Mr. Clifford Marr

Dr. Clifford Marr is a wonderful Surgeon. And a kind, caring man. He saved our son's life right after he was born with Esophageal Atresia. It also turned out that our son had a Fistula into one of his lungs. As I understood at the time, Dr. Marr employed a relatively New Procedure to fix our son, who, had he been born only a year (or two?) earlier, would not have survived. Dr. Marr performed 4 major surgeries on our son in his first 2 months of life. And several outpatient Procedures during his first 2 years. Everything went flawlessly. No complications since. That was in 1984. (My son now works in the medical field.) I am and will be eternally indebted and so grateful to Dr. Marr, a great Surgeon and a good man.

Dr. Marr did my son's surgery in 2008. He was diagnosed with hirschsprung's disease. His surgery was successful and he to this day has never had any complications. Thank you Dr. Marr!

We took one of our children to Dr. Marr at age 3.5 years for a routine general surgical problem. Dr. Marr was thorough in explaining his plan for surgery and what to expect. He was personable and kind to us and our child. All went well and we would go back if the need ever arises.

I must say that I thank God for Dr Marr.....in 1988, my baby boy was born with problems and Kaiser didn't feel capable of helping him so they went outside of Kaiser and brought in Dr Marr...he diagnosed him with cysticlymphangioma and found another tumor just by feeling his tummy...he was able to remove that one...now 28 years later, when my son is having problems with the one that couldn't be removed, he personally stopped what he was doing and got on the phone himself and spoke with me and told me repeatedly to call him anytime and has even called to just check on him....! A great man and Doctor...!!! I really dont know why Pediatricians refer to this Dr.. After a long wait (to get an appt and waiting in an appt room) we met at a UC Davis facility. Everything is "normal" .. statement within 2 minutes. Follow up after 3 months.. After wards a bill $336.00 - Okay paid it bcoz he is a "SPECIALIST" .. and later on another bill from UCDMC for facility charge for $107.00 . A total of $443 for 5 minutes.. So what is the HOURLY RATE rate for this guy ? $443*12 = $5316.00 Ridiculous.. Of of the appt is 15 minutes the HOURLY RATE is $1772.00 Time to end this kind of RIP OFF !! Dr Marr is one of my many heros that saved my sons life. He did 2 of Lliams surgeries. Lliam is now 2 months post OP and has never done better! One thing I really remember is Dr Marr apologize for surgery running longer than expected during Lliams last Surgery. He was so polite for making me worry about a longer surgery but he did a great job at fixing Lliams intesine and bowls. Lliam was only a week old when he had his first surgery with Dr Marr, and 7 weeks old during his last surgery.
