough to think a payment schedule is the same as a contract for treatments. It’s good that I didn’t pay my bill immediately, because according to him I’d only be entitled to 1 day to have my teeth aligned. This doctor would benefit from courses in patient relations, business management and perhaps ethics. Even if the practice were to relent and do what they said they would do, I’d decline because I really wouldn’t want a dental procedure performed by someone with an attitude. Bottom line, I was given an appointment that I was instructed to make, took time off from work, and then ambushed by being told that I was ineligible for treatment in front of other patients in the same room. Never did get that final retainer check.

I came in two weeks ago because I had an tmj episode. Dr. Cooper saw me on the spot prescribed medication and today was my follow up. She said I’m not 100% but I’m so much better than the day I came in. I was cleared to be scammed for my next set of Invisalign’s and I’m feeling pretty good.

Very organized and friendly atmosphere in Aiken. Dr. Carter is extremely knowledgeable and eager to help and more importantly the staff was an excellent resource. My granddaughter was involved and asked questions. Overall a great visit.

Always transparent about what can, should and would need to be done for the current treatment as well as the future treatments. I have one more child who will need services.
