Dr. Daniel Rivlin

I had a needed dermatology surgery from Dr. Rivlin. Both the doctor and his staff are very professional, efficient and answered all my questions (and I've always asked many questions in my life). The nurse and staff (Adrian, Alinna, Kareema) provided the detailed information I requested, and put my nerves at ease. IMHO, this is a 5-star medical group. Doug

the first time I went to his office it was fine and all the staff there were nice.*(that was last year) then they gave me an appointment for this year. I had an appointment with him this year on January, unfortunately I had to cancel it because I had CoVid and they reschedule it for May 2022. Yesterday the sec. called me to tell me that I have bad news for you. since next month, we will not accept your insurance. I say can you put me for this month so I do not loose my appointment and she told me that there was no place. I think is very unfair because I being waiting for a year since my last check up. I understand the Dr is free to accept the insurance or not, but what I think is Unethical is to leave a patient waiting for so long and finally he washes his hand saying that if I want to come is fine , but I have to pay for my check up. he seems for what just happen that he is not have any empathy for his patients. My primary Dr. Highly recommend me him but I feel frustrated and badly treated . I know they always leave an appointment hour free for any thing that could happen. Dr has to pe more patient friendly and understand their patients need and specially in this casa because it was not my fault and he has everything in his hand to make it right. hope he finds an appointment for me , before next month so I could go with him to do my annual check up. I consider him to be an excellent dermatologist and I have not doubt. but he is not being a understanding doctor with his patients cases.

I felt like I was at a shopping center. Quick in and quick out making sure to stop at the checkout. This provider performed a wrong site procedure leaving me scarred and was going to leave without even addressing the real reason I was there for. When he did do the correct procedure it was done under less then aseptic techniques as they covered my hair under the bandage leading to site becoming infected. In addition, the wound became dehisced. HIs comment...guess you need to go to a plastic surgeon to get that fixed. Little compassion. Recommend you run away!

Very prompt, detail oriented and a wonderful support staff. I felt like a VIP patient. Everything was well explained w a smile and patience.

I have to say Dr. Daniel Rivlin's dermatology office is top notch. From the initial phone contact with their receptionist and scheduling person, so efficient, friendly and helpful. I got an appointment quickly, my insurance was approved immediately, my first and follow appointments were punctual never waiting in waiting room for more than a few minutes. The nurse, Ashley is super friendly and tells you ever step of the way what is happening. Dr. Rivlin is professional and experienced at his craft. His resident, Jennifer was great too, even calling me at home the evening after surgery and allowing me to reach out anytime to her cel. Each time Jen answered within minutes reassuring me that my concerns were normal reactions to my surgery. Plus, the office was set up well for social distancing in both the waiting room and patient treatment rooms, all with a bonus of the Biscayne Bay view. A+++ for this medical office and team! Dr. Rivlin treated my brother and diagnosed him with Squamous cell. Unfortunately, his diagnosis was wrong. After my brother ended up in the hospital with Metastatic Melanoma in his brain, Dr. Rivlin went back and checked his original pathology and said...that he misdiagnosed the squamous cell due to a TRANSCRIPTION ERROR!!!!! Unfortunately, my brother is now days from death. His laziness cost a life. He should be ashamed of himself.

You will wait forever to see the doctor. Wouldn’t be so bad if the staff were a little more courteous. Once you get in don’t expect kindness from the doctor. With that said, the doctor is very thorough and that is why I go here. The only reason.

I've been a patient of Dr. Rivlin for over 5 years. While he and his team seem very competent, the patient experience is consistently unpleasant. Today I went in for my annual checkup and he walked in with 2 students who proceeded to examine me (I was practically naked) without ever stopping to think if I was comfortable or asking for my permission to turn my checkup into a class. I felt like a piece of meat and thought it was disrespectful and inconsiderate. I will take my business elsewhere for sure.

What a horrible experience and unprofessional doctor (Dr. Rivlin). My husband saw him and needless to say we will not set foot in this office again. I am surprised that he is able to stay in business. Beware!

I Was told by my insurance company Everything would be covered for my visit, but I’d be responsible for a $60.00 Co-pay. I specifically asked about burning or freezing off the small area in question. I was told Yes that was included, everything except injections. I was made aware by my PCP two days prior the rough spot was just age related not to worry, so my intent was to just get it removed. Doctor Rivlin strolls in, looks through his microscopic glasses and rattled off, that’s (some medical terminology) it’s nothing and starts to leave the room. I asked if he would remove it & he quipped, for $110.00 dollars. When I did not agree he walked out of the office. He was in the room for less 2 minutes to tell me something I was already made aware by my primary care physician. He blamed my insurance company for the misunderstanding. Florida Blue said they were correct he was in the wrong and opened a complaint. Just wanting to give everyone a heads up to the seemingly Bait & Switch practices. I have nothing but praises for the doctor and assisting staff! I was recently treated for very rare form of skin cancer at Dr. Rivlin's office in Miami Beach and the care was second to none. I'm incredibly grateful to Dr. Rivlin and everyone who played a role in my treatment. I'm cancer free!

Dr. Rivlin is one of the shining stars in my retinue of doctors and, together with his extraordinary staff, always provides a memorable and caring experience. Having been a sun worshipper for much of my life, I never had the problems that so many of like mind have experienced until pre-cancerous and cancerous spots began to appear with a vengeance. Dr. Rivlin, together with his wonderful team of nurses, have provided nothing less than stellar experiences in every one of my frequent office visits. Having attended a dermatologist for some six decades, I can honestly, and with great confidence, proclaim that Dr. Rivlin and his staff are the creme de la creme in their chosen field, inspire great confidence and are a pleasure to work with. Don't even bother! Waited several weeks for an appointment and was told 2 days before that the Dr was going away and the next time they can see me is in another month. Office staff is rude. Stay away!

Be careful here! Every year its another removal of some innocent dot on the skin "to send to the lab," billable to the insurance company. The needless excision is one thing - but one is left with a noticeable skin blemish for life! Before allowing him to burn out some dot on the skin, for dubious reasons, ask if a permanent scar will remain. And YOU DECIDE if its worth it - which it probably is not! Be careful here! Dr. R. monitors me for melanoma and squamous cell carcinomas with extreme vigilance. My body checks every 3 months along with his incisive eye give me the confidence I need.

visited Dr Rivlin for Mohs carcinoma removal 3 months ago and 2 visits after the surgery, still have a huge scar on my face. On my last visit told me to wait another month and if nothing changed then he would have to remove skin from my ear to try to patch the hole. I have had several carcinomas removed before and simple stitches have worked just fine with no scar at all. His office also charged me for the follow up visit after the surgery. Not satisfied at all.

Dr. Rivlin assured me he could remove a birthmark on my face that was not cancerous. It started in February 2015 and his associate performed laser techniques to remove. This did not work. Then Dr. Rivlin cut the area around the birthmark to remove in May. This not only did not work but he only cut half the affected area. Returning for a third attempt a formal surgery was performed early October 2015. This surgery left me with a white mark the size of my birthmark, scars on my forehead. Mortified
