I have been on the same treatment for many years from another provider who is no longer with Essentia. My blood levels are one midrange normal for my age, and the other a couple points above normal for my age, but still within normal for the entire population. I'm in my mid 40's and have the normal levels of a 30 year old. These doses were come up with over a 5 year period to determine what feels best for me. They affect my sleep, energy levels, libido, anxiety, and depression. I am happy where I am. As soon as Dave Akkerman took over my care, he cut my dose in half. I am highly anxious about this as I know what it feels like to be deficient. All my other bloodwork comes back in the normal healthy range including my blood pressure the day of the appointment. I am now forced to go to a specialty clinic outside of network to get the proper dose. They don't accept my insurance. Due to Dr. Akkerman's ignorant and outdated views on hormone replacement therapy I am forced to change providers
