I saw Dr. Berry and his staff through my pregnancy due to being on blood thinners and I cannot recommend them enough. There are no dumb questions and you never feel like they are in a rush to leave the room. Dr. Berry and his staff make sure to truly explain everything to you that you leave feeling educated and confident. This was extremely important to me since this is my first pregnancy and I’m high risk. I will definitely be using his office again for any future pregnancies. I was SO FORTUNATE to have Dr. Berry recommended to me as specialist in high risk pregnancies. At the time of pregnancy, I was 34 years old, with uncontrolled type 1 Diabetes. With Dr. Berry's direction, I was able to control my blood sugars, remain working fulltime (elementary teacher), and deliver a healthy 5.9lb baby! I had challenges, but Dr. Berry and his staff were instrumental in supporting me during my entire pregnancy. Doctor and his nurse are both very rude.

my wife went in for a ultrasound recommended by my midwife and they recommended Dr. Barry. I gave them my insurance information thinking they would bill my insurance. NO. They charged me full price for a 10 minute sonogram with a tech. So I called my insurance weeks later after noticing they DID bill my insurance and and received payment from me AND my insurance Aetna. So now they have double the money. I called to get reimbursed and it I am STILL waiting for my $267 back. I keep getting the run around from the office. My sonogram was in July and it is now December 8th and I still haven't got my money back. Just called today to get the run around again. Was told the office manager would call me back let's see how long that takes. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AUSTIN PERINATAL ASSOCIATES. Tech & Nurse were really sweet when I FINALLY got to go to the back. They had me go to my appointment 30 minutes early because there was "so much new paperwork to be done." No. It took them 15 minutes to give me my paperwork and 10 minutes for me to fill out. Appointment was at 3:30, didn't get called back until close to 4. Dr. Berry saved my son life 15yrs ago. So now 15yrs later here pregnant again. Im a high risk, so naturally come to him. Hes a very kind, and good doctor. Couldnt be more happy! Him and his stuff are great and understanding. They are all kind, with smiles on there face. Dr. Berry is great and wouldnt trust any other doctor as do him. My wife went to Dr. Berry for a CVS procedure for genetic testing of our baby. We are from San Antonio and were off-put by our dealings with the perinatal group in town. We are so grateful to Dr. Berry and his staff as they are very courteous, compassionate and were willing to go the extra mile for us! Dr Berry and his staff were absolutely amazing. I don’t have enough good words to say about them. In moments of hardship during our pregnancy they were empathetic, loving caring and I was in no doubt from the first moment I met Dr Berry that I was in the best hands for an amniocentesis. He made me feel relaxed and safe and I didn’t fee a thing! I couldn’t believe how good he was. As a midwife, I refer clients here for ultrasounds and consultations. This practice is friendly, well-organized, and high-quality. Families are always pleased with their experiences. They are often able to get an appointment quickly, and the pricing is upfront and simple. I highly recommend this practice!

This place and staff are all amazing! My wait time was just a few minutes. The lady doing my ultrasound was sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. I love that they have a screen on the wall so you can see your baby while they take measurements and look at everything. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to say a few words about Dr. Berry. I saw him throughout my pregnancy as I was slightly at high-risk to have pre-term labor. He truly is a very intelligent, caring Dr. who is one of the best in his field. Both my husband and I felt we were in very good hands. If you have any type of high-risk issue he is your guy! When I walked in to Dr. Berry’s office all the staff where so friendly and helpful. My husband and my 1 1/2 year old son came along with me to see the baby. The waiting room had puzzles for my son to play with. The ultrasound teach was so nice and made me feel comfortible. She answered all our questions. I met with Dr. Berry after to discuss my previous pregnancey and son’s early arrival. He was so kind and helped walk me threw in depth of my son’s personal reason for coming so early. He also set up another appointment for me. So I won’t be worrying about an early arrival with this new baby. I’m planning on a home birth with my midwife. Dr. Berry never made me feel bad about this choice. During our conversation my son was very busy and loud at this point. Dr. Berry went along with our conversation with no anoience to my son at all. I was referred to Dr. Berry for issues with my blood pressure. He was over an 1 1/2 hr. late...he gave no acknowledgement of that. Staff was great but no one ever said how far behind he would be running or if I would like to reschedule. He came in and shook our hands but had his back turned to us the whole time while he asked questions & wrote. Never experienced that with a doctor but his pictures with patients seemed so welcoming & friendly. I was very puzzled when he asked what I wanted to do with my bp medicine...I thought that's the reason I was referred & charged to be here so that you can direct me on doing what's right for me and my baby. Am I supposed to be logging thrse pressures? No guidance. Then he asked me was I interested in getting a needle stuck in my stomach to pull out some amniotic fluid... isn't that an amniocentesis...is that how doctors ask now...I thought you give the name of the procedure then go on to explain what it is. If I ever thought I might be interested not anymore. I have an appointment to go back but not sure if I feel confident...I didn't feel very comfortable with his bedside manner. Dr. Berry is an amazing doctor! He is always willing to answer any of your questions/concerns that you may have and treats you as an individual patient not one that’s among the crowd. I am very pleased with the service we have received from him and his staff.

I love Dr.Berry and his team! I was referred to him to discuss a plan for my anxiety which causes BP issues. He is always so great about spending as much time as I need with him, very thorough, and just such a great guy! I feel really lucky that my baby and I are under the care of such a wonderful physician. This is my first baby so I've had a lot of questions and concerns and Dr. Berry always seems to calm me and give me reassuring advice. I'm truly grateful for he and his team! I have seen Dr. Berry for two pregnancies now. Every time I walk into the office I feel like they genuinely care about me. Dr. Berry always spends time in the room going over all of my concerns and questions and never rushes me. Knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, warm, sincere: these are a few word to describe Dr Berry. I have used Dr Berry personally, and as a midwife have referred clients to him. And I can say wholeheartedly that he and his staff are wonderful. 5 stars.

Worst doctor ever. Gave me an appointment for a Fri at 11 am a few days before, knowing he wouldn't be there, and that they close at 12pm, 3 weeks before due date. Then let his mediocre Robin rushed my measurements, diagnosed me wrong and sent me to hospital to be induced, mistakenly, resulting in a lot of pain (for both baby and I) and a preemie weight, without proof. Deeply upset about the lack of professionalism and competence. Do not recommend going there. Worst doctor ever. I've only had one appointment so far yet I can already say that these people are the kindest and most attentive medical staff I've ever encountered. Starting all the way with Tammy at reception, who took the time at the end of the day (after 4pm) to field my phone call with all sorts of insurance questions, never cutting me off, and getting me in with Dr. Berry the very next day, less than 24 hours later! In person she is even sweeter. The sonographer I had (whose name regretfully I cannot remember, I'm sorry!!) gave very detailed play by plays throughout the entire ultrasound- by far the most informative and talkative I have encountered! And then Dr. Berry himself is absolutely amazing. Hand crafted for this field. He gave me as much explanation as I wanted over every question I had, never balked at a question, never interrupted. He took the time to make sure I understood all the information and validate all my feelings about everything. You can tell he cares about his patients and their comfort. My son has MCDK and I know we are in the best possible hands with Austin Perinatal Associates. They are simply wonderful and you can tell everyone actually enjoys the work they are doing, which makes all the difference. I have never felt so relieved. I researched and found Dr. Berry after going to another popular central city perinatal specialist office. At that other office I felt like a "number" and did not feel like they were taking my unique issues into account for specialized treatment. I didn't feel like they had my and my baby's best interest at heart and new I needed a second opinion. After that first visit with Dr. Berry I never looked back. What I found with Dr. Berry was irreplaceable. He was honest, interested, informed and informative, concerned and caring. He's pragmatic while using his experience and science to help decide the direction of treatment. He listened to us and understood exactly where we were coming from. He has never treated us like just another patient to get in and out in 10 min or less. Instead, he took his time and we figured out a plan together. I've seen him from week 22 through to the end of my pregnancy. I have an immense amount of respect and trust in Dr. Berry and that doesn't come lightly from me. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone who has special needs during their pregnancy. Now... if he could also deliver my baby I'd be the happiest mama ever! :)) The entire staff is great!!
