Dr. Thomas is knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant to work with, patient and compassionate. He listened well and wants to help. He shows great skill and competence hen he does the spinal injections. My only complaint is having to answer the same questions on the tablet check in every time I get there for an appointment.

Dr.Thomas is the most caring doctor that I have ever seen. He takes the time to get to know you and makes you feel like you matter unlike most doctors these days. He spends time with you and goes over options with you and lets you know what he feels is best for you. I honestly can say he treats you like family! I drive an hour every month and I don’t mind a bit because I know that I am going to see a doctor that cares about me and my well-being!

Great doctors and wonder caring staff

Great Doctor. Tries to make it as pain free as possible but forgot to call in my prescription.

Very efficient in learning about my pain problems. Very targeted questions and having learned about my lumbar problems.

This is a very well run practice. Everyone is very nice and polite and helpful. I love the doctor's assistants they are so thoughtful and caring. I see doctor Thomas. I really like him a lot. He is very thorough yet very caring and explains everything to you In a way you can really understand. He always reviews my progress and what the next step of the program is. I find this very comforting to know if this doesn't work what we can do next. I'm really thankful that he is my doctor.

Dr Thomas is a very knowledgeable doctor especially in the pain area. And if he is not completely familiar with a procedure or a condition he's right up front and explaining what he does know and he will verify that he is not an expert in that particular area. But when it does come to pain that's experienced by the normal person he is very familiar and is on top of his game. He spends time reading, going to clinics or what it may be to learn various things about pain management and I believe after having gone to four different pain doctors over the years, he is the best one I've ever been to.

Dr Thomas is a kind and thoughtful doctor with good skills... His nurse was helpful too. The practice is run well. Everyone is kind and helpful to the patience

Dr. Thomas is the kind of doctor that all doctors and health care providers can look up to. He is always concerned about your health and how he can make it better. He explains what he will be doing to help you. At times, he sends you to other health care providers for other problems that are not related to his expertise. He is the type of doctor, that if still doing so, would have come out to your home to see how you are, just as they did in the old days , before me of course. Trust in him because he trusts in you!

Dr. Thomas is personable, caring and has caring staff support. He has given me SI injections as well as butt bone injections. It’s made a world of difference in my back pain. Highly recommend this route for folks with constant back pain who don’t want to go surgery route.

Dr. Thomas reviewed our plans to have the watchman device installed and then to have the SCS procedure. We discussed the specifics of what information need to be shared to expedite these procedures. The staff is always nice, both me and my mom use Dr Thomas, he is always nice and pleasant to be around and he works hard to figure out what’s going on with the patients so he knows how to treat it.

The medical staff at Athens Spine Center are wonderful. When you are in pain, you need compassion and you get it here. Dr. Thomas made my epidural procedure as painfree as possible and talked to me the whole time. How is that for patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time. He is really nice, as is his nurse Andrea.

Dr Thomas explained my mri results in great detail and also showed me where the problems were on the model of the spine. He offered treatment options and more importantly, offered hope that I will feel better soon.

From first contact by phone with the Athens Spine Center right through my exam and consult with Dr. Daniel Thomas every encounter was professional, well informed, efficient, compassionate, insightful, and helpful. The support staff were personable, considerate, completely competent, and thorough. The nurse that interviewed me and took my medical history was bright, extremely intuitive, clearly focused on the patient, and efficient without giving any sense of being hurried. Dr. Thomas himself entered the exam room fully up to speed on my particular medical condition. He asked thoughtful questions and offered clear, easy to understand diagnosis and treatment plans. My check-out was easy and smooth. When I stopped at the pharmacy for my prescription it was waiting for me. The facility for ASC was comfortably large and well appointed without being ostentatious. There was plenty of space in the waiting area to provide a sense of safe distancing between patients in this age of pandemic concern. Parking was ample and close to the entrance. Check-in procedures were easy and simple using technology that even this 70+ year old had no difficulty using. Oh, did I mention the waiting room? Well this one might better be called the launching room. Upon completion of my check-in data input I was called to the exam room within 3 minutes. There was no wait period in the exam room at all.
