Dr. Cornelia Louise Agent

I can only give this review as someone who wanted to go to this office. I moved to Alvin recently, went through Blue Cross Blue Shield to find a doctor, the website had Dr. Agent as accepting new patients, and so so I chose her to be my new doctor. I called today to make an appointment and was told the doctor was not taking new patients. I mentioned that the BCBS website had the office as receiving new clients and was brushed off. This doctor isn’t taking new patients which would have been helpful to know. Hopefully I’m saving someone else the trouble.

Our Family has been seeing Dr. Agent since she started at this location. Today my mother wanted to leave the Dr a message which the staff refused to take the message as Dr. Agent was in clinic. The staff was simply put very rude to my mother. It is a shame when you need your PCP and the office staff makes you feel this way.

I have been seeing Dr.Agent for approximately 7 yrs and I have to say she is kind and understanding. But her office manager who seems to be the only person left there is horrible. She is very rude and hateful. I was recently told by Alma that doc would not refill my perception until my next appointment which l was out of and I wasn't due to come in for two weeks. I work 2 jobs and need my medicine. It's a 3 hr drive for me. Not only that, my friend who was dieing of cancer was told not to come back by Alma the office Mgr. The only reason she would give was ,"we just won't be seeing you anymore". He had just seen Dr.Agent and she said nothing at all like that to him. He still needed a primary dr for his medication but they refused to help him. He suffered until he was put on hospice. I don't know what's going on at this office but it doesn't look good. The front desk is probably the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with in my life. It is their way or the high way and they do not care about their customers. They seem to only care about who comes in and spends money not about their patience. I have missed a few appointments since I am a very busy person running 3 businesses. They stopped giving courtesy/reminder calls with no warning and said I am an adult I should know my schedule it isn't their fault. Also when paying for a missed appointment they will only take cash. I went to this Dr for years. I found out this morning when I needed help that they have dropped me as a patient because I didn't come in often enough and would not accept me as a new patient. They were very cold and uncaring about it. I do not recommend them.

Dr. Agent is the best doctor I’ve ever had. She is very attentive and never rushes me.

Well after 30 years of seeing Dr. Agent, her office ladies have decided she don't need me as a patient anymore, maybe that's because she don't have my medical records. DR AGENT is a very good DR. She is a good listener & very good at troubleshooting problems. Which is why I called today. Her office staff however is RUDE and seemed less helpful to help a patient with questions. I called to see if Dr Agent takes patients without insurance as I lost my job & have no insurance but she has my health history & has seen me for years. They looked at my records & said u have not been here for 2 years & because of that I could not be seen. I advised I called to see if she sees patients wo insurance & its only been 1 yr & 9 months since I seen her because I went before my insurance dropped. She promptly told me that they were under staffed? Who asked that A & B NOT my problem/concern C does Dr Agent see patients that does not have insurance? I still do not know the answer. To sum up DR GOOD office staff POOR & understaffed as I was told today. MIGHT I SUGGEST A CUSTOMER SERVICE COURSE FOR OFFICE STAFF? Poor listening skills is why you are losing clients.

I've been with Dr. Agent for years and I think she is great. She listens to you She takes time with you and so does her PA Eileen. They are both very good.

Called in the MA and office manager are giving medical advice and making medical decisions. This is unsatisfactory for someone that has no real licensing to give it. After asking to talk to a nurse that was refused I was told it was a good idea to drink alcohol to help with chronic disabling pain. This is for a 100% disabled Veteran who served 20 years and was given a choice between medical or full retirement. The MAs are not even qualified to be Navy Corpsmen but they are being allowed by this office to give medical care because one of them has had a little pain with their back in the past. Can we say Medical Malpractice by a receptionist and doctors who allow this! Contacting AMA TEXAS MEDICAL BOARD AND ANY OTHER MEDICAL ORGANIZATIONS POSSIBLE. THIS INCLUDES MEDICARE AND TRICARE

Been going here for years and now all a sudden I have trouble. They told me that they faxed my script to cvs and my 90 supply of meds to my home delivery company. Called both and they never received anything. Cvs sent a fax and the doctor denied it saying it was a duplicate. All the staff has to do is make a phone call and see that both places never received anything. Guess being lazy is easier and it's not them it's being done to. Cornelia Agent has been my doctor for about 30 years.i just receive the best of care and truly appreciate Dr. Agent and her staff. My experience with Dr. Agent has been since 1993 and she and her staff are very efficient. She has always made accurate diagnosis and the right meds to get me well. If she doesn't know, she'll tell you she doesn't and recommend a physician that will. At this time, I live over an hour from Alvin, but changing doctors is not an option for me. I am having to change insurance at this time because Blue Cross Blue Shield has changed my private insurance from the PPO to HMO. Not gonna work.
