Called to make an an Appointment for my 1 yr old. After telling them his symptoms they told me to take him for a covid test , then to bring him to the office in blacksburg which was clearly discussed ( as thats our local office). We get to the office to be greeted by a sign on the door saying office is closed today. Tried calling again a few times an couldnt get a live person on the phone.. Ended up going to urgent care .. Use to be my girls Dr Office

I really dislike the office in Blacksburg. The only good thing about it is that you are almost always seen the day that you call. It may be a good thing but it is a bad thing too considering they are more worried about quantity of patients instead of quality of patients. That being said my son had to wait over five hours to get (breathing) nebulizer medication to be called into pharmacy. I really dislike the office in Blacksburg. Has the best doctor and staff. Very nice and understanding. Would recommend to all new parents in the area. ❤❤❤

All five of my children have seen Dr. Carling at one time or another, over the last 8.5 years (my youngest three since they were born). Gaffney and Blacksburg Offices are both wonderful. Friendly, Caring, Compassionate, Willing and Eager to help.

I recently moved here from New York with my family, so we were looking for a pediatrician for my son, Declan. Someone at my wife's work recommended Dr Carling, so we decided to give him a try. We set up an appointment, got in that same week, and my son loves it there. The staff is super helpful, Dr Carling and the other providers are great with my son, and you can tell everyone there genuinely cares about kids.

Dr Carling and his staff are very friendly and helpful. He even gave me his personal number for if I have questions about my son over the weekend or when they closed. Told me all sorts of things I could do to keep him from cryin a lot, how to help his brain grow, what to feed him, all that stuff. So nice! No other pediatrician I tried has been that nice to me. I LOVE it there and am glad I found a place for my son.

Friendly atmosphere. Before coming to Dr Carling, I took my daughters to another doctor. He told me that there was nothing wrong with them, that they just wanted out of school. Took them to Dr Carling and IMMEDIATELY they knew something was wrong. Did a few tests and found out they had a serious case of stomach flu. It was almost to the point that they needed to go to the ER. From then on, we've been with Dr Carling. Highly recommend.

Dr. Carling and his staff are wonderful! He and his staff of medical providers are always willing to listen and do what they must for your child. His reception and medical staff are wonderful with children and always do what they can to make the experience at the doctor's office easier for them.
