Dr. Darren Michael Kocs

Have been under the care of Dr. Darren Kocs since October 2021. From the initial diagnosis to the present, Dr. Kocs has been willing to answer and explain any questions I have had regarding my care even to drawing diagrams that help make things understandable. He has been very professional as well as very personal ond caring in his personal contact with me. I highly recommend Dr. Darren Kocs and Texas Oncology for cancer care. Eddie Coleman

Dr. Kocs and the staff are very informative oncologist. The Texs Oncology staff review my bloodwork, keeps me up to date on my treatment and side effects caused by treatment.

Dr. Kocs has the qualities that give me confidence that he has my best interests at heart. Not only is he very thorough but also kind and personable which makes my journey fighting cancer more tolerable and less scary.

Dr. Kocs is a very thorough oncologist. He is informative about treatment options and referrals to other oncology specialists. (surgeons and radiologists).

Dr. Kocs has always been very professional. I love that he does not sugar coat the reality of cancer and it's treatment. He is a strong advocate of large clinical trials and guidelines. I highly recommend him.

As a new cancer patient referred to Dr. Kocs and Texas Oncology, I appreciate the prompt and professional medical services that I have received from Dr. Kocs and the Texas Oncology Team. While my care and treatement plan are in the early stages, I have confidence and feel blessed to have Dr. Kocs and the Texas Oncology Team as we move forward.

First saw Dr.Kocs in 2019 who diagnosed me with marginal zone Lymphoma. I was on watch and wait process for 3 years until WBC started rising fast. I am currently taking immunotherapy (Rituximab) 4 sessions of which I have had 3. WBC has decreased considerably at this point. Dr. Kocs and his staff are and always have been very professional and very caring.

Dr. Kocs is a brilliant and dedicated oncologist who is compassionate and straightforward and puts his patients first.

Always very detailed in explaining my health conditions and what he has planned for improving them. Courteous. Very concerned about my health.

He is a wonderful doctor. He is very straight forward and informative. He seemed to know exactly what was wrong with me and fixed it! I trust him with myself and anyone else in my family.

The staff in the Round Rock TXO office are just great. They try to accommodate everyone and treat everyone fairly and quickly, from reception, to lab, and treatment. Consultations with Dr. Kocs are great and meaningful, giving you all the information you need to feel confident you are on the right treatment or recovery plan. The work they do to monitor and assist you through treatment and recovery is excellent.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer, which sent us to Dr Kocs. He’s very patient and through. He answered all of our questions and made sure we were fully informed. He’s nice too!

Dr Kocs is top notch, caring professional. He has followed my treatment and recovery for over 2 years. Always willing to answer my questions and concerns. His office staff( fem reception, to CNAs, to Nursing, to billing and insurance go above and beyond In helping whether it is face to face, on the phone, or via the portal. They seem to care deeply about making sure we are truly taken care of, encourage us to be a part of all decisions, and listen! It is awful to have to deal with cancer, but with an exceptional team like this, it is doable

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I was in shock. My family and I had a lot of questions. Dr. Kocs took all the time we needed and answered all our questions. He made us feel like I was his only patient. Every visit Dr. Kocs explains everything he is doing for me. He is never in a hurry; I am his first concern. He is one of the best doctors I have ever met.

Dr. Kocs saved my life. I have been given such excellent care. With the odds stacked against me Dr. Kovs put in place a treatment plan that has at least for now stopped the growth of my cancer for over three years giving me so much more time with my family and to enjoy my grandkids. Simply amazing. I am so thankful.

Honest, fun, openly discusses situation and options

To this point Dr. Kocs has been thorough and informative. He had taken time to answer any questions I might have and he has been encouraging during the treatments. Will see him in August 2022 for the next visit.

I have been seeing Dr. Kocs for more than a decade! When I developed cancer, I immediately decided to recieve my treatment at Texas Oncology. Dr. Kocs is one of the very few people in my life that I trust explicitly. I love the facility, all the nurses are caring and friendly! I felt at peace getting my chemotherapy and radiation treatments at the same location.

Dr Kocs is very thorough in his explanation of what treatments he recommends. He answers questions and takes the time that is necessary. I know I am still alive today because of him.

Dr Kocs always explains test results in a manner I can understand. He coordinates with my other doctors to ensure I’m getting the best care.

Its always a pleasure seeing Dr.Kocs. Our visits are warm, friendly, an straight to the point. I'm always in and out and I like that about him. We take a moment to catch up an then discuss my health. He has been thorough since I started seeing him. Thank You Sir for all you do :)

I am quite happy with my doctor. He is always attentive to my words, offers good advice and encouragement. So, I believe that he is what any oncologist - in this most trying of the medical fields - should be.

All the nurses that I came in touch with have been kind , friendly and concerned for your health. Dr Kocs is a fantastic Doctor and I would not want anyone else as my Oncologist. The staff and nurses have always been top notch and taken very good care of me!

Diagnosed a little over a year ago, i was referred to Dr Kocs right away. i am so grateful and fortunate to have him and his staff guiding and treating me through this disease. I had also been working with a world class, highly regarded cancer center here in Texas. I stopped making those trips to Houston as the care i am receiving from Dr Kocs exceeds all my expectations and he is literally saving my life. Dr. Kocs has been my doctor since 2005. He has kept me alive all these years. He is friendly, compassionate, and very intelligent. There is nothing more you could want in a doctor.

I have total confidence in Dr. Kocs. I just go once a year for follow-up, and he is always cheerful and direct with his update on my health.

Dr. Kocs and staff are the best. The communication system with the schedulers stinks. Under the old system, you would be connected to a scheduler and talk directly to them or leave a voice message. Now you talk with whomever answers the incoming call, give them a message, they relay the message to the scheduler, the scheduler calls you and talks or leavers a message. If you need to discuss the matter further, you repeat the above cycle. Either go back to the old system or improve this one.

Dr. Kocs is a compassionate and excellent partner to have in my corner. Same goes for Rachel, his nurse practitioner. Wonderful staff in the infusion area as well. The only downside I have experienced is in the administrative area. Simply, forgetting I was there and having to wait over an hour at times.

I would definitely recommend him to anyone. I have always found him friendly, personable, caring, and thorough. I broke my wrist this summer when I passed out and fell and he was the only doctor that was concerned with my head when I told him about it 6 weeks after it occurred.

I switched to Dr Kocs per a referral from a friend due to my doctor moving. He immediately made me feel comfortable and hopeful. He is calm, thorough, and kind. In a scary world of cancer, this is very appreciated. The office is also very prompt and friendly. They’ve got it together! Highly recommend.

Rather than repeat what (most) other reviews have said ... Dr. Kocs, his staff, and the staff of Texas Oncology (from front desk to PET scans to janitors) has been amazing. While he may not always be immediately available, his staff can handle most situations immediately, and otherwise consults with him on a course of action.

Undergoing treatment for breast cancer is quite the journey, and for me, ended in a positive outcome. Dr Darren Kocs is a great doctor, made great recommendations , took time to explain options and has a great sense of humor in what can be very rough circumstances. He and his team took great care of me.
