I "fired" them due to what I believe are deceptive practices and excessive costs. Very difficult to work with on scheduling, they don't use the online system they have and make you call in. The consult, sleep study, and assessment visits can be obtained by other providers for less than 10% of what this place charges, and that cost could be deducted from the purchase of a machine. They charged my insurance over 3 times what I found the same new-in-box machine available online from a reputable provider, and didn't tell me (or issue any written agreements) that I would have to pay my insurance company (with whom they have a written contract) for the rest of my life on bi-annual "maintenance agreements" in addition to this contract only allowing monthly rental of the machine that I would never own. TLDR: Do research before blindly accepting what they tell you to do, or better, go elsewhere. Check online services that do the same thing (both physician consultations & equip) for far less.

Saw Dr. Root to rule out narcolepsy, he insisted on me getting completely off my antidepressants prior to doing a sleep study. This was a very unsafe and according to my new sleep doctor, unnecessary suggestion. After spending way too much time and money trying to work with Dr. Root he suggested I try out a CPAP at the low cost of approximately $2000, despite any evidence that this may help me.

Great care experience. Very patient centric, Dr Root takes the time necessary for every patient. Jason & support staff friendly, helpful & more importantly deliver results. I am glad I made the switch to Oregon Sleep Associates.

I am a physician, but I am writing this review from the perspective of a patient. Treatment for sleep disorders, especially sleep apneas has become very common, very profitable, and done very poorly. Dr. Root is the ONLY doctor I saw during a tedious and expensive process. In my opinion, ANYONE diagnosed with any type of sleep disorder should see Dr. Root. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and kind.
