About Dr. Daniel Lazar
Reviews for Dr. Daniel Lazar
I have been with Dr. Lazar for about 15 years. He cares, he listens and he gives you straight information about what you need to do to get your health in order. Scheduling is tricky at times, but he is always available via the Live-well app. VERY responsive. If he needs to see you, he and his staff will make time to get you in. The best!

Dr. Lazar listens and is interested in my situation. He is quick to respond to requests and changes in meds. He has been my doctor for many years and I enjoy my visits.
I would not recommend Dr. Lazar at all. He missed reading a vital report, leading to undiagnosed cancer.
Dr. Lazar took my concerns seriously when others has brushed my symptoms off. Turns out I had a brain tumor. He was involved as much as he could be during my surgeries and recovery. I have moved to Nashville TN, and my one regret is that I had to leave Dr. Lazar. There is no better primary care doctor.
I am so happy to find a new physician [my previous retired] who is so thorough, professional and personal. Unlike many physicians needing to complete Electronic Medical Records and spending the clinical visit facing the computer screen, typing in responses and slinging questions over their shoulder, Dr. Lazar looks you in the eye and has a genuine conversation about your health and treatments. He also replied promptly to questions I asked through the Advocate email portal. I am so happy to find a new physician [my previous retired] who is so thorough, professional and personal. Dr. Lazar has been my doctor for over 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and keeps up with all new medical info that comes out. He listens and answers all my questions. When I contact him through the portal he replies very promotly. Dr. Lazar is a kind man who truly cares about his patients.
Patient, caring, very timely with all responses; excellent in every way. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for my care.
DR. is fine but the support staff nurses receptionist are the worst. Cant do the simple things like appointments, referrals. And when you catch in a lie the act like its the insurance. Its not, its people putting in the paperwork that don't know what are they doing.
If I could rate Dr. Lazar with zero stars, I would. I have been calling for three days to get a much needed prescription filled which would have been for a two or three day refill. this doctor refused and proceeded to hang up on me (a patient of Lutheran General). As a result, I will be filing an official complaint with the administrator of the hospital. If I could rate Dr. Lazar with zero stars, I would. I have been a patient of Dr. Lazar's for probably 3 years at this point. He is always attentive, responsive and very helpful. I am happy to be his patient within the Advocate Network. 5/5
I scheduled an appointment for my husband as a new patient. I scheduled it September 1st. The appointment was for October. They called and cancelled him the day before the appointment at 4:30pm. My husband had already put in for a half a day off in order to meet with Dr. Lazar. This allowed no time for my husband to reschedule the half day off. He HAD to take it even though there was now NO appointment. That stinks! I then called to reschedule the next day. They told me they WOULD NOT try to fit him in in any reasonable amount of time to reschedule this appointment. There was no desire to try to right what had been wronged. They claimed the 1st available appointment was December 26th. What a joke. I called September 1st........had to wait until December 26th.How many of you have had to wait almost 115 days to see a new Dr.? I was very disappointed, and extremely unimpressed with this medical team !!! Healthcare is very important to us......there are multiple scenarios in which time is of the essence, I hope this does not apply here. I will leave an update after we meet with this Dr. I want to see if he is worth a 4 month wait. I scheduled an appointment for my husband as a new patient. I scheduled it September 1st. I would give him zero stars. He ignored my dad's cancer symptoms. He was losing weight every day and Dr. Lazar says it is good and i am not concerned. I am not a doctor, but I have more common sense than that. Never go to or trust these incomptent doctors, it is a matter of life and death. Big shame on them... i never stepped foot in that filthy Advocate clinic again. The entire system is all a business- they don't genuinely care about anyone unless it is one of their own. Unprofessional, rude, not too much knowledge takes 5 min with him in the office, most of the time he is just typing reports , doesn’t listen the patient, you can hardly see him. His unqualified assistant is running the show. She will tell you what unnecessary test you need. Lazar misdiagnosed several of his patients , that’s the reason people go somewhere else. Better care , professional people, patient is not a $ sign. If you call him , page him , answers 3 days later , actually not him , the assistant. What is she a MD? Don’t get, it how he can be in the healthcare , his license should have been suspended long time ago & assistant let go. I am moving away and I hope to find a doctor like Dr. Dan, who is as caring and wonderful! The man is a saint! Frank Luongo
I am so happy to be a patient of Dr. Lazar! I feel my health is in great hands!
Dr. Lazar has been my physician for many years and I highly recommend him. He takes the time to really listen to his patients, and I feel he's highly competent. He's also very responsive answering my e-mails, which is much appreciated. I should mention that the entire staff at the Mortan Grove clinic is very professional and friendly. I've been a patient for a few years. I have a thyroid issue. Part of having that problem for over 25 years is that I know my body and I know when to listen to it. Blood tests are only part of it. Each time I reach out for help, my blood work is within his normal but doesn't listen to my symptoms. He tells me to loose weight. I ask him for advice, he tells me to stop eating carbs. Isn't he have a specialty in weight loss? THS isn't the only test to do.

I was referred to this Doctor by my primary family Doctor. After 2 years of worsening back pain, I went for an MRI and Dr. Lazar. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took time with me. He did not recommend surgery right away and gave me all the options available to me. I was relieved and certain with my decision to undergo an epidural steroid injection first for the pain. I will be followed by him in the future and would highly recommend him to others.

Had surgical disk surgery 12/2016. Prior to surgery experienced severe neck and shoulder pain, numbness in thumb and index finger. Dr. Lazar gave thorough description of surgical procedure. Answered all of my questions. His office staff are very helpful. I am now pain free. Outstanding experience!
