The best!!! Actually listens and helps. Amazing doc.

If I could give Dr. McGuire more than 5 stars I would. He has been attentive and compassionate throughout my healing process. After a non-related medical crisis forced me into the hospital for a week, he made special visits just to visit me and ensure I was receiving the best care possible and ensured that I developed no complications post-op. I honestly cannot recommend anyone more qualified or compassionate than Dr. McGuire. Not even just Dr. McGuire, but the entire staff at Downeast Orthopedics has been nothing short of amazing. Every concern or question I’ve had has been met with compassion and sincerity. Cannot recommend that practice enough.

Scheduled visits were right on time.

My first visit and I was very impressed. I liked Dr. Mcguire right away. He listened to me and was very personable and professional. Made me feel very comfortable.

The staff are always very pleasant to deal with and very accommodating. They went above and beyond to fit me in for a follow-up on the same day of my original appointment when I called to reschedule due to a school function for my children.

Dr . McGuire is hands down the best surgeon I’ve worked with! My shoulder was completely Grenaded in several pieces he reconstructed it completely and even though I knew I t was Inevitable it needs replacement! He still was able to bring it back enough for me to have use and take away most of the pain until I get it replaced he is a great and caring Dr !! Your not just a number or paycheck to him ;you are treated like family??????

Dr. Mcguire has operated on my knee three times extremely successfully. I go out and injure myself he always puts me back together. He cares deeply for his patients and remembered me even after years between surgeries. Dr. Mcguire is certainly one of the top surgeons in Maine.

Dr. McGuire and his staff are outstanding. He got my daughter in for her appointment only a few days after her referral and scheduled her surgery asap. We were both impressed by not only his attentive care, but also the excellence of his staff. We highly recommend his office for sports injuries.

Absolutely the best

The doc is awesome this will be the third time he has operated on me for different problems he knows how to fix you up and a great bedside manner and don't forget Tina she is a great person and very polite

Dr. McGuire was my doctor when I broke my leg and he was great! He is excellent in the way he explains things so that you can understand all the processes that will take place. He the best!!! Thanks Rick

Compassionate, caring and listens to your problem then offers his best assessment. Wonderful surgeon who has helped me through some very difficult times.

Dr. McGuire exemplifies the qualities you want in a doctor from bed side manner to expertise and qualifications as an orthopedic doctor. He has an extensive backround in orthopedics with any age and working with athletes!

Dr. McGuire is one of the most patient, kindest people I’ve ever met. He takes the time to explain things. He also explained things in a way that my 11 yr old could understand.

I felt very rushed through my appointment and didn't feel as though I was being taken seriously.

Appointment was on time. Dr. McGuire showed keen interest in my surgery progress and answered all questions clearly and concise.

Dr. McGuire is an outstanding surgeon. He spends time clearly explaining everything and makes sure we are comfortable with all the procedures and steps. His team at DownEast Orthopedics are exceptional, too. They're knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and supportive.

We go here for my 16 year old daughter who is active in many sports. He is always pleasant and looking for the best decisions for her. He talks with us and always takes into consideration what we have to say .

Dr. McGuire is a wonderful doctor. I appreciate his straightforward down to earth approach, and practical recommendations for successful rehab following my rotator cuff surgery. Today was my 6 week followup appointment, and I will see Dr. McGuire in a month for continuing progress in recovery. I had awesome results from my surgery on the other shoulder six years ago, and expect the same this time. He is the best in his field, in my opinion.

Dr McGuire was super patient and kind and always positive. He did not rush or pressure the decisions I had to make regarding my injury and personalized my healing and recovery. I am now pain free for the first time in years and can use my body the way I’m supposed to.

I'm giving four stars for the fact that his nurse was really rough on my leg but him personally he's excellent he's gentle he's kind his nurse on the other hand I said ow and be easy and she's just jamming the scissors under my cast

Dr. McGuire has been taking care of my orthopedic needs for very many years. He is also my daughter's orthopedic doctor. He genuinely cares about our well-being and goes above and beyond to accommodate our needs.

Doctor McGuire has been a true professional and we couldn't have asked for a better experience at his office today. No, we didn't like what he had to say about my son's injury as we were hoping for a different outcome, but the way he explained everything and treated our son made us feel we are in very good hands. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a knowledgable doctor with a lot of compassion.

Dr. McGuire did my knee surgery 6 weeks ago and this was a follow up visit. I cannot recommend him enough!! He’s a wonderful surgeon and all around nice man. He makes you feel comfortable within seconds of meeting him. Hopefully I’ll never need his services again, but if I do, I won’t go to anyone else. The staff is also very friendly and efficient. Great people!

Very happy with my visit. Was in and out in 45 min. Showed me what was wrong with my knee and explained what treatment would be best. Would give a big 5 star. So glad I was referred to you office.
