Awful!!!! Went to this guy for an umbilical hernia. Left with a broken jaw. He provided the option for the surgical center and now accepts zero responsibility. I have tried to work this out with Thalia the office manager but she would rather be rude and dismissive. He has now turned me over to collections and ruined my credit because he will not uphold his hippocratic oath. On to court we go.

I have been losing weight for months, and other Doctors haven't been able to figure it out. Dr. Amshel took time to talk to me and start a course of action. I am very pleased with everything they are doing for me. Their great. Would recommend they to anyone.

Dr. Amshel and his staff are so comforting, friendly, helpful and professional. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone. Their Amazing!

He gives the lowest dose possible and charges way more than other doctors. Marijuana Doctors in Brandon are way better doctors.

After going to Dr. Amshel, I will never have another colonoscopy.

Horrible service, dr never prescribed inhalation and after all the money spent; still cannot get dispensed… DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! What a joke and they want another $150!!!

I dont know if these ratings are real from people here or if this doctor picked out the best ones and used those, but as far as I am concerned this man is the WORST doctor I have EVER been to in my lifetime and I assure you I have been to many. He came in the room with a ready made attitude and he blasted me with it. He never discussed my concerns that I had of two very important questions I had in regards to my problem that I went to see him for. I would NOT recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. He was rude, abrupt and not professional. He walked out of the room and did not even look back to tell me how to exit the office, I had a stroke and I was disoriented. I would not let this man touch me even to examine me. UGH.

I have been a patient of Dr Amshel for 10 years. I would give him a 10 out of 10 as he is very knowledgeable, caring and has a great bedside manner. His office is so nice. You do not have to go to Brandon anymore for procedures as he has a surgical wing in his building. His staff is very nice and caring too.

Thanks to Dr. Amshel, I have a new perspective on life. He is an amazing doctor with a lot of knowledge and he cares about his patients. I would recommend Dr. Amshel to anyone. I would also like to say thank you to Dalia for your compassion, kindness, and knowledge to handle any problems. Thank you again to all the office personal for such an amazing experience.

2 colonoscopies for my wife and I, surgery for my wife, medical marijuana prescription. Great doctor with a tremendous bedside manner.

Such a nice man and great doctor. Solved my problem and my friend’s issues as well. Not often that I take the time to recommend a doctor but Dr Amshel is the very best gastroenterologist I have ever been to.

I have been seeing Dr Amshel for over a year now and I am extremely pleased with the doctor as in very attentive and his care is outstanding. Thank you

What a very pleasant experience! If you are due for your colonoscopy screening...don’t delay like I did because I dreaded it! Staff and Dr Amshel so friendly and kind and professional

I suffer from GERD. I went for an endo to see Dr. Amshel. He took one look at me & saw a problem no other doctor has ever seen. I have deformities in my spine due to osteporisis that I didn't even know I had. Dr. Amshel did the endoscopy but most importantly he referred me to an ortho. I had no idea of this serious issue until Dr. Amshel suspected the problem with my back. Dr. Amshel is a cut above the rest. Highly recommend him!

Dr. Amshel is an excellent doctor. The entire team, including Daryl, the anesthetist, and Ms. Dahlia are all very good. Overall it was an excellent experience at their facility @ Sun City Center.

I saw Dr. Amshel on a Friday, called a few days later to ask for a test order and was told I could have it but only if I paid another $80 cop-pay to get it (four days after I'd just seen him). I was then scheduled for a procedure, no one could tell me the cost, process or how long it would take. Staff was yelling at me that it's my problem to deal with the insurance to figure out what it will cost me. Cancelled two days in advance and was told they would charge me $100 cancellation fee.

Dr. Amshel was thorough during my initial visit and answered all of my questions. After the colonoscopy procedure, he gave me the results in a straightforward manner. My only concern is that some of his staff seemed inexperienced. I'm sure they will get better and I'm happy that I chose Dr. Amshel.

Dr. Amshel took the time to explain everything to me in detail. He developed a plan which is helping me greatly. Office staff is friendly and very knowledgeable

Kind, courteous, and patient. Obviously knew his field, which is comforting to say the least.

He is old school and has not kept up on the latest techniques. He has virtually no bed side manner and does not appear to have time for his patents. When I informed him I was getting an infection he did not have time to see me and said it was too soon to have one, not according to my family physician that said I had one. I found another surgeon that could not figure out why he had cut me the way he did causing my recovery to be more painful and longer than really needed.

I went to Dr. Amshel for follow up after having an abscess on the outside of the colon. He was very thorough in checking everything out and the colonoscopy at the Brandon Surgery Center went well.

Amazing. Fast responses to questions. No nonsense medicine and he tolerated my homeopathic idiosyncrasies. Informative and deeply understanding. I was shocked to find that he has a history of saving the world. Not that I should have been. The guys that save the world don't usually tell you about it. Gratitude to Dr. Amshel for allowing Sanchez and Lugo (inside info that only he will understand) to stay with me in my surgery. If you care about your body, Dr. Amshel is the surgeon for you.
