Dr. Darlene Frances Daly

started out fine but the more you go the more you realize they are not professional at all. they neglected to call me when they had important information regarding me and my unborn child. said they called several times when they did not. she was a last resort when picking an obgyn, will definitely be getting a different ‘doctor’ next time i get pregnant. i put doctor in quotes cause idk if you should call her that. find someone else. when she told me i had gestational diabetes the whole office was super judgmental and they made it out to be a life or death thing for my baby which was very scary and incredibly stressful, don’t get me wrong it is very important but the way they handled it, very unprofessional. she doesn’t listen very well to patients and doesn’t ease any worry’s at all. also mentioned i need to start taking a certain medication over the phone then never mentioned it again and rushes me to get out everytime so i don’t have time to mention any questions or concerns. don’t like any of them in that office. do yourself a favor and find someone else.

I personally prefer someone who's straight to the point and tells me what I need. Doctor visits are always quick, no waiting in the waiting room forever like most places nor in the actual rooms. The time she saves on small talk is highly beneficial and makes me feel more comfortable. I can tell she cares for mine and my babies health without the overly fake excitement most places give.

She delivered our second child, delivery went fine. Dr has absolutely no bedside manner! Any health concerns brought to her attention seemed to be a burden to her and we’re dismissed with no explanation. We started looking for a new OB after the 2nd visit with no luck. Worse experience with a Dr ever. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I absolutely loved the honesty and to the point of the matter in which Dr Daly was. She went through every detail, every question nothing was left up in the air.

I seen her as a emergency one day because my doctor was at hurley and I couldn't get there I had to go to Lapeer hospital to check on baby, she treated me horrible because her and my doctor had a lawsuit agenst eachother. Unable to treat trans patients. I was turned away for a tubal because my license reads male, please do not expect help as an AFAB person or AFAB man seeking gynecological care of any kind. They are not currently equipped to handle trans patients.

About 4 years ago she delivered my healthy baby boy, she was quick and very professional for my C-section. At first I was a little scared because she was pretty stern but once I got to know her she was like a big teddy bear, she is an excellent OB

I have been seeing Dr Daly since I was about 16 years old. I am now 25. I am 28 weeks pregnant. Dr Daly is upfront and honest, she doesnt go into detail unless asked or needed. She does what she needs to do, says what she needs to say and is quick. If you have questions she will answer them. As seen from previous reviews Dr Daly is not a cheerleader OB. I love her for it. She would take as long as l needed in an appointment and not a min more. She is experienced, knowledgeable compassionate and no nonsense. I can understand that a first time mom might not love it. Especially if they have over worried themselves with every possible complication they can find on the internet. She won’t bring them up unless there is a reason. I've been seeing Dr. Daly for many years as my gynecologist. She is very thorough, answers any questions that I have, and gets the job done in a very timely manner...as someone else said, she doesn't dilly dally around. At first, she can be a tiny bit intimidating...most people who know their profession and do it well usually are. But once you spark a conversation with her, she's very, very nice and sociable. I hope she continues to practice for many more years because I plan on using her as long as she's available.

Just had my last visit with Dr. Daly after my 3rd child. I loved her. She is not in your face friendly but she actually cares and respects your time aka doesn’t dilly dally, I was in and out in 10 min often. She is practical, knowledgeable, kind and respectful. The reason for her bad reviews must be they are from people who want their hand held throuoand want every bit of information on every possible complication and each complaint taken as a serious concern instead of being told that everything they are experiencing is normal and not to worry. If I have anotchild I will plan to use her again.

ugh. who leaves a new born baby after he’s born and not check on him for 4 days? hmm not a good doctor.

She is a horrible doctor and I didn't even get to see her. Gave me the run-around then ended up refusing to even see me since I'm considered high risk. If I could give a negative rating, I would. I would never recommend her for anyone.

Didn't inform me that the first appointment was for paperwork only so we all came and son missed school for nothing. Also, the office staff made it seem like she might deliver at Hurley but when we got there, they said definitely not, only McLaren.....

All I got to say is her and her staff hate there job and should probably look for a different profession! They are very unprofessional and never told me over the phone what paperwork I needed to bring in and had to waste gas just to be told “well if you don’t have this paper on you we can’t see you” well you never told me on the phone or I would’ve brought it and not wasted gas or my time! I've had 4 babies with Dr. Daly and she was great everytime. She was very nice and helpful. She cared about me being in pain and made sure I had the pain meds I needed. I was worried about having another doctor deliver my babies because I wanted Dr. Daly, but she was there for me each time.

This Doctor is what nightmares are made of...

Extremely rude doctor and not worth your time

My wifes nurse was extremely rude and unprofessional. Was turned away by them due to being high risk also.

To post i have to put one star but, Really you dont need any stars you dont give care in a helpful way you are rude and its sad because pregnant woman count on you to be their! you seem that we are a burden!! You delivered my son and you were not nice then. But i gave you another shot and look your rude just like last time!!

Very straight forward doctor, doesn't sugar coat anything, love the professional atmosphere of the whole facility. Changed to Dr Daly because the last office kept giving me the run around, she took care of everything within three weeks.

Dr. Daly is very straight to the point and doesn’t sugar coat but she is also very compassionate. After my miscarriage my husband and I had a hard time getting pregnant again. She was very professional and very knowledgeable. My now 10 month old goes with me to her office and she will be delivering any future babies we have!

Excellent doctor. She’s quick and to the point. She takes great care of you and baby. She doesn’t sweet talk the truth. That’s what I like about her. And once you talk to her, yes she’s very friendly and funny. I think she gets negative reviews because you can get intimidated by her because she knows 100% what she’s doing.

Sloppy service and doctor. Went in for my annual because my OB moved and I was trying to find a new one. She was 20 minutes late on top of arriving with blood splattered all down her unwashed scrubs... I will NEVER return, she needs to retire and move. Take your sloppy moody staff with you.

I would never recommend anyone to Dr. Daly. I had 5 minuet appointments. And every appointment she seemed pissed off. She actually yelled at me one time because I didn’t get my blood work done the week before. She was super rude to me and my mother. She didn’t prepare me for anything. I went into labor knowing nothing. When I was going into labor every contraction felt like I was dying. I was having back labor too. Every contraction I was having was causing my sons heart beat to drop. Me and my family were very concerned. We kept notifying the nurses and they’d call dr Daly and all she’d say is “tell her to get an epidural” “everything’s fine” after 5 hours of labor my sons heart beat completely stopped with each contraction. At that time the nurse called the doctor and then came back into the room telling me I was going have an emergency c section. At this point We’re all freaking out. They knocked me and let no one in the room during surgery. My son ended up having the cord wrapped around his belly and arm twice. It took dr Daly 2 days after my c section to come see me and my baby. And when she did come she peeled her head in the door asked if I was fine then left. Didn’t see my baby. Didn’t ask about him. I always have to wait over a half hour and she never introduced herself or the man that was in the room before she gave me a vaginal exam. I am pregnant with my first child and during my first ever ultrasound she was silent and I got so worked up I had to ask if my baby's heart was beating to which she replied "yep". She then gave me a ripped ultrasound picture. I'm in the process of finding a new doctor. Update: I'm now seeing Dr. Lisa Allen and I love her! She's excited about my pregnancy everytime I see her and always makes me feel comfortable. So happy I switched. I personally have seen the doctor once the three months i have been a patient and she was in and out of me in less than 6 minutes. The nurse has done nothing but judge me and give me attitude. The nurse put me in the exam room and told me to completely undress while refusing to tell me what precedure was about to take place even after i had asked 4 times for her to explain what was about to happen. I also need emergency dental surgery and have been waiting over 36 hours for a permission paper from dr Daly. I’ve never experienced this horrible of treatment from the doctor and nurses. The nurse even yelled at my mother who tried to take care of the situation because the nurse was giving me such bad attitude for calling the office every 3 hours for my permission slip and this is after i waited in the emergency room at the dentist for 5 hours because dr Daly decided to leave at lunch and no one bothered to notify me.I am switching doctors today, this is not someone you will want to deliver your children. Dr. Daly is an amazing doctor. She is quick, straight to the point, and honest. She is extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions throughout my pregnancy and if I didn't understand, she would take the time to explain herself in more detail. Was misled by her office staff after being told she did deliveries at Hurley. This was not true, only under "special circumstances" would she do it. The room they put us in was dirty. They were an hour late getting to us. We literally left in the middle of our appointment after we had discussed the confusion and misled information. So now we are stuck with a forty dollar bill for services we never actually got. I don't get paid for half a job done why do doctors think they are any different.

Exceptional. Compassionate. Knowledgeable. I credit her with saving my life. I was very sick. I am back to health because of this exceptional doctor.

Dr. Daly rush through my exam. Did not seem concerned about any of my questions. Did not address when I explain the pain and issues I was having. She was in the room a total of 5 minutes with me and then told me I was done.

First off there is no reason to be so rude to a new patient. Second I came into this office with real concerns looking for a doctor who I was told was very professional and compassionate. I never in my life imagined she would be so rude and not understanding. Third there is a reason I specifically looked for a female doctor and even asked the nurse to make sure because I saw a male student waiting. Icompletely understand that there is male doctors in this world and that is fine, however I was not introduced to this male student. I was not asked if it would be ok if he was in the room for my exam. They both just walked in I may be a bit more understanding if I knew who he was but I was not informed that someone other then my doctor would be attending in the room. Nor did I give my consent. I was very uncomfortable and embarrassed having him in there. Again I do understand that he was a student and just doing what the doctor told him so I am not at all upset with him but it violated my rights as a patient. I am not happy! Just be aware of your rights before you come to this office. Also it's very hard to speak up for yourself with her. Our family had just experienced a miscarriage and Dr. Daly showed no compassion, no understanding, was very threatening and was assigning blame towards our situation. My wife was very upset and when I heard the story, I promptly canceled the next appointment.
