Efficient and I would highly recommend!

Doctor Donovan has actually done great things for me he got me to quit smoking he got me back on track he kept me from dying at the age 50 something Was some surgery that took all of A-day and stay in the hospital but I'm still here now at 67 so literally yea 5 stars 20 stars literally

I love Dr. Donovan and his staff. They are always friendly, professional and willing to go that extra mile. If you are looking for a great cardiovascular doctor he is a fantastic choice!

Dr Donovan has been my cardiologist for the last 20 plus years. Absolutely love him and his PA Lisa Castro. The entire office staff is great.

Dr Donovan is a wonderful and compassionate person. He examines and explains in detail to you of your condition. He reviews with you any tests that have been performed. He is personable, giving a feeling of comfort, not stress. Also treated very well by his staff. I would and have recommended Dr Donovan to family and friends.

Well this is a different type of review. I picked up one of your recent patients who was 87 years young. Who needed a helping hand while his truck was being fixed at Sam's. Visits are usually good. However whenever I request a refill on my cardiac meds, it takes several calls to get the refill sent to my pharmacy. I am now out of my medication and after numerous calls and being assured that the refill was sent, my pharmacy has still not received it. The staff has refused to help anymore.

Dr Donovan is awesome however, the phone system they have and staff that answers the calls, suck! Heart patients don’t need the frustration and aggravation of being on hold for a long time. More respect of our time and help would be appreciated.

Dr Donovan is the best doctor!!! I have been seeing him for many years and he truly cares for his patients!! He is the best!!!!

Dr Donovan is the kindest and most caring of doctors. I also feel very well looked after by his office and his PA.

I have been seeing Dr. Donovan for over 15 years. He has treated me for an aortic valve problem, and now, heart failure. While he is a cardiologist, he is more holistic than just focusing on the heart. In May of 2021, I went to ER for an enzyme problem that was affecting my heart. I was transferred to Methodist Hospital and Dr. Donovan was the first doctor to see me, brightening my day at 0600 with his infectious smile and manner. He worked with the hospitalist and the pulmonary doctors to get me well. And on the same day as that early visit, he also dropped by at 9:30 PM after a long day of surgery and an emergency. Some complain about his punctuality for appointments- he simply gets more into a day than anyone I know. And I’ve never felt rushed during the visit. He answered all my questions and I feel genuinely satisfied. If I were only permitted one doctor in my life, it would be Dr. Donovan.

In March I was refer by my cardiologist to be part of a tricuspid valve clip repair study Dr Donovan is heading. I made it through the TTE procedure in May. While under sedation, I heard him say I would benefit greatly from the clip repair but I did not meet the qualifications. I attempted serveral times to find out the reason, but all his nurse would say was all participants had to be in a "XYZ" category and I fell in a "WXYZ" category. Never got response from Dr himself. My cardiologist tried contacting him directly and he did not recieve a response either. I was then referred to another valve specialist who reviewed my case to present to the surgical team for review. Dr. Donavan is a member of that team. Today I recieved word that I was not recommended for surgery and I have to wait for Dr. Donavan to talk with my cardiologist. I suspecting that if Dr Donavan had responded to my cardiologist in the beginning, I could have saved time and money with the second. I am waiting again.??

I have been a patient of Dr. Donovan for well over 10 yrs. While I have not had any major procedures, my visits with him are always informational and enjoyable. His light hearted and relaxed approach is always appreciated. I find him kind, polite, and very knowledgable. I certainly would recommend him . He was recommended to me by my personal physician.

I've been a patient of Dr. Donovan for 10 years. I was a RN of 30+ years when I first saw him for a stress test prior to my having surgery. I ended up needing 4 stents placed. I continue to see him because he is very well qualified in cardiology. I see doctors who are the best in their field. I research them and ask colleagues for recommendations. He's rarely on time, but that's because of emergencies and his popularity. I bring a book to read. He explains procedures and heart conditions in simple terms.

All of the nurses were very nice and efficient. Dr. Donovan was very thorough and took his time talking to me; was not in a rush. After my appointment, the receptionist offered to make my appointment for a follow up test at the Methodist Hospital and did so. A very pleasant experience with everyone!

Dr. Donovan was the doctor that performed a valve replacement for me, while we both were active duty at Lackland AF. We reconnected years ago as civilians. He also, help my wife in 2015. As she experienced reaction to her Chemotherapy and was hospitalized. He is a caring physician while being on top of our medical care.

I enjoy my visits every time I go. They make you feel at home and so does Doc Donavan. He is very polite, kind and comical. I usually get "WHITE COAT SYNDROME " sweaty hands , and nervous. I don't get it with him and his staff. I would highly recommend him to any one with any type of heart problems. He is tops in my book. Thank you all.

The doctor is great, but his office staff seems to be disorganized. Communication regarding changed appointments and insurance questions go un-answered. Voicemail messages are sometimes returned. This creates stress that this cardiac patient neither wants nor needs.

He is attentive to medical needs, listens, and responds with a plan. When my appointment is over, I leave with an added feeling of comfort and a reminder that I should not only take care of my condition (whatever that might be) but also enjoy life to the max with that condition. He dispenses medicine and joy!

Dr Donovan has a great bedside manner and always has an up-beat attitude. Knowledgeable in his specialty. However, I believe he has too many patients because on most visits I feel rushed or he is running behind schedule.

This was my first visit with Dr. Donovan as we have just relocated to the Boerne area. Dr. Donovan's staff was friendly and thorough in gathering my relevant medical history. Dr. Donovan's was very quick to put me at ease with this outgoing, warm, caring demeanor. I've had some wonderful doctors before, but I don't think I've ever had one that made me feel this comfortable and cared about. My only issue was that the wait time was extraordinarily long - I waited for almost and hour and a half. As this was my first visit, I'll give them the benefit of this being an unusual experience.

Dr. Daniel Donovan is an excellent cardiologist. He is genuinely concerned about his patients' welfare and goes above and beyond to diagnose and correctly treat the problem. He is personable and makes the patient feel comfortable.

Dr, Donovan is probably OK as a cardiologist, but his office is very poorly run. It took two weeks to get results of an echocardiogram (which I had to agree to get as an outpatient as a condition of being released from the hospital). I had to call for followup multiple times myself or it may have taken even longer. I was given results by a nurse that really did not have much information to share about my results. The office staff lacks empathy and caring. While in the hospital, I was not seen by a doctor from this group until 9pm at night.

Dr. Donovan is the finest cardiac man in the business. His professional knowledge and ability is exceeded only by his concern for his patients.

Dr. Donovan is a funny, charming person and a great doctor--but he is also the one who put things in simple terms that made me change my lifestyle and way of thinking. On my first visit 3 years ago when I was very sick, he told me "you may live to walk down the aisle at your daughter's wedding, but you probably won't live to see any grandchildren." At that point I was 54 years old so this was a stunning statement (delivered in a kind way) that made me sit up and take notice. He kindly helped me find the right path, referring me to an excellent pulmonologist who treated my undiagnosed sleep apnea. Since then I've lost 100 pounds and exercise regularly. Recent procedures Dr. Donovan performed to correct my afib revealed an underlying problem with my heart's "electrical system." With a new pacemaker installed by his CCSA compatriot, Dr. Fernando Contreras-Valdes, I have a new lease on life and feel better and better every day. I strongly believe Dr. Donovan saved my life...

I was referred to Dr. Daniel Donovan by the cardiologist in Del Rio, TX who was not able to place a stent at the time of the cardiac cath. I met Dr. Donovan with my first visit and he was very down to earth and forthcoming with answers. He did my cardiac cath in March 2019 for the OTC in the circumflex branch. It was a long procedure but he did not give up despite the different wires he used. He did not give up on my occlusion and was able to place a stent in the artery and I now had blood flow to that section of my heart. I am still recovering but I thank Dr. Donovan for his expertise and patience. I would gladly send any of my family and friends to him for cardiac care. I will continue to follow up with him in the future.

Since I have white coat syndrome, I’m always very anxious when I go to any Dr appointment. Dr Donovan has such a calming and reassuring mannerism that helps lesson my anxiety. Dr Donovan is my husbands Cardiologist. He is the most personal & caring person. His personality & sense of humor make you want to go see him. He is an outstanding doctor. My husband had a stroke in Sept 2017. With his care my husband is doing great & back to normal. We adore him.Highly recommend
