Dr. Halter retired early 2020. He was an outstanding RHEUMATOLOGIST and is a great person. A specialist who diagnosed my rare symptoms (at the time, 23 years ago) after three doctors mis-diagnosed my symptoms as heart disease, muscle spasm, poor blood circulation, depression. Starting with Scleroderma then Reynauds... finally CREST... Systemic Lupus. He photographed my hands and studied my case, monitored my situation carefully and regularly every 3-6 months. Mainly during serious Lupus flare-ups whereas before I was disabled by episodes of intense pain and fatigue, and panic ... he administered steroid and pain pills, then later injections, and 3 times recommended a local Neuro surgeon for most serious pain and tissue damage when it became unbearable. I was in bad shape, at times immobilized but He'd rescue me. He is why I've survived it for so long. God Bless Dr. Dale Halter.

He retired in early 2020 and I miss his care so much!! There will never be another doctor as special as Dr. Halter.

He is a great doctor, he was able to tread my son and the diagnostic was exactly correct after spending more than 2 years with other doctors and hospitals dr.Halter was able to make my son to be able to live life normal with no pain. There for I'm for one thankfull and sure my son is too.

Can't reach the office by phone, and messages left with answering service never get a call-back. Gastroenterologist referred my husband to Dr. Halter, but it is impossible to get a confirmed date/time/location for appointment. The phone number listed either goes to answering service, or rings busy. Have called and left 4 messages asking for a call back, have yet to receive one. I guess this doctor is so busy he doesn't want to see new patients -- wish the office would just tell me so I could stop wasting my time. Dr Halter is great. He is attentive, listens, and even goes the extra mile explaining why he does the things he does. He's shared a couple of rheum studies with me when we decide a plan of care. His office is great too.

Dale Halter, M.D., has long been recognized as one of the top 100 doctors in the nation. He's no-nonsense. Just answer his questions, I learned. After several visits, I posed one to him--and he listened. It led to no longer needing to see him, but I left feeling respected in return. It took some time to warm up to him and learn not to talk so much, but I have a high regard for his expertise and many years of experience.
