Daniel Merritt Makieve

He was the best doctor i ever had.. he was always quict to respond to my emails and phone calls.. he would give me refills over the phone.. i felt he genuwinely cared .. wish i still had kaiser insurance..

He is Great I only wish he still had his own practice, I have still yet to find a good Doctor like he was ....

I had my first in-person visit with Dr. Makieve after joining Kaiser and moving to Sacramento. I could not have been more pleased. He had reviewed the medical records from my prior insurance and was well prepared for our visit. I am grateful to have him as my primary care provider.

Save yourself the trouble! Worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. I don’t understand why he’s in this profession. On the fortunate side he is no longer in private practice… Undoubtedly because of his treatment of patients. More unfortunately, he has found his way to Kaiser

He is awful! I recently moved from out of state. I had all my records sent to Dr Makieve. After waiting for over an hour after my appointment time, I went in to a hurried appointment where he didn't listen to me. I told him to check the records sent to him (that he had gotten weeks ago) and was told he didn't have time to go over them. I would NEVER recommend this doctor.

Dr Makieve has been my primary care MD for 8 years. He has handled all my outpatient primary care and medications. During that time I have been diagnosed and treated for leukemia, required operation for colon abscess, hospitalized with sepsis twice and in general have had a lot of problems. Dr Makieve has stayed on top of them all. He is thoughtful, attentive, and caring.

Capable, friendly and convenient office. No trouble getting appointments that fit my schedule and needs. Highly recommend.

I feel that he has been one of the best doctors we have had. Right on target with diagnoses. He's very cautious when giving meds, takes the time to explain everything, and genuinely cares about us. Lincoln is fortunate to have this primary car physician.

Dr. Makieve is a horrible doctor. I was suffering from debilitating depression. I begged him for help and stated I no longer wanted to live but didn't want to die. He abruptly stood up, stated he had other patients and marched out. At an appointment I brought lab results from a referred physician. He refused to look at them. When I calmly asked why, he slammed my chart down, marched out and loudly yelled at me that he was done. He is condescending, rude, and doesn't care. Please don't go to him!

Dr. Makieve is attentive, concerned, professional and knowledgeable,

Dr. MaKieve is impatient, rude and condescending. If you say something he doesn't want to hear, he raises his voice in the attempt to intimidate you, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK! His goal is to get you in and out in under five minutes. The walls between the exam rooms are not insulated, so you can hear MaKieve's conversation with his other patients. He has had the most staff turn I've ever seen in a doctors office. Makes one wonder why? I have met other patients who are looking for another doctor too.
