Dr. Damara Lee Kaplan

Don’t ever use this Dr. She killed my brother in law @ Presbyterian Hospital. He had bladder cancer in November and died in May, from that time of recovery, he actually spent 3 weeks total at home. My husband had the same surgery before him, at UNM, by Dr Davis. This clown Kaplan, made the comment that she worked with what she had and walked away from her. No bedside manner and total disregard for his life. My brother in law was a good man, he is totally missed. She is now working at New Mexico Cancer Center in Albuquerque. She should be disbarred, and not allowed to practice anywhere!!

Dr. Kaplan was amazing in her treatment for my urinary incontinence. Excellent bedside manner.

Excellent surgeon but horrible bedside manner. I have had several surgeries and cystoscopies with Dr. Kaplan and she performs excellently. But she completely lacks people skills, something I really need as a cancer patient. She explains nothing and I am fairly savvy about my body. I have never felt included in decisions. The office staff is great but, again, completely unhelpful as far as support for cancer patients. I will be returning to Dr. Davis at UNM.

Listens knowledgeable focused skilled

I found Dr. Kaplan to be very professional and focused on her work. I am a repeated 'stone-maker' and I was treated by her in 2015 for a Large kidney stone that had "hooks" into my kidney. The stone had caused a life-threatening infection in late December 2015 and early January 2016; I feel that She and her team saved my life when she got the infection under control, and broke that huge stone into moveable pieces that were then flushed through a long tube to my bladder where they were passed from my body. I am grateful to Dr. Kaplan for her expertise, quick action and professionalism.

The visits were average. As was pointed it in previous posts, she and her staff do not return any calls. We were mischarged and after 14 months of trying to get a good of her nothing. Our insurance patient advocate could not get a hold of her. Our experience has been very unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Dr. Kaplan saved my husbands life and kidney last summer. I cannot say or thank her enough. Appointed to my husband in the emergency room, 3 surgeries and many visits due to high risk. Thankful for Dr. And staff.

Worst freaking service of all!!! Never return a phone call for a simple test result!!!!

This God sent Woman along with the assisting Doctors saved my life !! Thank you to all of you !! May God bless each and every one of you!! We still have 1 more surgery to be done. But no worries here!! ???? ?????

Every time we call the office we are told we have to get back to you and then nothing. You could die before this office or their staff call you back. They do not care, they do not return calls,staff does not know what they are doing and there is utter confusion when you finally do get someone on the phone only to be told someone will have to call you back. This doctor and her staff suck big time. Find someone else because if you stay with her you will die from your disease.
