Dr. Dahari D Brooks

Dr Brooks did not listen and talked over me anytime I tried to talk. He was trying to be funny and not professional at all. I felt like he was not taking my problems serious or trying to resolve my issue. The appointment felt rushed and he was rushing from room to room. I left the appointment with no resolution, none of my questions answered and no solution. A total waste if my time & money! All he wanted to do was send me for a injection with a different doctor. I would not recommend Dr Brooks to anyone! I have been to a lot of doctors with several different medical issues and Dr Brooks rates at the bottom of my list!

Dr. Brooks made me feel so at ease and took time to answer all my questions.

Dr Brooks is eaay to talk and will be conservative but take the time to explain things to you. He will give it to me straight! Best bedside manor ever for a Surgeon and top of his field!

First Visit! OMG! #100%. I was a little nervous because of the severity of my back pain....and feared the possible outcome. The visit was Great. Dr. Brooks is very personable. He was very detailed and explained Everything! Thanks for making the visit comfortable.

Very large and very busy. I hope that is the reason why Dr. Brooks was so short and uptight with me. I am sorry I did not have my MRI with me but that was never sent to me. I have confirmed today that they will re-send it to me. Not my fault, Dr. Brooks!

Dr Brooks was upfront and honest. He took time to answer questions and advised the best plan for addressing my issues.

Doctor Brooks is an excellent Orthopedic surgeon. He listens very carefully to everything that you have to say regarding your injury and then he will offer several different solutions on how he will help And try and cure your injury!

Dr Brooks is extremely knowledgeable. He always knows how I am feeling. He takes time to listen and explain what is happening and the care plan in place.

I believe Dr. Brooks could tell I was nervous. He has a great sense of humor. By the end of the appointment I felt like I had known him for years even though that was my first appointment with him. I've had back and neck issues for years. He told me what I need to do and let me know that I wasn't doing enough currently. He set me up with physical therapy, looking for to it and feeling better soon.

Great care..

He was personally, he was straight forward. Love the fact that he was hands on and touched and showed me what and where the problems are. He explained the situation as it stands to get me to where I need to be.

I cant say enough good things about this doctor, he has done my neck and back..and never had any problems,he will come and talk or comfort you right before you go in to the operating room, I think he goes up above and beyond to make everything you need run smooth as it can ..and very thorough...5 stars from me

Very odd and rushed visit. Was sent here from the VA. Was told they didn't have my records, only the imaging. Was then told in about 5 minutes of office time to move on with my life and that I'd just have to deal with the back pain. All this based off an mri from 2019. Very very rushed and impersonal from the nurse to the doctor. Would not recommend this to someone that wants a smaller, not 50 patient, waiting room. Doctor seemed incredibly rushed and like he immediately wanted to be elsewhere. Made a medical opinion based off of partial, old imaging. Would 100% not recommend this doctor or clinic. Great Doctor gets to the point of care my Family likes DR Brooks thanks

I was very impressed with Dr.Brooks, he was kind and understanding with my back problem and pinched nerve. He is doing everything possible to help me without having to do surgery (which I truly appreciate).

I think the world of Dr Brooks. He is so easy to talk to and he’s very compassionate. He takes the time to listen to you and the time to explain to you exactly what needs to be done. EmergOrtho has the best Orthopedic physicians in the Triad region. I would recommend them for any Orthopedic issues you may have.

Dr.Brooks is OUTSTANDING! Unlike some others, Surgery is the LAST OPTION. He repaired my L-5 Disc after it EXPLODED into a thousand pieces (his words). He TRUELY CARES about his patients as evidenced by the ONLY thing I have EVER had a surgeon do (10 surgeries) before the procedure. He asked if I minded if WE PRAYED TOGETHER for a SUCCESSFUL SURGERY!

It was my first visit. Dr. Brooks listened to me and made me feel as if he truly wanted to help me. That made me feel so much better. Looking forward to seeing him again in 3 months

Such a nice man. Thoroughly explains everything to you and makes sure you understand. Doesn't keep you waiting either.

What an awesome experience! Of course surgery is never something one wishes for but I would only trust Dr. Brooks. He performed ACDF surgery on me removing four discs and replaced with cages. He prayed with me before the surgery setting me at ease. I am WAY BETTER now three weeks after surgery. God Bless You, Dr. Brooks!

ok at first. did a great job on surgery. very personal. then something happened and its like he became a very different person. clueless to why. not sure if due to different settings in corp changes or if was something his asst said. i am clueless, but totally disappointed in in his attitude my last last. its so upsetting to find such a nice christain good doc, then see then change over who knows what within a practice. You won't find a more dedicated team anywhere in my opinion

Dr Brooks is a great doctor. He is compassionate and really shows he cares about his patients. Praying with me before surgery was a extra special touch. It made me feel very comfortable. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Brooks was friendly, professional and very patient. I would and have recommended him to other people. Dr. Brooks is the only surgeon i would see for spinal issues. I am very pleased with Dr. Brooks and his staff.

Dr Brooks is one of the best doctor that I've ever had to deal with.. He always wants to know about how I feel and will answer all of your questions and I just think that he is a fun person to be around..He treats me with the upmost respect

Absolutely fabulous visit with Dr. Brooks. Personable, friendly, efficient and provided great service! I have always been impressed with this group of specialist.

I highly recommend Dr. Brooks to anyone who needs his services, he is a very caring and compassionate physician. He answers all my questions and explains everything I need to know about my care. He’s very patient and a good listener. He truly cares!

Dr Brooks was very patient and professional, listened to my concerns and helped to determine the best care for my needs. Friendly staff and not a long wait! Also the office provided me a surgical mask and kept everyone 6 feet apart in the waiting area! I was exceptionally pleased!

I just underwent my 2nd ACDF (2 cervical disc fusions) in 6 years with Dr. Brooks. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is the most caring and gentle surgeon I have ever met. My surgery was a success, and at 71 I feel better than I have in over 2 years! He has definitely been blessed with a gift for God, and I recommend him with no reservations.

I went in concerned that in 2016 I had a single compression fracture at T10. Now I have one at T7, T8, T9 and the one at T10 is "completely mangled" with degenerative disk disease. SO. Instead of talking to me about why my spine is completely mangled, He wants to blame me for not caring enough about myself to get my knees fixed. Now, I still have no answers about my back, but a referral to a knee surgeon and a referral to aquatic therapy. I want to know why, with a normal bone scan in 2016 and late 2021, I have 4 compression fractures. He seems like a really nice guy, but he was too far behind to give me the kind of care any patient deserves.

He is very thorough and takes time to explain things to you. Takes his time with the patient to make sure you understand what is going on and his recommendations are.

Best doctor I’ve ever seen!!!

Dr. Brooks is not only a skilled physician and surgeon but he’s a caring and kind person. He has a great sense of humor and puts his patients at ease from minute one! He has performed cervical fusions for me twice ( different discs) and each time has made me feel safe and truly cared for. I cannot recommend highly enough!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Brooks for about four years. I have the highest respect for him as a surgeon and as a person. He explains everything so clearly and enjoys being able to help people. He has performed 2 surgeries on me- a cervical disc replacement in my neck and a discectomy on my lower back. My recovery has been as expected and I am very pleased with his work. He is not one that is quick to recommend surgery if other treatments are a possible solution. He is reasonable and has a joyful personality. It meant so much that he prayed with me right before my surgeries.

Early June started trying to get a pain injection appt. Had been a while so I had to see Dr Brooks for an assessment first, which I understood.He was great and said they would Make an appointment for me to have the injection. Two weeks went by before Susan ext.#51310 called me(July 6)and left a message for me to call her to make an appointment. I did and had to leave a message for her. After not hearing anything from her for a couple of days I left another message saying to make appointment for first available day and time and let me know. My lower back pains were alleviated with spinal fusion thanks to surgery performed by Dr Brooks. I’m 1 yr since surgery and am having no pain. Thanks to Dr Brooks expertise I can stand, sit in a chair or ride in a car without any discomfort. Not only is he a great doctor and surgeon, he’s also a kind and caring doctor who genuinely takes an interest in his patients. I would highly recommend Dr Brooks to anyone who is experiencing any back problems.

It was short and not so sweet. Dr. Brooks never took x ray of lower lumbar. I went to get a second opinion and had a very bad experience. I've lived off of epidurals and bersitis injection for the past 2 years. I'll he seem to be concerned with was my scoliosis and I have had it for years with Herrington rods. That is not the problem. I have bad disc, and his reasons was I need to loose weight, and need a brest reduction. Physical therapy and I have done. Pain management I have done. He wouldn't take not even 2 mins to listen to me. Im so tired of doctors just automatically wanting to send you to pain management. There is a solution to the problem. Im tall and about 40 pounds overweight. I know it doesn't help me, but im trying to loose the weight. I go sun up to sun down and run a grooming business. Always reach my active goals. It hurts to walk, squat etc. I keep on the best I can and with no pain medication. I thought he was going to be a good doctor. I had been referred to him by family. There was people in the waiting room complaining of him. Maybe he was having a bad day. That is still no excuse to not listen or treat someone as if they are a liar and someone looking for pills or disabilities. While his results are airtight, I didn't get the impression he became a doctor to help people.

I was a new patient and never had the opportunity to meet Dr. Brooks. I felt insignificant and not important that the doctor did not come in to at least introduce himself, not sure if I will go back.

Dr Brooks was very friendly. The front staff were very helpful. He ordered water therapy for my issues so we will see. The appointment was quick and to the point and not sure if he is the appropriate doctor to see anyway . Of course I need to lose weight and this seems to be every doctors answer. When I saw Dr Brooks I had a problem with what I thought was an isolated problem with my Back.Dr Brooks did a full examination and immediately showed me on x-ray what my problem is with a joint.Dr Brooks is real easy to talk to and he takes time to work with you.I was so impressed with him I have already recommended others to see him .
