Dr. Curtis Johnson

I absolutely loved Dr Johnson. Everyone was pleasant there however when I tried to make my co-payment using my Care Credit Mastercard the receptionist said they don’t take care credit and I explained it was a Care Credit Mastercard and they should not process through Care Credit and to just run it through as a regular Mastercard and she refused to do so. A lot of places say that and when they do run it it goes right through. It’s like if I made a payment on line it doesn’t ask you what type of Mastercard you are using. I just saw Dr. Curtis Johnson, what an honor. I work with and seen by doctors and Dr. Johnson, talks and treats patients with such respect. He was the only one that could figure out my problem.Thank you Dr. Johnson! J. Clarke

I have been going to Dr. Johnson for 9 years and always had good service and prompt appointment times. Also, they sent a number of reminders about my appointment date and time.

Dr. Curtis Johnson has been the only ENT in years to help me through my issues. He is courteous and precise. He gets to the point, diagnosis' you and sends you on your way. Answers all questions and sees you right away if necessary. I would not trade him in for anything.

Worst Experience. I wish now that I had reviewed this page before going to this doctor. The ENT and Allergy associates of Florida which the Doctor is part of is the place to avoid if you want to save time,energy and money. I had a throat pain and wanted to get checked. I was not told before the examination that he will perform laryngoscopy in his office which will be subject to different insurance deductible. It is a very expensive procedure and I was not warned of it. He just did it as if like a normal doctor examination and he never let me know that it is a separate diagnostic procedure and will be billed separately to insurance. Also, there was no problem in my ear. He just went ahead and removed lil wax before even I realize what was going on. That was billed to my insurance as separate surgery. Total I lost $200 after Insurance deductibles. I wish they told me up front of this , I would be able to make informed decision. I have been a patient of Dr. Johnson for several years. I have wicked allergies and have been prescribed medicine and a nasal spray. In the last two years I have become a full time RVer traveling our beautiful country. Unfortunately certain areas really aggravate my allergies and breathing, to the point where I feel as though I have allergy induced asthma. I called and requested to speak to Dr Johnson’s assistant after I got nowhere with the front desk. When we spoke I informed her of my allergies and the high pollen count here and that the altitude is also exacerbating my breathing. She asked me, “How can we help you?” I answered, “I want to breath!” And she responded with, “Yes you don’t sound good!” That’s it!! She asked if I was taking my meds, possibly double up on them and use a nasal spray. Unbelievable!! I shared that my inhaler was low, which by the way was prescribed by the Emergency Physician last year in New Mexico when Dr Johnson recommended I go. Fear that I could have COVID-19, which I did not. I HAVE ALLERGIES!! ALLERGIES!! I visited this office a few years ago. I had an ear blockage caused by a recent viral infection and I didn't need a hearing test. Obviously, if you have an ear blockage from infection, hearing is muffled but it's not a hearing loss problem. However, this office made me get that hearing test anyways as part of the visit. Unnecessary and just a way to bill for more money. The audiologist spent more time with me than the doctor himself actually did. She did a thorough exam. Then when Dr. Johnson saw me, he didn't even look at me, just looked down at the paperwork I filled out when I came in and whatever info the audiologist gave him. He didn't even physically LOOK in my ear. He just threw a prescription at me and was done with me. The scrip was a time release antibiotic over 10 days which only finally worked on the last day. So yeah the treatment worked but his handling and manner with me was utterly disinterested and uncaring. I would never go back to his office again.

I was not informed of a charge to a test they performed. Then wanted me to come back and take same test. They should have informed me of the test charge before actually doing the test.

This practice is the definition of taking advantage of sick people, for profit. I had waited a week in severe pain for my appt with the dr. the receptionist took my insurance info over the phone when i made the appt. while i was in the room with this long awaited appt, the “nurse” popped in and informed me my insurance was not accepted by the group. why wouldn’t you tell me when i made the appt a week ago? ???? So, I paid $250 out of pocket out of desperation. The dr, once he realized i wasn’t going to sign up for n expensive procedure, evaporated like yesterday’s snow. what an awful uncaring group. avoid at all costs. Office staff was friendly and efficient. I was taken in at a reasonable time, then seen promptly. Dr Johnson was very pleasant. I could not have asked for a better visit.

If I could give this review 0 stars I would, this office is very unprofessional and has no compassion for their patients. STAY AWAY!!!!

I have been to Dr. Johnson on a few visits and I must commend him and his staff for always being courteous punctual and professional the environment is positive and I will recommend anyone to his office!

Of all the times I have seen Dr Johnson, it's been good..But the staff, dont represent the Dr. A message left with my concern .no answer back..another message left today..The appointment lady, in plantation will leave you in hold for too long, then when she answers, it doesn't matter what your problem is.."everything is booked", we don't take waiting list. Withiut even knowing my problem. Coral springs, ask me for my concern, wasn't even listening, then has the nerve to say " one thing at a time" but if she would have been listening, she would have heard me say..I am a patient.....The bottom line is, the staff needs to represent Dr. Johnson in a better way, if he wants better ratings. Dr. Johnson is professional, knowledgeable and kind. He has always been able to diagnose my health concerns and help me.

Just saw Dr Johnson for the 1st time. Loved his bedside manner. Great personality and Melanie was so friendly, as was the girl who checked me out at the end. Two friends recommended him and I’m glad I went.

Worst experience ever! I am hoping this will help somebody else to avoid the same experience. If you are looking for a doctor to care for you and to be invested in your well being..stay far away. To make matters worse, the office staff Is much to be desired! The ladies that perform the tests are pleasant but I question their expertise. The office staff continuously suffer from "miscommunication syndrome" and I spent an hour for documents that should've been faxed to specialist weeks before.

I read the reviews about Dr. Curtis Johnson and the reviews were very consistent about It was not a good experience with Dr. Johnson , i called and spoke with staff about this and I get there for my appointment and Dr. Johnson assistant said the doctor would want me to see his colleague, for what it is worth the reviews on the doctor by the patients are pretty accurate, so to any one Reading this please do a doctor review before going to a referral. If you enjoy wasting your time and money, this is a great way to do it. I don't know how he has a license to practice medicine. Do yourself a favor and search all the reviews to confirm mine.

I have had a nasal condition that caused my inferior turbinates to swell to the point where breathing through my nose has become nearly impossible due to obstructed airways. So, I decided to book an early morning appointment with Dr. Curtis Johnson at the Coral Springs office of ENT Associates Of South Florida. When booking the appointment with the woman from the answering service, I was given a price for the coblation turbinate reduction procedure that I need as well a price for the office visit. The amount quoted was $350 for the coblation procedure and $100 for the doctor's time. After arriving at the facility, the doctor called me into the office an hour late although I showed up on time with a scheduled appointment. Then after speaking with the doctor he wanted to treat my nasal condition medically rather than surgically. The downside is that I am a pilot and do not have the "sick days" required to stay on the ground with heavy nasal congestion while Dr. "Let's Take Things Slow" puts me on a medical treatment to milk more money out of my wallet and insurance all before he decides anyways to prescribe the coblation treatment anyways $1000 later. All in all, Dr. Johnson sounded extremely scammy and even made sure to rip me off for $75 on the way out the door even though no medical procedures were performed at his office. Oh...he offered "free" nasal spray before I left his office to make me feel guilty about not choosing him as a doctor, which is cute and all, but I think the "free" nasal spray was included in the cash they charged me just for walking into to their trap. This place is horrible. I am going to find better elsewhere. Don't let the name fool you.
