Dr Asase is disrespectful of his patients time. I had an 08:00 appointment. Waiting room packed. Was called to the check in desk at 08:40 only to find they had me scheduled for another day. Realized all of us had 08:00 appointments and were to wait submissively until Dr Asase appears. So I told the lady to cancel me and I would not be returning. I’m already miffed at the situation and low and behold, as I am leaving the building, there is Dr Asase standing on the sidewalk talking with another person. 08:00 appointment, Dr still not in the office at 08:50.

My husband, after 2 months in hospital and rehab had an appt with Dr. ASase on Jan 7th that was cancelled and since that time they have cancelled the next 4 appts the last being May 27th, then tried to reschedule for July 28th. Terrible staff. Not sure about the doctor other than the first time I met him at vbmc. Knowing I was in pain he grabbed my wound to "gauge my pain" after it was obvious I couldn't even walk. He performed my surgery and never spoke to me afterwards while I remained at vbmc for nearly 2 weeks. His staff said I missed my initial appointment which was a lie and scheduled me out a month later. His staff does not seem to care at all and they do not take responsibility for anything. Finally figured this out. He has a lot of patients but he’s listening to them intently which takes a little longer than most and requires more time. Doctor is a bit aggressive with how he speaks to you about care which could be better handled but I saw how he cares and took action after he listened. That being said his team needs to help him manage the schedule better. If you have a parent in a wheelchair or not feeling well and they need to wait 2 hours to see him then the reviews won’t go well. Also better attitude from staff. Grumpy and disrespectful won’t get your boss good reviews plus these are people’s parents or family your talking to. Finally figured this out. Doctors appointments take time, go prepared to wait plan accordingly and stop complaining. I take books headphones and a fully charged phone. If you think your time is more important than your health don’t go see physicians.

Worst dr ever....????

Wait was over THREE HOURS just to get called to go the back to an exam room to wait another FORTY-FIVE minutes for Dr. to come in. The office staff all had attitudes like they are the ones having to sit and wait. Will not be going back here nor would I recommend this office to anyone. Schedules about 30 people at the same time. Took 3 1/2 hr to see him. Staff said we can reschedule but it will take just as long cause he also does procedures in office. Staff made it seem like he’s the only urologist in the valley. If I need a procedure I would want it at a sterile facility not in a random room. He may in good in skills, more than likely because it is old. (Didn't plan for retirement like he was suppose to i guess) but awful in treating others with respect. He practices verbal harassment on a regular basis, yelling/screaming at staff, those who communicate with him over the phone about his patients. This man has lack of respect towards people in general. Very arrogant. Idk but if I were a patient, even if the doctor was lets say "good" I would still want to have a respectable person to be around me, especially if operating me. Plenty of doctors to choose from. If he treats people that way and puts a face on when entering a patients room, just imagine his thoughts in his head about these patients when he leaves that room. Terrible office! Dr.'s own nurse told us that if we didn't like waiting for hours that there are other doctors we can go to!! Been seeing him for 10 yrs and despite him being a good dr. The staff is awful and make you feel like you're nothing. No one should be treated that way!! Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this specialist to anyone, you're family deserves better! Terrible office! Amazing experience at Dr. Asase's office. Staff was friendly and made sure i got in quickly and the doctor is kind and handsome. :*

i am a kidney stone patient of dr. asase and i am pleased with his work, dont care if a dr. is arrogant or his race, religion, or sexual preferance, just so he he is highly skilled at his trade and does his best for every patient. we are lucky to have dr. asase here in the valley.

I would not take my dog here. The make you wait for hours. It wasnt just me, several other clients waited here for hours. They over book & take for ever. The staff does not care.

It is apparent that this doctor doesn’t care about these reviews. I am here with my elderly parents and have been waiting for over 2 hours. There are plenty of reviews identifying this problem for months. This is completely insensitive to the patients especially to the demographic of the patients I sat with in the waiting area.

His office books many persons at the same time and one is left to wait for hours. I had an appointment one day at 1:00 PM, sat in the office waiting until 2:30 PM when his CNA came out and told me to leave the office because they could not see me on this day. I called the office and asked who made the decision not to see me that day, and if it was the doctor. The answer was Brandy, his CNA made this decision. I have called several times to schedule an appointment and to no avail. One time I was told that they would call me and never got called. The next time I was put on hold for 5 minutes and no one came on the line. The I called Ms de la Fuente and never responded. J Mendoza.

We've been waiting for 3.5 hours and still haven't been seen. The front desk clerk didn't give my mother forms to complete until after 45 minutes of our arrival.

Long waits go there with a full stomach. I hope the doctor sees this because if you have people complaing there is something wrong with the way you make patients wait so long so look into it dr Asase because people do see reviews before they make up their mind on a good and understanding doctor.

Each time i go there for an appointment i make sure I am there plenty of time. They place me in an examining room and i’m left there for 2 - 3 hours. The guy is busy but he is amazing.

It’s really sad that such a good doctor has a staff particularly front desk receptionist who not only isn’t friendly but not professional either. Each time I’ve had and appointment I’ve wait 3 - 31/2 hours to see Dr Asase for 5 minuets. The Va doesn’t have a urologist and Triwest referee me to him. Who has 3-4 hours to wait past your appointment time?

I visited this Dr. in 2014 and in 2015 and had the greatest satisfaction expected from a Health Practioner. During my first visit the appointment time was well respected. Proper examination was done and detailed explanation given. In my subsequent appointments all was smooth and in a case where the Dr was a little bit delayed elsewhere explanation was always given. My over all impressions of this health facility are very very positive. Keep on with the good work.

It's disappointing to see that the customer service in Dr. Asase's office not match those of the doctor himself. Trying to schedule an appointment for pain and discomfort is impossible. I was given an appointment a month away. 3 calls later they suggested I go to the hospital even though the pain would have been tolerable for a few days and didn't merit a ER visit at the time. The nurse was no help at all either. Horrible customer service!

Dr Danilo Asase is one of the greatest if not the best Urologist in the Rio Grande Valley. He is one of the few Drs. that actually sits down to hear you out with your case.

TERRIBLE customer service....hard to get through on the phone, left on hold for extended periods of time, difficult to get copies of medical records.
