Dr. Dale L. Coy

Dr. Coy is a fabulous Gastroenterologist. He listens intently, answers concerns and suggests preventive measures to stay healthy. He cares immensely about his patients and his staff is excellent too.

I can't say enough about what a GREAT place this is. The Doctor, Nurses, and Staff were all great! They all made me feel extremely comfortable, with what is one of the most uncomfortable procedures. Everyone was extremely friendly, and professional. After the procedure Dr. Coy explained everything, and made sure I understood, and addressed all of my concerns. I highly recommend GI Partners of Illinois, Doctor Coy, Nurses, and Staff!!

Went in for a colonoscopy and can't speak highly enough about Dr Coy, his anesthesiologist, and the two nurses Kathi and Holly. Everyone was great amd far better than going into a hospital for the procedure.

I recently had a colonoscopy at GI Partners, totally efficient operation from scheduling, pre screening and procedure. The receptionist, nurses Anne and Holly, Lois the anesthesia lady and Dr. Coy we’re outstanding. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing gastroenterology.

Dr. Coy and his staff are so competent and experienced that they made my colonoscopy procedure a breeze. Kathi, the nurse the prepared me for the procedure, is very experienced and polished with a great sense of humor. Holly, the nurse that was with me during and after the procedure was calm, relaxed, and made the procedure stress-free. Dr. Coy explained the procedure prior to the colonoscopy and when I awoke after the procedure, he was right there to explain the results. For me, the whole colonoscopy process just flew by.

Friendly atmosphere, very efficient office. I was admitted early, the procedure was explained to me and within minutes I was in the procedure room and being prepped. The anesthesiologist did an excellent job. Dr. Coy preformed the procedure and the next thing I knew I was in a recovery room. The nurse took excellent care of me and Dr. Coy came in to check on me and explain what they found. I would recommend Dr. Coy and the team at GI Partners to everyone needing a colonoscopy. This was my third visit for an colonoscopy and the service was excellent. Ashley and Holly were great as they were my nurses.

From Kelly who helped me make my appointment to Alicia who called to explain the procedure and stayed w/me when i returned after my colonoscopy to Holly who explained the whole procedure....fantastic service! they all were so kind and caring. and for the star, Dr Coy,..can't say enough about him. I just had a colonoscopy yesterday at the GI Partners of Illinois Lake Barrington location. I wanted to post a review for others to see who are looking for an excellent physician to do the procedure. Look no further. From the initial phone call to make the appointment, to the follow up call today, I only experienced professionalism and kindness. I was very nervous, however my anxiety was met with sympathy and patience. I only have the highest words of praise for each of my encounters with all involved: Dr Coy, and the anesthesiologist, nurses Kathi and Alicia, the morning of receptionist, the pre-procedure information nurse Margie, the nurse who administered a covid test, and Amy who called me today to see how I was feeling. All of them made my experience very comfortable.

Colonoscopy. Outstanding doctor and team. From setting appointment (I was a new patient) to communication prior to prep and appointment, the procedure and follow up, my experience was very, very good. A professional, caring group.

Recent Colonoscopy and EGD in Lake Barrington facility of GI Partners of Northern Illinois. This is a better location than having the procedure done in a hospital. Dr Coy is great and took the time to explain the upcoming procedure, then the findings afterwards. He is highly recommended. My only complaint is that the facility itself is very noisy in the patient holding area. Doctors can be heard consulting with other patients, diagnoses can be clearly heard. Inadequate privacy. Also, the area is very noisy which I personally find stressful before and after a procedure. Otherwise, the Staff was very professional, and I was very well treated.

Everyone I dealt with was very nice and professional. They made me so comfortable. I would recommend Dr. Coy and his staff for a colonoscopy. Ashley and Holly were two of my nurses and they were so nice.

Return customer, happy to see it's still a consistent, well-organized procedure. All involved were very happy people, nice to be in that environment

Be Prepared!!! Their office is only open 3 days a week. Good luck getting anyone to call you if you need something. I am cancelling with them and going somewhere else.

Exceptional service and care from start to finish, easing the stress of my procedure.

Outstanding doctor took me on as a patient when I was in the hospital and he came to see me when I was sick and laying in that hospital bed one of the few doctors in my opinion that has a genuine concern for his patients and their well being doctor coy leaves no stone unturned when the time comes to cure his patients he cured me of my hepatitis c and I wish all doctors where like Dr. Dale Coy he saved me and I will be forever grateful to this man for his unrelenting pursuit in curing me of me hepatitis C his bedside manner is impeccable and in my darkest days he always found a way to make me feel better about my situation and he never gave up on me I wish all doctors where like doctor coy he is one of the best doctors if not the best that I ever had. Thank you.

The staff is very friendly. They explain everything so well. Dr. Coy is a great doctor. I would definitely recommend GI Partners to friends and family.

Great place for procedure

Dr. Coy and his staff who tended to me, Alicia and Karen took very good care of me throughout the whole process. They answered all my questions and made it a high priority to make sure I was comfortable. Also an added plus is that the process from start to completion is a lot quicker. My previous was at a hospital, and I was there 3 hours there, I was under 2 here.

This was my second colonoscopy with Dr. Coy. It was my first visit to his GI Partners clinic in Lake Barrington. The nurses Alicia and Ashley were very professional, friendly, and helpful. Prior to the procedure, they explained very clearly what was going to happen, and put my nervousness to rest. Dr. Coy must have done an excellent job, because after I woke up, I knew nothing had ever happened. I highly recommend Dr. Coy and GI Partners.

I have been a patient of Dr. Coy since 2006. I recently scheduled a colonoscopy, at the Lake Barrington facility. The facility is modern and clean, with all health and safety protocols followed to a t. Even in the midst of a pandemic, I was completely comfortable having the procedure done. His staff is parallel to none. Professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Everything is explained in detail. All questions answered. My nurses Kathi and Vikki were excellent. A special shout out to Kathi! Since it was the day before my birthday, she serenaded me with Happy Birthday. Highly recommended!

The Staff at GI Partners are excellent, they really enjoy their jobs and take care of their patients. They care for each individual and pay close attention to every little detail, and they also like to have fun by "mixing things up" and joke around with their patients, which adds a nice little personal touch. I have been going to GI Partners for almost 10 years and must say that the bedside manners and professionalism of Dr. Dale Coy is "top notch". He is easy to understand and explains things very well, and after the procedure he visits to ensure that I understood the results and makes sure that there are no open questions left unanswered.

Dr. Coy and his team offer the best health care. They’re efficient, thorough and discuss everything with the patient. You leave with reading materials to help you follow the recommendations they have advised for you. I really felt confident that this was excellent health care. The nurses were absolutely incredible and explained the procedure perfectly. 5 stars!

I can’t say enough about how welcoming and kind the staff was! Nurse Kathy, was informative, kind, funny and educated me on everything about my colonoscopy procedure. WOW! Dr. Coy is by FAR one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He is kind, smart and compassionate. I will give credit where credit is due; and it is definitely due here. Another WOW is his assistant Dayna, this Apple didn’t fall far from the tree. She is just as understanding and compassionate as he is which really makes this team spectacular. I will forever be grateful for all he has done for me and my health. I have lived in the Barrington community for over 45 years, and I have met some very remarkable people over this time. I am proud to say I work at the Foglia YMCA. One of the most prominent Heart Doctors in the area is a member there. He has helped many and saved many lives, I often hear him speak of another Doctor that he respects greatly. That Doctor is , Dr. Dale Coy. To know he has such amazing praise from another amazing doctor speaks volumes to his character. I speak from my own heart as well as that of my family when I say these things. Dr. Coy is one truly great doctor whose reputation precedes him. I am very glad to know that he has many thankful patients in his very capable hands! One genuine soul to help so many others. We asked for a great doctor, and we were given the best!

He went above and beyond by personally contacting a surgeon that he suggested I see while I was still there. Dr. Coy was very kind, explained things well and the procedure went very well. Everyone else who attended me was very kind, informed me of everything that was to happen, very professional. I had been to this practice in the past and have received great comments from people over the years about them.

I only saw Dr. Coy for less than 5 minutes before & after my colonoscopy, but his staff are OUTSTANDING! All of the ladies went above & beyond to make me feel comfortable & relaxed. I can't recommend this office enough. And did I mention that not only were they running on time, but early!! This never happens in the medical field!

Saw me in the hospital told me I wise fine after being in the hospital for 4 days. Told me my ct showed minor inflammation canceled the scope that was ordered for me sent me home. Was able to get a second opinion and emergency scope that showed I have extreme bad case of Erosive Gastritis as well as an inflamed colon and zero natural flora. Excellent. Dr. Coy was a professional but at the same time very personable. He talked to me as an equal and a partner in my health. Dr. Coy spent the time to explain my results, the reasoning for the tests and the next steps in a very methodical manner. It is nice to see people who have a passion for what they do.

Dr. Coy is one of the most brilliant and thorough liver doctors that I have ever worked with. My usual doc is at Mayo Clinic, but they suggested Dr. Coy so that I had someone near me. He is brilliant, kind, compassionate, and I have complete trust in all of his work.

I saw Dr Coy for a Colonoscopy. He did an outstanding job with the procedure. I was impressed by his bedside manor and the fact that he explained everything prior and after the procedure. He also address my concern about the anesthesia, as my last procedure with a different practice could not find the right dose of anesthesia to keep me from waking you during the procedure. This time I slept like a baby and within 3 minutes of waking up in the recovery room he was there explaining the results and the next steps. Terrific doctor, highly recommend.
