I agree with other reviewers. She has pretty poor bedside manner. She certainly seemed disinterested in my daughter’s pain. Empathy would go a long way. I’m sure she sees a lot of people in urgent care that doesn’t need to be at urgent care. But I can assure you, we felt we needed to be there. And to be essentially dismissed is very frustrating. Horrible bedside manner. Awful and has no professionalism

Dr Ruffallo saved my life. She was detailed, compassionate, caring, and took precautionary action by getting me into imaging right then for a chest and abdominal CT scan with contrast and discovered I had a very rare Aneurysm dissecting. She got me immediately into the ER where I was stabilized and admitted to Cardiac ICU for 4 days and then the Cardiac Stepdown Unit. I can not say enough good things about her concern, decision making skills and sense of urgency without terrifying me. This was the second time Providence Urgent Care Doctors saved my life. Dr. Ruffolo is one of the most abrasive and apathetic physicians I have ever encountered. I try not to go to urgent care (or even my family practitioner) unless I am seriously ill. I recently went to urgent care and saw Dr. Ruffolo. From the moment she entered the room, she seemed angry, like she did not even want to be at work. She rolled her eyes, used a mocking tone of voice, interrupted me, did not listen (I had to repeat myself several times) and dismissed my concerns. She couldn't even give me a decent guess as to why I was ill. I miss the old school doctors who would do their best to give you a diagnosis. I wasted over an hour and $50 on my visit. I would have been better off going to a Quick Care where an eager, enthusiastic, and compassionate NP or PA would have seen me. Really, Dr. Ruffolo, why did you become a doctor? My girlfriend saw Dr. Ruffolo at Providence Urgent care. She went to the office for symptoms of strep throat (pain, swelling, white spots on the throat) and a fever of 103 degree's for several days. Ruffolo continued to interrupt after asking questions and ignored any questions asked of her. She acted in a rude and abrasive manner. She showed no concern and had a terrible bedside manner. She refused to treat the high fever (which over the counter meds weren't bringing down) and refused to send the throat cultures for testing. Ruffolo told her it would probably go away and provided no information or assistance with managing the symptoms. My girlfriend saw Dr. Ruffolo at Providence Urgent care.
