Dr. Daniel M Mann

My husband was seen by this provider and was treated very poorly by him the second he walked in the room. He made a joke out of it, tried to diminish the pain he was feeling, asked my husband to google his symptoms, got visibly upset when a question he asked wasn’t answered the way he’d like..honestly was very odd behavior from a doctor. He almost acted like he was interrogating my husband. Any time I tried to speak he would just get louder talking. He told my husband that he changed the location of his pain which simply wasn’t true. He came off very arrogant and was not interested in explaining anything. He prescribed medication without even telling us nor explaining why he prescribed it. Not a good experience and would avoid this provider. I wanted to ask him if he’s ever googled “good bedside manner” after my husband was told to google his pain.

Turn around and walk out of Charlevoix ER, if you are a woman and Dr. Mann is the attending physician! Scared and nervous, I recently went to the ER experiencing chest pain and pain radiating down my left arm. I am a 45 year old woman that has been hospitalized with a heart condition in the past. Dr. Mann was the attending physician that morning. He was dismissive, didn't take me seriously and spoke to me, throughout the exam, in a belittling fashion. Arrogant, condescending and doesn't listen. Also gave false information to other health care providers causing even more stress and problems on top of what we were already going through dealing with the injury that brought us to charlevoix hospital.

I recently visited the ER. Dr. Mann walked in and began scolding me like a little child. He barked orders, tried testing my knowledge of MY body, and made me feel like I’d wasted everyone’s time by being there. Dr. Mann left the room with my jaw agape and completely confused with my discharge papers. Luckily, the rest of the staff took the time and care necessary to provide comfort and focus on my results. This made up for Dr. Mann’s complete lack of care and compassion, but I’m sick to know this is the care people of Northern Michigan will receive with this doctor. *I was born in this hospital, my family are major donors, and this is my hospital of choice. This is a very difficult review to write, but I don’t want this to happen to anyone else*

This Dr. Mann is totally inconsiderate and rude we've been there two times in the last week and get the same result with this guy... Very poor review for this guy...

I've had Dr. Mann as my primary physician for 8 years. He always takes time to make sure any questions I have are answered. He has a very easy going, relaxed style. I have found him to be very caring and interested in me as a patient. I've recommended Dr. Mann to two others, both of which are also very happy.

Dr. Mann can be abrupt and rather rude. His bedside manner can be cruel. When he knows what the problem is, he can be helpful.
