Dr. Curt is the real deal. Rather than just another counselor who listens and validates what you're saying (hey, all power to you if that's what you're looking for, it's just not for me), Dr. Curt is exceptionally observant and intelligent. Most other counselors I've seen have been unable to pierce the smoke screen I use to protect myself, but he does. He's outstanding at identifying and challenging our premises and asking hard questions. Just know that therapy with Dr. Curt is WORK. Exhausting. Intense. But that's what I wanted, because the listen and validates counselors don't drive positive change in my life. If you're looking for a counselor who is committed to helping you find areas of improvement and do the work then you'll love Dr. Curt. If you just want someone who listens to you and validates you then Dr. Curt might not be a good fit, because he's professionally determined to help his patients better themselves.
