Dr. David John Bailey

This is one of the best doctors I have been to in a long time. Before my surgery, he explains everything in great detail to me. After my surgery, he gave me his cell phone number. He also called to check on me when I got home—one of the good guys. I would use him anytime I have an issue with my ears, nose, and throat.

I’ve heard good things about Dr. Bailey but I will never know because of the receptionist. Tried to get an appointment and they aren’t accepting new clients with my insurance. Okay, fine I’ll cash pay. Nope, they won’t allow me to do that either. I was referred to this Dr office from the ER as I’ve had an ENT infection for 3 weeks now with no relief after taking several medications. I understand that it’s technically not the receptionist fault for these policies but she was VERY rude about it and not helpful in any way possible. When I was a kid I went to Dr. Humphrey’s office but he’s not in my network. Only ENT dr that is, is Bailey. Desperate, I called Dr. Humphrey’s office and the receptionist was very understanding and worked me in right away. Would 10/10 recommend Dr. Humphrey’s based on the staff alone. Had an apt been waiting for over a month for it got called and they rescheduled my apt. Finally got to the dr apt was at 845 didn't get seen till 10 no one came out to check or say he was in surgery all that time. I drove almost two hrs does not recommend him lady at window very rude. Wont be going back. Very poor service.

They scheduled me an appointment at 3pm Friday got there 20 minutes early as asked and nobody was there. I waited over 3 weeks for this appt. I took off work and had to drive 45 minutes only for the answer service to tell me sorry but everyone went home at 12... My first appt and already can tell the service is poor!

Tried to get an apointment. Was told the earliest was in almost 3 weeks. I told tbem I was having almost comstant ear aches. Sory, that is the earliest. Now, 2 days before thw appointment, they called and the good doctor is unavailable so they need to move the appointment out 3 more weeks. Screw them.

My 4 yr old grandson had an emergency situation and we were referred by our local Emergency Room Dr the previous night, Wednesday. We were not told this "Dr" only works half the day. Thursday, I did not have the 1/2 of the possible cost of the visit so my grandson was turned away. With a few calls I came up with the entire proposed amount. I called back to find out the "Dr" would not be in the office on Friday. I believe the "Dr" has either forgotten why he became a doctor or he only became a Dr for the money. I had been to two other ENT specialists after suffering a sudden hearing loss. Neither one made a correct diagnosis. At wits end, I decided to drive to Lufkin to Dr. Bailey. Scheduling was a breeze, his staff was prompt and courteous, my wait in the waiting room was less than 10 minutes. Dr. Bailey spent almost 30 minutes with me going over everything, unlike the others I had seen, who spent less than 5 minutes. After the diagnosis, he scheduled a CT scan. I highly recommend him. Scheduling was a breeze, his staff was prompt and courteous, my wait in the waiting room was less than 10 minutes. I have been a patient of Dr Bailey's since 2006 he saved my life finding that I needed a Trache to breathe and have life and when I call to make an appointment his staff gets me in as soon as possible,and once I make it to the exam rooms he tries to be as quick and accurate as possible.

I would not recommend due to poor scheduling, cancelled appointment, then a call after my 1 star review, that relayed a lie that I had cancelled an appointment. Appointment was 3 weeks out, even though I was in pain. Appointment cancelled and offered another 3 week wait. Excuses but no service. The doctor might be great, I did not get to see him, but his staff certainly IS NOT.

Scheduled an appt. Got there 20 minutes early as the receptionist requested and when I arrived the office staff had went home... Called the answering service and she suggested I go back home and call back on Monday. I took off work and drove 45 minutes for this appt for my 3yr old son..

Recently seen Dr. Bailey for my son. He was very unconcerned and basically told us that if it hurts to touch a specific spot, then don't touch it but did not take the time to figure out why he is hurting. He agreed that it isn't normal but was too unconcerned to find out why he was having the pain. Very disappointed and will NOT recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Bailey was very kind and accommodating when I suddenly found myself with an awful ear infection. He worked me into his fully booked schedule and took time with me to ensure I was made comfortable. I highly recommend him and appreciate him tremendously. Very thorough and accurate diagnosis.

I called his office to ask about getting an appointment. The woman that answered the phone answered 2 questions for me and while I was midsentence on the third question she said ok, thank you, bye and hung up on me. I have used Dr Bailey in the past but now I don't think I want to if his staff is that rude.

misdiagnosed me twice. And the staff are just rude. God forbid, you ask a question.

Some staff members was not courteous. You can never get an appointment within one week. Doctor Bailey is a sweet heart, but staff is not nice.

Dr. Baily is amazing! He was so calm and patiant with my 6 year old when he had an air soft pellet shoved deep into his ear. I was very pleased with the way the situation was handled and how he made sure we understood everything that was going on.
