Very caring for her patients!!!

I went in to get a teeth whitening treatment, Stephanie was awesome would definitely recommend and for sure be back soon!

I have been very happy with Dr. Hogan and her staff. She takes time to listen to me as a parent and is energetic and friendly with my little ones. She is also slow to push meds which I think is a lost art in medicine now.

Both of my children have been patients here for about 3.5 years. I am at a loss for words right now. My 15 month old son suffered with high fevers for 4 days. On monday, Dr. Hogan said his lungs were clear and diagnised him with an ear infection and a virus and didn't run any tests. That night he ran a temp of 95 degrees. I tried calling the on call service 4 times and dr. Hogan was called twice with no response. After 2 grueling hours I finally called a CHOA nurse and she told me to go to the ER, who diverted testing to dr. Hogan. She did leave a voicemail at around 2am complaining about why her on call nurse didn't answer my question. She never showed any concern for my son. After two more days of him suffering and me trying to reach his pediatrician, he was finally showing signs of recovery. I never received a call from her until friday night at 9pm. She apologized and mentioned how he was wheezing during the exam. A detail she completely left out that could have led to his quicker recovery as we would have gotten his chest xrayed. Apparently her reason was she was too busy with sick children and forgot to call??? But I will not be seeing her as she has dodged doing her job all week. I was always impressed by her charisma with children, but she just plain didn't care and didn't do her job. I cant Express how dissatisfied I am and how foolish I feel for trusting her with my son's life. I'm just glad he's ok right now. You should know my story. Always friendly, Dr Hogan is amazing and has gathered a wonderful staff. They're knowledgeable and take the time to listen. Highly recommend.

Wow, called for an appointment, the receptionist was bland, ran me around the barn about info that was not necessary for what I needed regarding my 7mo old daughter, I ask the fee because I am self pay due to business turn down, they stated $110 so I ask were there any discounts for self pay, she put me on hold then came back and stated, Dr. Hogan said you are not a good fit for our practice. So, wow, I am so shocked I was told that. They refused my business because I ask for a discount during tough times. Thanks! Dana Hogan is the rudest, most insensitive, money hungry, so called "pediatrician" I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. Called her tonight concerning the well being of my daughter and the deranged woman would not shut her trap long enough for us to explain her symptoms, I had to talk over her and basically tell her to stop talking long enough to explain the situation. She continued being rude, talking over us, and talking to us like idiots, asking us "what we wanted, why are we calling her?" When I finally got to the end of explaining my daughter's health I said something about needing to know if I should take her to the ER, and she responded "yep, sure, go ahead, take her." I proceeded in hanging up on this dumb incompetent "pediatrician". It was like arguing with a drunk person, which seems to be the case here because she was acting belligerent and combative, not at all synonymous with a health care professional. I was already considering leaving her "practice" because she refuses to see patients if you owe the smallest amount, even in emergencies but YOU WILL NEVER SEE HER anyway when you go in, you will see her assistants that are just as incompetent as HER. I had to call the Athens Regional nurse hotline and spoke to a wonderful young woman who went through countless warning signs and things to watch for, the type of health care professional you want to talk to when you're worried about your child. Fantastic Pediatrician! I would not take my children to anyone else, both of my children have seen Dr Hogan all their lives and my grandchildren are now patients. For 18 years she has been the BEST Dr ever.

Best Pediatrician ever! She isn’t quickly to label your kid with a disease rather she will try everything in her power to determine what is the underline problem. She is big into natural remedies and natural choices. She always makes me feel welcome and never judge me because I was breast feeding and supplementing at the same time. She truly takes time with each kid I never feel like she is just going through the motions. It’s refreshing to find a dr that loves what she does. I’m lucky to have found her! Best Pediatrician ever! This practice is extremely rude, all they care about is money and not the heath of children. We got a call from my child’s school that they were really sick. So we took them here. We waited for a long time for my child to be seen we were called back and was told we would not be seen until we paid $20 we owed from 2017. We had no idea we had a bill? We told her we did not have the money today but when we get paid we can pay the $20 and today’s copay. She basically said too bad, she needs her $20

Do NOT - I repeat - DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO Dr. Hogan!!! I'm saddened to write this because Dr. Hogan was my pediatrician growing up. So, I nonchalantly choose to make her my daughter's pediatrician as well. However, not two weeks after my daughter was born and I was made a new mother, my daughter had gotten sick. The day of her first check-up, I mentioned to Dr. Hogan that she was having a hard time breathing. She checked her chest and said that her lungs sounded clear. Two days later I was back at her office with the same issue, except it had gotten worse. I had to move my daughter from her crib and in bed with me just so I could keep her elevated enough to breathe and keep a very close eye on her. When telling Dr. Hogan this, she gave me a lecture on co-sleeping, evaluated her, and then said, "She's not that bad. She is actually the healthiest baby I've seen thus far this winter!" She gave me some hollistic tips on how I can apply some home remedies, and sent me on my way. She even tried to demonstrate on how to apply saline nasal spray, to which she missed both nostrols and ended up spraying my newborn daughter in both eyes, but did apologize. My husband and I, honestly stood there in disbelief not sure how to react. I tried this for 1.5 weeks, and nothing was working! She was only getting worse, and I tried everything from the advice of Dr. Hogan, mommy friends, blogs online... Absolutely nothing was working. My mother and I cleaned the whole house and waited... That didn't work either. I took my daughter back to Dr. Hogan again, who completely blew me off and got offended when I told her that something else must be wrong. Dr. Hogan told me the same thing, "Her lungs sound very slightly raspy, but nothing to be worried about. She still is the healthiest baby I've seen this season." She sent a nurse to demonstrate how I might be doing the home remedies wrong, and sent me on my way. Not a week later at 2am, I noticed that my daughter could not breathe while trying to eat. I called my husband who worked the grave shift to come back home so we could take her to the hospital. After waiting 4.5 hours in the ER at Athens Regional (now Peidmont), the doctor checked her vitals and gave an exam and still found nothing wrong. He even gave an X-ray to my one month old just to make sure nothing was missed. When all test were done, he came back with the conclusion that nothing was wrong, told me that I was a good mother, and to keep up all the good work I was doing. I started crying, desperately explaining that nothing is working and begged him to give me some other remedies to help her. But because she was so young and with no diagnosis, there was nothing he could do. Getting desperate, I then started to wonder if she was allergice to our cats; and started talking about finding them homes. Which broke my heart, because I had them since I was teenager. So, I started calling allergist before I took to the extreme. A women picked up and told me it was highly unlikely, but asked what my daughter's symptoms were? I told her, in which she responded, "Maybe it's a milk allergy?" Dumbfounded and being a new and ignorant mother at the time, my first thought was, "How could a milk allergy give my daughter severe cold-like symptoms?" But after being at Dr. Hogans multiple times and the hospital, I didn't know who to turn to. In seeing my desperation, my mother started asking family members after a funeral (my step-grandfather passed away. Being that my daughter was brand new, everyone was gawking at her) if they had any recommendations for a pediatrician. Someone mentioned Dr. Swails in Athens. I immediately made an appointment the next day. When I met with Dr. Swails, he listened to me with great concern and never dismissed my thoughts; and thoroughly evaluted my daughter. After he was done, he confirmed the milk allergy and gave me an entire case of allergy formula for free to use while trying to get my milk supply back up! My daughter was sick for almost the FIRST TWO MONTHS OF HER LIFE for such a simple diagnosis! Do NOT - I repeat - DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO Dr. Hogan!!! Best Pediatrician!

We have been looking for a peditrition for 3 years. Dr. Hogan came highly recommended by a new friend of mine. Just had our first appointment for our new addition and the entire experience was exceptional. We are so excited. Everyone there is wonderful.

We have seen Dr Hogan for a number of years and little things that have added up over time (rude staff, long wait times)... combined with recent misdiagnoses, I cannot recommend this practice. She also uses undiluted essential oils on babies - while I am not opposed to more holistic methods, I expect a professional to know that oils must always be properly diluted, especially for babies.

Dr. Hogan is great. No after hours call/weekend service and I see her PA more than her.
