On a Friday he called me and told me that there was nothing any doctor could do to help me. Dupixent was the only medication that would help me which I couldn’t afford. He originally was going to look into ways I could get dupixent but when I asked him about it, he got angry and said, “I’m a doctor, that is nurse’s work. I didn’t become a doctor to have to do that stuff.” When I mentioned maybe another doctor could help me, his comment was: “Good luck with that.” On a Friday, my face swollen with eczema, being told live with it or just give up. What type of doctor does that. At one point when he first starting treating me, he had me on a medication that had Dr. Moss not called me to tell me it was causing high toxicity, I probably would have died. I originally went to him to be tested and get shots. He never attempted that, all he did was push dupixent. I loved Dr Moss and I love my new allergist. This doctor is rude, arrogant and if you have challenging issues he will only try the easy button and then tell you there is nothing that can help you. Dr. Koenig thoughtfully listened to my pressing allergy concerns. He seemed genuinely interested in helping me work through the allergy related issue that has been prevalent and worrisome. I sensed that he is very passionate about his work. I came in feeling uneasy and left feeling much more confident and assured that he will help me figure out next steps toward a solution. I recently had a referral with the Allergy & Asthma Specialist where I met Dr. Koenig for the time (yesterday - 14 Jan 2019). He is very thorough and took his time to ensure I had a complete understanding of my "ailment". The nurses were also VERY nice and caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Koenig and his nursing staff.

I have been a patient 30 years. Excellent care even though I am a complicated case. Would not use anyone else

I began seeing Dr. Koenig over 10 years ago when we moved to Hampton Roads. I have severe allergies and moderate to severe asthma all year. I also have many allergies to foods and medications which makes me a difficult patient to treat. Fortunately, I found an excellent Allergist In Dr. Koenig! He is up to date on new medications and ways of treating allergies and asthma that are new! When my son and daughter each needed an allergist I took them to see Dr. Koenig! We are well cared for!!

Dr. Koenig is absolutely awesome and so is his staff. I was sick for 9 years with allergic type symptoms and daily anaphylaxis and he was the only doctor out of 41 who said it looked auto-immune and not an allergy. He was right! So, I went to a specialist at Duke and they identified it and have been treating me. I wouldn't be well without him. Thanks for giving me my life back! Dr. Koenig is absolutely awesome and so is his staff.
