I booked an emergency appt because I had a painful cavity. Booked it on the weekend and made the appointment for Monday 10am through Zoc Doc. I got a "pending confirmation" email. Monday 10, I went to his office. The hours in the office says they were open that day. I waited 30 minutes, maybe they were just running late. 1 hour later. I called throughout that hour. No one picks up. I wasted a day, in pain, when I could've went to another dentist that didn't ignore their appointments. If he uses Zoc Doc for his appointments, why won't they acknowledge when people book appointments through it? Days later, Zoc Doc sends me an email asking me to rate how my appointment went. Psssstt! It isn't Zoc Doc. I've used it countless times to make appointments with doctors. For years and years. This is the only time a doctor has never acknowledged an appointment and wasn't even open when they were supposed to be open, according to their hours of operation on their door front. I'm mad, because I'm in pain and needed to be seen that day and wasted the day because everyone else was booked...for days. I booked an emergency appt because I had a painful cavity. Had a molar gone angry on me, called Dr. Choo’s office and Nicole got me in ASAP! Got a cleaning and the old tooth went bye bye! Great service and painless to boot. No swelling or discomfort after either. Highly recommended! See you in six weeks to get cleaned again. :-)

He claimed I needed a root canal (I didn’t). When I went to another dentist for a second opinion, the new dentist said the filling he did needed to be redone (it was only 2 months old). When she drilled it out, she found out he never cleaned out the cavity, he just put a filling on top of it, which is intentionally causing harm. I think he was trying to make it into a root canal. He is not negligent. He is intentionally causing harm to people.

It was the first time I was seeing Dr. Choo. I went in for a routine cleaning and I have 3 crowns in the front of my teeth. He told me that it was time to replace them because I had them for a few years already. Without my consent and without an explanation, Dr. Choo began the procedure to take them off. It was a shock. Nothing was discussed beforehand, and I didn’t understand what was happening until it was too late. I ended with gaps that I didn’t have previously because they weren’t placed correctly. I was left like that, being told that “this is better.” It was the most traumatizing experience I’ve had with a dentist.

The dental assistant/secretary did not properly clean my teeth. She polished them real nice, that was it, no scraping, not flossing...Dr Choo is a rip off. They wanted to charge me full price for all the work I needed done and not the after-insurance paid, price. I will never be back!
