Dr. Cory A. Muscara

I had this doctor for years with no issues, probably been with them since my early teens up until my mid 30s. However my job at the time had limited me from seeing them for a while due to their hours as it just wasn't practical. I booked an appointment a couple weeks in advance and 6 days before my appointment I get a nasty receptionist on the phone telling me that Dr. Muscara isn't taking any new patients at this time. I replied what are you talking about I've been with this doctor for years. She replies when was the last time you were here? At this point I was irate as it seems that if you don't go to them for a while they dispose of your info. I said to the receptionist don't worry I'll be finding a new doctor. NOPE! Would not recommend, the woman who answers the phone is beyond rude. Her tone and attitude just makes you feel rushed and truly uncared for. It seems they have an issue with customer service, and following up with patients after initial exams and results are in. My partner had to read her own sonogram because no one called back to go over it. Basically if you want to be treated poorly and have no follow up you should go here - if you want real care I advise going elsewhere! NOPE! Great Doctors, but Administrative Staff is very unreliable. Trying to get a prescription filled for diabetes medicine over a week. First they say I have to go for blood test, which I did. Then after waiting for prescroption refill my Drug store tells me that they have been trying to get in touch with the office and nobodg is calling them back. Loved Cory’s mindfullness workshop. I learned so many tools for experiencing and enjoying the moment. Also love the daily podcasts and start my day every day with them.

Always accommodating and offers a reasonable time to be seen. The office staff are really nice too!

Cory changed my life! My anxiety no longer rules my life and I can center myself in a minute. Attending Cory's classes and retreats turned out to be the best investment in self care that I have ever done for me. Much love to Cory

I have been a patient since moving here for over 20 years. I love Dr. Corsello and find her the main reason to come. I am willing to tolerate the front office due that she is worth it. The office staff has changed so much and being part of NYU it just got to be a whole different office.

By far the rudest front office staff I have ever experienced in my life. First secretary hung up on me, second secretary has a huge attitude. Online hours for Saturday dont line up with actual hours apparently

Cory Muscara changed my life most inspirational meditation approach and leadership!

Cory Muscara's Long Island Center for Mindfulness does not have a brick and morter building with a daily staff. The negative review posted here is not accurate and is not even about Cory's business, it should be ignored completely. Cory Muscara's Mindfulness practice has the highest integrity as he does. Cory is a great teacher. I took an 8 week MBSR course with him in 2013 and I still practice mindfulness to this day. Besides being a good teacher, he is also a good person with good intentions. I recommend taking one of his classes/workshops.

In my humble opinion, Cory Muscara, MAPP, is BRILLIANT! Investing my time and money in Cory Muscara’s courses has been one of the best personal investments I have ever done for myself. Cory Muscara’s teaching methods are extraordinary in that he exhibits such passion and knowledge with regard to meditation, positive psychology and mindfulness practices. In addition, Cory has such a warm, inviting and, at times, humorous approach. It is easy to stay engaged and attentive in his presence, and his techniques are easy to learn. I have learned so much from him and, as a result, I have improved my well-being and personal development. I highly recommend Cory Muscara, MAPP, to anyone who wishes to reduce stress, live calmer and a little happier on a daily basis. I say that Cory Muscara, MAPP, is one of the best resources we have available in the Long Island, New York area. And I am so glad to see that Cory Muscara's practice grows and that he helps so many people via his monthly workshops, his bi-annual weekend retreats, his 8-week courses and his community meditation workshop, which he holds every week in Sayville, New York. I continue to learn from him, and I find myself really embracing and expanding my knowledge of meditation and mindfulness. If you are sick and have been a patient for years, you still cannot get in to see them. They also tell you to go to Urgent Care. One time told me to go to emergency room! It has happened many times. Also happened to 3 other people I know that go to them. Not sure the Dr. is aware what the office is doing but they are ruining this practice!

Doctors are great but Office staff are extremely incompetent. They are extremely rude an needs some serious training. They try to push information to you and if you disagree, they hung up on your face. I called the office countless times. Absolute disaster! This isn't the doctor's office that I started going 10 years ago. I doubt that Dr. Mascara know how his staff treats his patients. shame!

I used this Doctor for many years and from time to time would have a problem with his administrative staff. The most recent time I was so mistreated by a staff member named "Mary" who was rude and and verbally abusive, I complained and when I did the Doctor sent me a letter withdrawing as my Doctor. It did not matter, I had made plans to go elsewhere but it just goes to show how the Doctor will not listen to the patient. This office is on the south shore and I moved to the north shore so I should have moved my care prior but this is a warning to whoever reads this, some of the administrative staff in this office are not helpful and rude! I've been practicing under Cory Muscara for over a year. The facility in which he teaches is clean, comfortable and welcoming. He has a way with people that is warm and kind. I highly recommend Cory as a teacher due to his versatile experience in different areas of meditation. Mindfulness meditation was foreign to me, but after learning the fundamentals of the practice, it has forever changed my perspective on living and what it is to "BE." Excellent outcome for me. Soooo glad I picked this guy out when we moved to Long Island from Maine. Had an issue to be looked at on short notice on a Friday. He fit be in and I was back in action the next day.

I've seen two PA's in Dr. Muscara's office. Rachel has always been very professional and courteous. Today I saw Peter, who was so condescending and offensive I'm not sure I'll go back again. I went in for a follow up after the flu. I'm diabetic. That's not why I went to my GP. I have an endocrinologist who I'm very happy with. We have my diabetes under good control. Peter confirmed that with me. Then he went on to tell me that I was fat, and if I lost 40 pounds my diabetes would go away.

I have been a patient for over 20 years. I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Muscara and/or his entire staff including the other doctors in his practice. I have and will continue to refer friends and family looking for a dependable, caring, family doctor.
