Dr. Barrat was awesome. He jumped at the chance to help me with the problems I have been dealing with and hit it spot on right off the bat. Office staff was very friendly and helpful and overall was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this dr to everyone

He has been my surgeon through rectal cancer. Great sense of humor regarding a sensitive issue! Made me feel comfortable and able to laugh through all the embarrassment (and physical pain) of having butt cancer. I truly appreciate that.

Cory Barrat is an excellent physician… competent, confident, caring, and an excellent communicator. When I unexpectedly found myself in the hospital over the holidays during a blizzard, he saw me at my worst. He was consistently conservative with his surgical recommendations, and when I was finally wheeled into the operating room, I felt completely at peace in his hands. I just saw him for my 2-week postoperative appointment, and not only was he pleased with my healing process, he told me I looked “terrific“.

I showed up to the appt earlier then what was requested (I don't recommend this due to everyday is different) I signed in and sit down and was called immediately went over to the sign in desk went over the forms and was escorted back to a room right away!!!! I was extremely anxious over the procedure but they go back quickly and the next thing I know I was leaving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Barrat has a wonderful bedside manner. Everyone involved with every step of the process was attentive and reassuring. Would highly recommend Dr. Barrat to anyone.

Arrogant,does not listen. Assumes he knows what is wrong before examination, does not accept what patient reports "that can't hurt". No empathy. Does not care if you are in pain. 2 unsuccessful attempts to treat. poor follow up care planning. No recommendation for this doc

Very caring & compassionate staff. No problems scheduling, no waiting. Dr. Barrat is AWESOME!! Was on top of my issue from the start. Very thorough and explained everything. For a person who has been healthy most of my life, this was a a BIG surprise, but Dr. Barrat and his staff had mad it so much easier to deal with

Dr. Barratt is an excellent surgeon as well as his entire staff!! My surgery less than a week ago went extremely well, I had part of my colon removed and was able to go home the very next day. I have had no compilations from my surgery. I am on track to return to work this coming Monday. I also would like to commend the staff at Jewish hospital they treated me compassionately and with great care. I recommend Dr. Barratt to any person who is need of his medical services, he is a professional, caring, and I feel very safe in his hands. Dr. Barrat was outstanding. He was very thorough and straight forward in explaining my diagnosis and future steps. When test results came in, he would personally call me to discuss. He also put in extra work to make sure I could get all of my tests in within a timely manner. Would definitely recommend.

zero stars is not an option. he is incompetent,arrogant, shows no empathy, and does not listen to his patient. i had an extremely painful condition and he refused to order pain meds while I was in treatment. my 1st condition was finally resolved but his treatment caused a new and painful condition. he tried to band hemorrhoids twice, and failed. His response was a very casual "call me in a couple weeks". I am leaving the Mercy system to find a competent and caring physician.

Dr. Barrat was very thorough and delved into my medical history. I had a few issues and he conferred with my other doctors before preceding with my surgery. He is a great listener and very easy to talk with.

I was very hopeful going into my appointment because my referring provider spoke so highly of Dr. Barrat. I was treated horribly by Dr. Barrat, he was unwilling to listen or help me. He not only interrupted myself while speaking but also interrupted my mother. He left the room multiple times, it felt like i was not a priority. I was left in an exam room crying at the end of the appointment. I hope no one else has to go through this.

Very unprofessional. He kept leaving the room in the middle of the appointment and his head was obviously in a very different place not in my appointment. He gives false hope and doesn’t follow through with what he says. First appointment goes great and after that is a nightmare! Would not go to him!!!!

My appointment with Dr. Barrat was the worst doctor appointment i have ever gone to. Not only was he rude to me but he also was rude and interrupted my mother, who was trying to stand up for me. My mother took off work just to be yelled at. I was shocked at how unwilling he was to help me with any of my concerns. He was very distracted and left the exam room in the middle of me talking multiple times throughout the appointment without warning. At the end of the appointment i was left crying in the exam room for 30 minutes not knowing my appointment was over. I hope no one has to experience what i went through.

He saved my life. I owe him everything.

Dr. Barrat and his staff are wonderful. Scheduling was super easy. This was my first colonoscopy and besides the horrible drink the day before the experience was great thanks to Dr. Barrat and the awesome people he works with at Jewish hospital. I have already recommended him to several friends. He has a great bed side manner. Made me feel very comfortable and at ease the day of the procedure. Dr. Barrat and his staff are wonderful. I recently had major surgery performed by Dr. Barrat-all i can say is -he was wonderful. This was my first (and hopefully last) experience with a colon/rectal surgeon. The surgery went well and i am recovering now. He is very direct and explained everything from a-z. He and his team were very kind, caring and dedicated to get me back to normal. There are not enough words to say what a wonderful physician Dr. Barrat is. During a very stressful and embarrassing event in my life he treated me with dignity and understanding. His communication skills are beyond belief, calling me at home on a Friday night to give me test results and emailing me several times on Saturday regarding upcoming follow up.
