Dr. Daniel Barry Block

Dr. Block was the first psychiatrist that I ever saw. I was a scared, not finacially well off, young mother with 3 young children. He decided, after our first appointment, that I had bipolar disorder. He tried me out on a few medications, that just "held me under" and did nothing to help the depressive symptoms. When my husband and I decided that he was not worth the money, that we were trying to make work each session, we let him know. I brought cash for our last session, $3 of which were quarters. He looked in the envelope that I handed him, looked up at me, and asked if I did not have cash. I was shocked and in tears. His one decent attribute was his tolerance for my 3 children at each session. Though he did have a toxic plant that he warned me of each week, but did not move. n my twenty year patient experience, with Dr. Block, Ive always felt he gently guided me in healthy ways towards my authentic self. Dr. Block’s knowledge in regards to insurance companies, pharmacies, finding the right medications...etc, has saved valuable time and trouble. Through his tutelage I have gained insights about the medications I take. My therapy sessions have been honest. Dr Block has listening skills like no other. I feel comfortable sharing about any topic. He is compassionate, good natured, works hard for the patient, and is truly thoughtful. When Dr Block opens his office door, or now portal, he shows kindness, a smile hello, and encourages healthy life, mind body and spirit. Thank you Dr. Block.

Cold. He spends too much time costly time researching on internet during session. I believe he spends no time on patients outside if session

Dr Daniel Block of West Grove, PA, is absolutely the Best psychiatrist I've ever been in care of in my entire adult life. I'm now almost 41 yrs old and have been his patient since my early 20's. Unfortunately due to insurance reasons and low finances I had to leave his care in 2009 and after that began an emotionally draining search for a new psychiatrist and after seeing several different psych doctors, still wasn't able to find one even close to being as caring as he was...now being 2018, a lot has changed in my life and I finally gave up my search for a psych doctor and my boyfriend and I have made it a point to make sure we have the financial stability for me to be able to go back to Dr Block. Since meeting with him a few wks ago, after not seeing him for 9 yrs, I've finally had a huge weight lifted from my shoulders and no longer have to worry about who will care for my mental conditions and prescribe my medications. Now thanks to my boyfriend, my 13 yr old daughter, Dr Block and my wonderful therapist, I have a a bright and healthy future to look forward to..thank you all for caring so much about me !!
