Dr Birkbeck saved my hand 12- 13 years ago. I had a rare disease on my carpal bones.

He's a great doctor, went right to the root of my problem!

The professional knowledge of doctor and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Who died and left this guy in charge? He has a God complex! Denied treatment because of my past history of drug use! Past history! I was clean when I went in and they didn't even test me! Never mentioned I should stop smoking first! This Dr decided I'm not fit to return to work that I should remain disabled!

Nice, clean and efficient office. Seated promptly. X-rays taken soon after. Dr. Birkbeck is knowledgable and caring. I was given injections with good explainations including handouts to take with me. Appointment couldn't have gone better!

Didn't realize it would be only my hand that would be reviewed. Was glad to see that "yes" I did break my wrist. Forgot to ask how long it would take to hear.

Energetic and lively office atmosphere. Dr. Birkbeck and staff were wonderful and informative

My third visit in about three years to deal with hand pain. First in my left hand where a 'trigger finger' became inflamed, restricting contraction of fist, accompanied by constant pain ranging from 3 to 8 on the pain scale. Repeat on the right hand a year or so later. Both visits slated a steroid cocktail to reduce swelling of non-bone, non-soft tissue tendons and sheaths, thereby reducing pain. Dr. Birkbeck both times exuded both empathy and understanding, and explained what the situation was and responded to questions I posed. This third visit is about two years after the second visit; the swelling has revisited my right hand. My primary Doc gave the necessary referral, my visit was quickly scheduled, and treatment planned. It is delayed one more week in order to not conflict with the effects of last weeks Maderna booster vaccination. Previous shots were administered quickly and efficiently. Terrible doctor. I felt that his care was irresponsible and misinformed.

I don't understand why it is so hard for my mom to get the treatment that she needs. Dr birbeck did her surgery and every time she tries to go in for pain or paper work the receptionist Melissa was so rude to my mom. She was on the phone for a long time and told my mom that she could either wait until she was done on the phone or she could leave. My mom also tried to show her some paper work and the receptionist was not even bothered to look at it. I'm a receptionist for a doctor as well and I don't treat people like that. I hope that no one else experiences this kind of behaviour. I don't understand why it is so hard for my mom to get the treatment that she needs. I could not have had a better experience. Dr Birkbeck thourougly explained my injury and my options. His staff could not have been more compassionate and caring and competent. Very disappointed by the lack of follow-up and preparation for scheduled appointments.

Let me start by saying that Dr Birkbeck is one of the nicest people I have met since moving to the North Bay three years ago. Not only is he a very gifted surgeon and family man but also just a down to earth approachable guy that likes to Mt Bike. I sought out Dr Birkbeck and his team specifically because he specializes in hand and wrist surgery. My experience was absolutely wonderful from the initial consultation to the final follow up appointment. I was also seen by one of the groups PA’s Alexis Rockwell and she is amazing as well. It was obvious to me that they care very deeply about how their patents are doing post surgery and I was given ample opportunities and encouraged to ask questions. I had absolutely no discomfort after my surgery and was given adequate pain medication if I should need it post surgically but it was not required. I am not in a big hurry to have surgery again anytime soon but if the need should arise there is no question in my mind that I would chose Dr Birkbeck and his team of dedicated professionals for any orthopedic needs I may require in the future. I would also not hesitate to refer my friends and family to Dr Birkbeck. From the bottom of my heart thank you once again Dr Birkbeck for such outstanding care. P.S. I highly reccommend Dr. Birkbeck and could not be happier that he performed Carpal Tunnel Release surgery on both of my hands. By the time I saw Dr. Birkbeck I had been dealing with the numbness and pain in my hands for years. He agreed it was my best option to do the surgery and I agreed without hesitation. The surgeries were scheduled promptly and completed without complications. I am more than happy with the results! My hands are pain free and the numbness is gone.
