Dr Fain is the current neurologist for two of my children and we could not be more pleased. Upon recommendation, we switched to DeVos Hospital and Dr Fain and my wife and I are extremely glad we dad. Dr Fain is very kind, patient, attentive to concerns and or questions asked. I would recommend Dr Fain without hesitation to anyone.
I am now over 2 years seizure free but he was my doctor and I highly recommend him he is such a good doctor!!

We had a terrible experience with Dr. Fain. My daughter was diagnosed with a debilitating form of epilepsy by Dr. Fain in the hospital. He only uses PAs for follow-up care. Despite our report of symptoms, the return of my daughter's epilepsy was not caught for months. Even when it was discovered, he had a nurse call us to give us treatment options. We were to choose the treatment we wanted, without input. Thankfully we changed doctors that day and my daughter began successful treatment with a medication that had not even been offered by Dr. Fain. We feel that under Dr. Fain's care, our daughter lost months of development in the crucial infant period. We had a terrible experience with Dr. Fain. We switched to Dr Fain when our neurologist in Lansing didn’t want to look at other options for our daughter beyond the medication that made her try to bite her tongue off. We see him and his PA and they are both great.

Dr. Fain uses a PA for office visits. The PA failed to recognize that my daughter was having subtle, destructive seizure activity. When the condition was finally discovered Dr. Fain relayed a list of treatment options to us via a nurse phone call. When we left his care we had not seen Dr. Fain (or any other doctor) for about eight months. To say that he is "hands off" is an understatement. It's like not having a doctor at all. My baby lost many months of development due to his lack of care.
