Dr. Dany A Obeid

Although I liked Dr. Obeid very much, the office staff & one of his PAs were beyond terrible. They are rude, and the phone system doesn't work so you can't call, leave a message, make an appointment. When I mentioned this to Dr. Obeid, he knew about it & said they were working on it. Fast-forward several months, phone problem still not resolved. I switched to his partner, Dr. Go, in Palm Coast thinking it would be better - silly me. Although Dr. Go was alright - not particularly warm but certainly professional but still the same problems: rude staff, phones don't work so can't call there, no follow-up on patient plans despite driving over to the office twice & promises from the "office manager" to follow-up on my sleep equipment. Quite frankly, I don't know how they have any patients with this poor level of care. Although all these issues seem to be with the staff, I believe it is ultimately the responsibility of the doctor to run their practices with professionalism - which is sorely lacked in these two offices. Save yourself time & aggravation and find another pulmonologist/sleep study specialist.

I started seeing Dr. O'Beid in July 2022 due to a fluid like feeling I had in my left lung, After reviewing the cat scan and breathing test I had done on that day he told me he thought there was something wrong with my stomach. The next visit I had was with his PA Ann Brenner who is located in Palm Coast closer to where I live. Since I had a 5m nodule on my left lung she wanted me to go for a Pet Scan before they did the biopsy, but never said I couldn't have the biopsy done if I didn't go for the Pet Scan even though I called her 3 times and she never called me back. So I went for the Pet Scan on 8/25/22 and it said the final diagnosis is benign pulmonary tissue with chronic inflammation fibrosis and reactive cellular changes. I went to see the dr. in November I saw his PA and she was very nasty, but once again tried to sell me sleep apnea meds. Even though my print outs said I had a 1.1 cc on my right lung and significant artery problems she said go back in 6 months.

I was seen by Dr Obeid for the first time yesterday. He was on time, thorough with his questions and the various tests and had an approachable bedside manner.

Short wait and then taken to exam room. Interacted with nurse immediately and got basics done. Routine follow up to last exam and saw nurse practitioner, Oksana, who I've seen before. We reviewed meds and got a shot to help facilitate my breathing. Scheduled next appointment and left. All good.

Today was the 1st visit to bring my mom to doctor Obeid's office. We were very impressed with the staff, especially the PA. , she was very professional and thorough. Definitely so much better than the last pulmonary office we were dealing with.

Dr. Obeid has an excellent staff that cares for all their patients. Dr. Obied took me from 17% lung function to 70%. I would truly recommend going to him if you have any lung issues. The nurses in the office are so gentle when giving shots. That just means everything to me! Dr. Obied is the BEST Pulmonologist in the WORLD!!!!

Ann(NP) was ok but no return calls and I couldn’t get through! I actually called the hospital to see if they could get through and after several minutes he came back with I can’t get through either! Maybe there should be a welfare check! I was called 2 days ago and was told mine and my husband’s upcoming appointment (4/26/22) was canceled! Call back to reschedule ~ I did ~ voicemail this time and no call back! Should their patients be calling cardiologist for oxygen? This is abusive! What’s the problem over booking? I was prescribed an inhaler my insurance would not cover and cost over $400. They never answered the phone or returned messages. I have been without Meds for 4 months. Office staff is incompetent . Do not go there

Poor Follow up. Contacted them twice after they failed to contact me within promised 10-14 days for equipment ordering. Its been more than 3 weeks and no one has contacted me. The gentleman who gives my husband his shots , heca great attribute, we love Dr. Obeid and assistants. We are so glad we are his patient!!!

Visits with the Doctors Staff are fine. Its the follow up after the visit that lacks. They promised a follow up call to order equipment within 14 days. I reached back to them after the promised date. Busy signal, no connection to a person. Voice mails left. No return calls. Still waiting from them to get my order in for my equipment to address my issue.

Horrible office follow up. Promised to contact me within a couple of weeks for equipment ordering. No one has reached back and its been more than 3 weeks. Phone system, busy signals, full voice mails, voice mails not returned to patient leaving message. A big cluster! Its a waste of time for apatient to be seen, diagnosed and then cannot get the care they need.

Very professional

Having been in the medical field for most of my life, I see Dr. O'Beid as a caring, knowledgeable physician. He is an excellent doctor and explains things very well to his patients.

This is the most unprofessional Doctor’s Office. My parents are in their 80’s. My father is a disabled veteran totally dependent on oxygen. Every appointment has been nothing but an extreme hassle. From NO ONE at the office for the scheduled appointment to absolutely no one contacting my parents or answering the phone. The numbers that have been given are either out of service or no end to leave a message. They have arranged for drivers to take them to appointments and being left with no one at the office. They have cards and confirmation of appointments with nothing. Dr Obeid and his office is a total disgrace to our elderly and veterans. I am disgusted with the treatment of my parents. They should be ashamed!!

Utterly unbelievable that you call the office press 2 for the receptionist, the phone rings 10 times and a recording comes on stating the mail box is full !!!!

I am only able to show 5 stars however my sister and I took our Mom for an appointment with Dr Obeid our experience there proved that he deserves 10 Stars. Dr Obeid showed so much care and compassion to our Mom along with his great knowledge in treatment for her. She only saw him for the for the first time during this visit he explained everything that was going on with her condition to us in full detail and what his plan was to help her get better Dr Obeid is very patient and answered all our questions and concerns. My mom see’s Dr. Obeid and I am not happy at all with that office. Everytime you make an apt to see him he’s called off on an emergency… everytime!!! His PA doesn’t know anything about you and it’s impossible to get in touch with the office or get a call back… terrible

My experience contradicts these other reviews greatly. Attentive staff, called me in a timely manner and they were courteous during my visit.

I am writing this review in hopes that someone sees it and Dr. Obeid never hurts another living soul. I fist saw Dr. Obeid I’m 2015. At that time he diagnosed me with COPD. I did not find out I had a potentially deadly disease till my Cardiologist told me in 2021. After 6 years of neglect I began to have symptoms. My cardiologist told me to walk at least 2 miles a day and use a incentive spirometer. Dr. Obeid said there was not any studies that indicated it helped my condition. So I looked it up Using an incentive spirometer can help you practice taking deep breaths, which can help open your airways, prevent fluid or mucus from building up in your lungs, and make it easier for you to breathe. So not only did he not tell me my diagnosis but told me not to use equipment that can help me. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

I am writing this review in hope that someone sees it and Dr. Obeid never hurts another living soul. He diagnosed me with COPD and never told me in 2015. I found out from my Cardiologist in September of 2021. My cardiologist told me to walk 2 miles a day and work that breathing machine you get after surgery. Dr. Obeid said there were no studies that say there is any benefit. Since then I have spoken with people who have COPD and that is standard treatment. So not only did he not tell me I was sick he also told me not to do something that can exercise my lungs to improve. He told me my lungs were operating at 80% yet the test indicates they are working at 50%. I am now having symptoms so I figured out something was very wrong. Stay clear if this man. He will take years off your life.

i had a scheduled appointment in palm coast. they left me a message on my phone that the appointment was at 1:15 in palm coast office. i sat there for half an hour and the office was never unlocked. i called the Daytona office and was told the office won't open until nov. i did not even get an apology

As a physician, Dr Obeid is great His office staff, however, is the worst I have ever encountered! If you can even get anyone on the phone, the word "surly" is an apt description. Calls aren't returned, paperwork isn't completed without several requests from myself or my pharmacist, and I'm always left feeling like I inconvenienced them by asking a question or making a request. This is not a one time problem, but one that has been ongoing. Like I mentioned initially, I am very happy with the medical care I have received. But patients must go through the staff in order to reach the doctor, and herein lies the problem!

Following a common theme throughout other reviews, Dr Obeid is 6 stars. The Office is a cluster. Do not return calls. Don't forward messages to Dr. Lost paperwork and forms. Desperately need a Receptionist and Administrator. Sad.

Dr. treated my wife while in the hospital. She did not survive her lung condition. Tried to get more information on the final cause of death and could not get a response from Dr. Obeid's office. It's been over three months since her passing and I still have unanswered questions. I do not have a will to carry on without her. Hoping for the time we are together again. We were together for 67 years, starting with the 10 grade of high school. I am now alone in an empty house.

Worst service ever. I called back to back 20+ times before someone answered, just so they could take "another" message... F@$% this place...

Great helpful Doctor and PA! Both are friendly and courteous. The office on the other hand is not. Everytime I have tried to call the staff is very rude. When checking in and out no one is friendly. If you don’t like your job get another.

It is seemingly impossible for this office to work in a coordinated manner - line is mostly busy, must leave message after message, no call back and a general don't care attitude. Shame because Dr. Obeid seems to be a very good doctor strangled by a careless staff.

Happy with Dr. Obeid and PA. Last year (2020) satisfied with staff. This year (2021) have called 4 times with no response. May have to change Dr. since I can’t get through to them. Could’ve given 5 stars without office staff.

Dr. Obeid is a wonderful pulmonologist who is also compassionate. I highly recommend him without reservation.

TERRIBLE

Getting appointments can be very difficult. I was assured the problem had been resolved at this time. I tried to reach out to the office again and once again I am seeing similar problems still in place.

I was there for a breathing test. The young lady that administered the test is a very pleasant, kind and considerate, professional. I felt completely at ease with her and the test. The office staff still continues to have a few bad apples. While waiting for next appointment, I just listened to the talk back and forth, nothing pleasant, tone was negative. Staff has always been a problem in this office. Dr. Obeid was in the office, saw him at check-out. I didn't warrant a visit with him, I will receive a phone call two weeks after my appointment to hear the results of the test. Appalling. Not impressed with this new system.

Dr. Obeid started as my attending pulmonologist while I was hospitalized and is now the ONLY pulmonologist I see. He came highly recommended by a friend who researches everything and every one as if his life depended on it. This doctor thoroughly explains the reasons behind his POC and is very welcoming of all questions and concerns. He treats his patients as his equal. A good, kind-hearted, and caring person and doctor!!!

Dr. Obeid is a very good Doctor, but it's not worth seeing him as his office staff is the worst I have ever dealt with. They never answer their phones, they promise they will do things and don't and they never follow up on anything. On top of this, they all have an "Attitude" of rudeness towards you. Dr Obeid and his PA are wonderful. The staff is completely unreliable. I did a home sleep test and waited over two weeks for the results. I called them and they misplaced it. Once they found it, they determined I needed to do it again. Followup appt made, and they said they would order my CPAP the next day. 2 1/2 weeks later I called to check, and they had not ordered it until today. Worst staff ever. I would love to let Dr Obeid know, but cannot get past the gatekeepers. Based on all of the other negative reviews, the poor man probably doesn't know about the issues in his staff, but my cardiologist and GP both said that they were familiar with the problems. UPDATE: I have been trying to get my records and sleep studies from them for over two months. My new doctors have faxed and called to no avail. I have called and left messages (they don't answer their phones) and they won't respond. I saw this doctor last year and he is very nice and seems like a good doctor. My issues are with his horrid phone system and staffing issues. I have been trying to reach his office this morning and the phone rings once and then disconnects. I called Advent Health main switchboard and the woman who answered acknowledged that the dr has consistently had issues with their “weird” phone system. When I have been able to get through in the past it is next to impossible to get a call back. When I did recently get through I was told the staff may not get to my request because they were down two employees. This is all very frustrating. Dr. Obeid staff has excellent bed side manners, Dr. Obeid takes the time to explain things my condition and medications.

I was totally impressed with everyone at this Doctor's office..especially his P.A. Who, by the way, is extremely attractive and very elligent and efficient. .Anyhoo.. Dr. Obeid was very thorough and I am glad I finally found a Doctor who will help me address my problems.

The office has always worked with me well and Dr. Obeid is one of the best doctors I have because he takes the time to explain things. That is not always the case. He works with me when I cannot afford a very expensive medication.

Unfortunately, Dr. Obeid gets bad rating over actions of his staff. HOWEVER, since he signed the termination of relationship letter, without knowledge of what actually occurred or talking to us to for other side of story, shame on him.

LOUSY!My 84 year old mother had an appt with this office in early January. This after 2 trips to hospital and being diagnosed by a few other Dr"s that she had terminal cancer. Dr Obied came to this appt without having read the results or reports from these other Dr's. We told him she had been diagnosed with lung cancer. His words were No you have not been diagnosed. Lets do a CT scan and prove them wrong. WELL she lit up like a Christmas tree. This man gave her false hope that she was going to be around for another 10 years to kick our butts. She was devastated AGAIN when the results came back. THIS MAN SHOULD NOT BE A DR! AND HIS OFFICE STAFF AND PHONE SERVICE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.!!!!! Run from this so called Dr. It is all a money grab and to hell with the patient! My mother left this world on 2/5/2020.

I am very impressed with Dr. Obeid. He’s very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. He spends time with you and listens to your problems. The PA, Jennifer is also great. I and my husband were very impressed with her knowledge and understanding. I wasn’t impressed with the staff at the beginning but since then, he has gotten rid of the ones that weren’t doing their job and the office seems to be functioning much smoothly now.

Dr. Obeid is a very nice doctor. He understands your concerns and will help in any way possible. The staff on the other hand should all be fired and rehire more competent staff. I have been calling his office to see about a cpap machine I got through once since Oct.15,2019. No one ever returns any of my calls. Still waiting for a return call. I can't even get the doctor of the line. My next call may be to the billing dept. Im sure I'll get to talk to someone there. I even left a message with his answering company she took message and Im sure she gave it to him.

Have been trying to get an appointment as a referral from a cardiologist - numerous phone calls with no return calls. Not sure how a patient makes an appointment if they don't answer the phone or return a call.

I wouldn't recommend Dr Obeid at all although he is a great doctor. He needs to get rid of his rude staff ASAP if he wants to gain the respect of his patients. The woman who answers the phone is very rude and nasty and the first phone call is what puts a patient at ease before meeting the doctor. Unfortunately, she makes you so angry with her terrible attitude which makes the entire visit very unpleasant. Otherwise, Dr Obeid is a very good doctor.

Really nice person but you never get a return call from staff. My wife has been waiting for a CPAC machine for four months. The supplier says the sleep test was done wrong. Since no one returns our call were stuck with finding a new doctor to redo the sleep test. Ridiculous!

My husband goes hear. He has the same problem very poor staff but likes the doctor. They misplaced his test work and they do not return calls. They also try and pass the blame to pharmacies, patients etc when it is their lack of responsibility and performance.

Sent my dad, Larry Waters home with pneumonia in his one lung. This was his follow up after having the other lung removed from stage 1 lung cancer. They never even checked his temperature. He was admitted hospital the next day and died from a lung infection that did not respond to antibiotics that he prescribed. Still don't know test results of my husband's overnight tests! They never called or scheduled him an appointment to get his results. They do not return calls!!! Very unprofessional office staff. Problems from the get go starting with my husbands first appointment day/time screw up right down to checking out of the office. Not to mention they say on the answering machine that they will call you back within 72 hours..NOT!!! Still don't know test results of my husband's overnight tests! The office NEVER called and when I called them, I was told the same thing, someone from the office would call for an appointment. I finally asked my PCP for a referral to another pulmonologist. I felt when I saw From Obeid while I was an inpatient at Florida Memorial Hospital that he really had a lot of drama with his diagnosis. After seeing me for just a few minutes, he was talking about major surgery in Gainesville or Jacksonville, FL. I spoke with a friend who had an office visit with him and she too was told she needed major surgery right away. She sought another opinion and was told she didn't not need surgery. I loved being under the care of Dr.Obeid. unfortunately, I do not feel that way about his billing clerk. My insurance company called them for me because of a billing issue. She was very angry because my insurance company was trying to contact her. I tried to calmly explain the billing issue in question. She just kept yelling and interrupted me. I told her Dr. Obeid would not like her yelling at me. She then hung up on me. I was in tears. I cancelled my appt and write Dr. Obeid a long letter. The doctor is decent but the office staff is TERRIBLE! They seem to not know how to add notes to your record or return calls. Every single time that I needed to make an appointment, it took multiple calls and waiting for them to call back only to result in me having to call them. I really liked Dr. Obeid, but the staff was very rude and the office very poorly run. I told them that I have double insurance and which one to submit to first, but they didn't listen. Now I'm likely to have a hit on my credit because of it. Not a happy camper.

Dr. Obed is a very good doctor from what we have experienced. His office stinks. They do not call back, they do not keep good records. We have asked that our phone number be changed many, many times and they continue to leave messages at the wrong number. We try to call them over and over and never are able to get in touch and leave messages over and over and they never call back. Impossible situation. The stress of dealing with such an office will put you in the grave. We are now getting in our car and will drive to his office to see if we can get any results. Great doctor, very poorly run office. Hours are M-Th 9 AM to 4 PM with lunch from 12 PM to 1 PM. Have called multiple times during office hours and their phone line is not turned on and instead I am forwarded to operator. I asked operator if it was typical for this to practice to not have phone lines open during the hours as posted, they said the office usually has meetings that run til 9:15 AM but not this late, which was at 11:32 AM. As a new patient that is newly diagnosed with asthma, I am NOT reacting well to my new treatment medicine. I have been unsuccessful multiple times in making contact with his medical assistant or himself. I am very very concerned about keeping my care with this practice. Dr. Obeid, Jen PA, and staff are all blessings to my grandmother. She loves this staff and has been a patient here since her admission to FHMMC for shortness of breath. They are professional and caring. Thank you for all what you do ❤️

My wife Janice Hugus is a patient of Dr. Obeid for over two years. She has advanced COPD and he has been helping her but spends very little time with her. Has attended her during her hospital stays but is very seldom available for office visits or cancels them with no help to reschedule. Her respiratory problems steadily worsen. She has become totally bedridden and can't sleep. This is a heavy burden for her physically and mentally. It is also a heavy mental burden for me her husband. to w
