Dr. Danny Adkins

I understand Dr Adkins had retired by the time I had visited the office. The new periodontist was highly unprofessional. After a very long wait and then a very difficult clumsy x-ray process, he spent roughly 5 minutes with me giving me some very unacceptable recommendations. It felt like a sales pitch not a medical professional. Not only will I not be returning but I mentioned to a family member who had previously seen Dr Atkins and after this experience he has also sought another periodontist. Although dentistry is often somewhat unpleasant. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I may mention. At the time of my visit I had an active infection. I was encouraged to engage in a procedure despite this. Having concerns about this and having a number of family members in the medical field I inquired as to whether this seemed a good practice, they suggested I seek another periodontist. I did just that. I believe this practice will take advantage of patients who were faithful to the prior Dr and it seems the two are not the same at all. I normally don't write reviews about my experiences but this is an exception. I went in to Dr. Adkins with a tooth ache that needed to be removed. This was my first visit and by the time I left I felt like I had been there many times before. The staff was very friendly, caring and welcoming. The procedure went much easier than I expected. Dr. Adkins explained the procedure and was he was very concerned in making sure I had no pain. His office gave me a card of his and told me if any problems arise please call the highlighted number. IT WAS HIS CELL NUMBER! Never before has this happened and not only that about 8 PM last night I get a call from Dr. Adkins himself just checking up on how I was getting along. Husband had gum graph procedure. Was extremely pleased with Dr. and staff.... professional and courteous. Dr. Adkins personally called him that evening to check on how he was doing which is rare these days. Nothing but highest marks for Dr. Adkins and Staff!

I have been going to Dr. Adkins office for many years. I had periodontal disease and severe gum damage when I first went to him many years ago. I find him very professional and competent. The surgery I had was very effective. I still have all of my original teeth at age 64 and now have healthy gums. I have not had a negative interaction with the administrative staff. I alternate between two dental hygienists and they both are very good. I feel like his staff and I have formed a good partnership to keep my mouth, gums and teeth healthy. They are constantly giving me good advice. I recommend his practice. I have been going to Dr. Adkins office for many years. It's very simple...just choose Dr. Adkins! Besides being a highly qualified periodontist, he & his staff treated me like a family member. I cannot give a higher recommendation.

Had dental implants and bone grafting before the implants. My experience with Dr. Atkins and his staff for both procedures was exceptional.

He did an excellent job fixing the surgical problem in my mouth! I am sensitive to pain. He was very kind to me an he did all he could to help keep me out of pain.

I totally agree with Rob. The office staff, especially Kim, is rude and hateful. Adkins is even worse. He is only out for the money. They are all so very unprofessional. I wish I hadn't been such an idiot as to listen to my dentist of 20 years that I trusted and who insisted that I go to him. Can we say scam? I had too many red flags that I should have listened to. Now I am still paying the price both financially and emotionally. I sure hope they enjoyed what they got out of me. They're both a disgrace to the dental profession. BEWARE! I totally agree with Rob. I agree with Rob and Peggy. His office staff when I was there did not smile and had a cold demeanor. That right there should have made me leave, but I was listening to my dentist who I thought knew what he was talking about. The dental assistant that was in the room with me was rude too! Adkins also is rude, he has a terrible bedside manner. He never SMILES and has a flat affect. I went in for surgery because I had receding gums and he had to complete surgery twice. My gums did not take to the first surgery and neither did the second. He still charged me the full amount. I have thought quite sometime on this "a couple of years it has been eating at me" and believe I should write this review in hopes that it will help someone make a educated choice in whether to go to Adkins. I wish I had not listened to my dentist when he referred me to Adkins. I am very disappointed in his work, staff, his attitude, and the fact I am out over $2,000.00 for crappy work!
