An amazingly gifted surgeon with wit & wisdom to match!!! What a "Can't Miss"combination!

Dr. Ivankovich is a fantastic doctor with top of the line orthopaedic surgical skills! He really listens to his patients and treats the whole person, not just the orthopaedic problem. This is evident through his rapport with patients and his great results.

I was involved in a collision that result in 13 fractures, a severed artery and two blood transfusions to save my life. If it weren’t for Dr. Ivankovich and his team, I would most likely be sitting here without my right leg. This man has single-handedly been the reason my healing process has gone more smooth than I came to expect from the other physician who initially was responsible for my care. Coupled with that, the fact there’s such an emphasis on the mental health shows that he, Dr Karla, and every one who works in that building care about your individual outcome. I thank God for allowing me to come into contact with him and Dr Karla. A true champion of the patient, Dr Ivankovich’s experience, knowledge, and genius make me feel safe and comfortable during what is arguably the most traumatic experience of my life.

Rather than posting a review about Dr. Dan’s peerless skill as a surgeon, this is testimony to his character as a human being. I met Dr. Dan over two decades ago while he was still in residency. And throughout the years, I’ve watched him evolve as a surgeon, husband, father, and friend. He doesn’t fit the traditional notion of what a physician should be, but maybe that’s why he’s such a breath of fresh air. Standing 7’ 2”, often wielding a guitar with his blues band, and driven by tenacious purpose, he is a man of deep conviction. The medical industrial complex is so often motivated by profit, yet Dr. Dan’s mission has always been inspired by affecting a genuine change; both in the system and in the authentic care he provides daily. Providing care means just that – you have to actually care. Perhaps that’s why if you look at the countless patients he’s treated throughout the years, they are often the underserved and neglected – the marginalized of society that are discarded like plastic bottles. He actually “see’s” people as people and not just billables. He approaches each patient with deep care and restores dignity for so many that have so little. There are many orthopedic surgeons throughout the country that have fantastic skills, experience, and knowledge, but I dare say that not many will have the fortitude of character like Dr. Dan. Nobody is perfect and Dr. Dan isn’t either, but in so many moments I’ve seen him profoundly embrace humility and that is such a rare thing in a field that prides itself on exercising dominance over one another. So yes, Dr. Dan is a gifted surgeon beyond reproach, but more importantly, rather than being defined by his chosen career, he is a man defined by character. And perhaps it’s that very ‘character’ that guides his craft as a masterful surgeon and a kindhearted human being. As the adage goes – “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” We need more people like Dr. Dan in this world!

Dr. Daniel Ivankovich takes the time to individually see his patients and provide the best possible outcome he can. He provides access to medical care to as many patients as he can. If I could give him ten stars, I would!

My mother received hip surgery from Dr. Ivankovich at Community First hospital. Our first follow up appointment, we were made to sit there for 4 hours because they kept forgetting we were in the room. When Dr. Ivankovich came in he was not wearing a mask. It took a month of calls, emails, and complaining before his team was able to fax something to a physical therapy provider. They single handedly slowed down her recovery. After that was settled, I called to reschedule our second follow up appointment only to learn it was never made. Thankfully I did not take off work and show up because who knows if we would have been seen. Did not reschedule as we have no need for such a careless team that clearly lacks leadership. Such a wonderful caring, person. Down to earth. Fantastic bedside manner. No B.S. My knees feel like they have another 10,000 miles in them. Awesome Doc! 10 out of 5 stars!

Dr. Ivankovich is extremely professional and compassionate. Prior to my visit with Dr. Dan, I was told by another surgeon that nothing could be done about my wrist injury. Needless to say, that as a musician, I was frightened. Dr. Dan came into the room and made me feel at ease with a cool story about one of his musical experiences. We then reviewed my x-rays/CT and he explained the injury and treatment options. I had surgery 2 days later to fix my wrist and haven't looked back since. Thank You

From scheduler and front desk to the x-ray technician, Dr. Dan and his staff are all friendly and professional.

I've had an incredible experience being treated by Dr. Ivankovich. He is one of the most experienced and relatable surgeons that I have ever met. My back pain is 80% relieved just 3 months after surgery, and I'm able to do many activities that I simply couldn't prior to treatment. The staff is also incredibly helpful and supportive.
