Wonderful doc and great staff.

Dr. Hoernschemeyer, Nicole, and the whole team were fantastic. They were very empathetic to our situation, took the time to answer every question, and helped all of us, including my daughter, feel at ease before, during, and after surgery. Highly Recommended

Dr. Dan is incredible. He is very caring when it comes to his patients and their family. If you have any issues or concerns he will do everything to make it right. He has personally overseen a few things because of my concerns. He is only 1 of 2 doctors that I have had that would personally talk to you on the phone. My son has been seeing him for little over 2 years now. I would definitely recommend him for your child orthopedic needs! Dr. Dan is incredible. I wish I could put zero stars as a rating, as this doctor is not even worthy of 1 star. He is the absolute worst doctor I have ever experienced. He put my 3 month old under general anesthesia and used fiberglass casts on him to treat his bilateral clubfoot. This is what he wanted to do for ALL of his castings - general anesthesia every week for at least 6 weeks on a three month old. We left the hospital with a lethargic infant because he wouldn't settle down when coming out of anesthesia so they shot a sedative into his IV and sent us home. We never returned - what's interesting is that we left with 2 casts on an infant and the office never even called to check and see what was going on and why we didn't come back to get cast changed or removed. There is no reason (besides billing insurance more $) to put an infant through the dangerous practice of that much general anesthesia. Dr. Hoernschemeyer was easy to talk to and knowledgeable. He was great with my 8 year old son and even checked up on him a few days after our appointment. We highly recommend Dr. Hoernschemeyer and MU Pediatric Orthopaedics.

We absolutely adore Dr. Hoernschmeyer! My daughter just had vbt surgery with him last week... He was able to correct her scoliosis from a 66 to a 19 and more correction expected with growth. He visited with her daily while she was in the hospital and was extremely kind and loving. We could not have asked for a better doctor for our child. Looking forward to sending him lots of pictures if her doing her favorite thing- gymnastics, thanks to him! We absolutely adore Dr. Hoernschmeyer!
