He gave good advice to see physical therapist before spending time and money for more tests.

Dr Levy was quick to identify my problem. Took care to schedule surgery during a time frame I could make work. And took good care of me after surgery. I really felt comfortable and have total faith in him

Dr. Levy got me into the office quickly. Listened to my story and recommended PT for 2 weeks. I have had herniated cervical discs previously. Hopefully, the PT will help this time.

Excellent! I'm 64 years old & suffered from debilitating back pain for several years prior to surgery. Dr.Levy performed a laminectomy on my lower back about 16 months ago. Prior to this, I tried PT with several different practitioners, but it did not help. The surgery itself went very well, but I didn't feel relief immediately. Dr.Levy assured me that it would improve, but that I needed to be patient, admittedly not easy. I went back to PT about 4-5 months afterward & the relief kicked in within a few weeks. I am now largely pain free, though standing for prolonged periods is still a bit painful, though worlds better. Things I could barely manage prior to surgery, like walking, sitting, biking, yoga, etc, are no problem now. Very grateful.

An excellent surgeon! I had been told by my previous health care provider I required long term treatment of spinal injections with Prednizone. I refused and saw Dr. Levy. Back surgery solved all my problems!

Dr. Levy welcomed my wife and me warmly but talked at some length about the seriousness of back surgery for someone of my age (85). Unlike a previous surgeon we consulted, he gave no false assurances but first went over the possible negative consequences he wanted me to think about before deciding to proceed--if the MRIs suggested surgery would help.

As far as I am concerned, Dr. Levy is the best in his field as a Spinal Surgeon. He listens to what his patients have to say, recommends the best course of treatment for each patient's back problem, explains what is involved and how a particular patient's treatment will personally effect them. Dr. Levy has helped me immensely, and I highly recommend him!

Dr.Levy was outstanding, truly listened, explained in detail numerous options for relieving my crushing lumbar pain. Went over MRI and x-ray in detail in layman's terms. Never felt rushed or pressured into anything, and he was not behind a computer screen once! Came highly recommended by many doctors and previous patients. He specializes in cervical and lumbar spine surgery . Answered my numerous questions without hesitation, looking forward to having surgery to be well again. Staff were very helpful on the phone, especially Pam, who worked to get me in and understood my 4 hr ride. Definitely did not feel like a number. This is very rare today, my wife who works in the administrative area of medicine for many years was incredibly relieved after my appointment that he was exactly what we were searching for. Surgery date in two weeks.

Dr Levy was professional & thoughtful. He addressed my chief complaint well, outlined possible treatment options. I was completely satisfied with my appt.

I have been under Dr Levy’s care for 10 years now and he is an excellent surgeon. He has helped me tremendously and is very easy to talk to and have my questioned answered. He is compassionate and understanding to any pain I may have as well. I love that he practices in the small New London office. Nice scenic drive for us, less crowded and it has everything patients need. Love the staff too!

He was 45 minutes late. When he came in he wouldn't even let me ask questions or say anything. He basically told me it cause of my age and to get over it that there was nothing he could do. He was in room total of 3 min. Yet he charged me for a 40 min office visit.

I won't drive an hour and a half one way for just anyone but I will for dr. Levy. I firmly believe that I am in the most capable hands.

Dr. Levy is not an overly effusive communicator, seeming to prefer to get right to the point. He is direct and factual. I was looking for a good Doctor and not a new best friend so I'm quite comfortable with my choice.

This was a follow-up visit . Original visit talked about stenosis and possible surgery but due to covid put things on hold . I didn't feel like Dr Leavy heard me...my pain level had increased and it causes me to be unsteady . He told me he couldn't help the pain but wasn't certain there was enough of a problem to 'fix' He ordered another MRI. I respect his decision to take another look at it. I would have liked a picture or drawn explanation of what he's saying. I also respect his telling me I do need to focus on weight loss. In general I just felt like I was being pegged a waste of his time. Perhaps I am. My quality of life is effected and if there is help to improve that... I d be a fool not to seek it out.

I was surprised that he didn't show me the MRI and explain what was going on a bit more since I drove all that way for a 15 minute (or less) appointment. He told me that shots would be the next step for my back and said they would call.

Doctor Levy was very good at explaining what to expect and how my surgery was going to be done, and how long it would take. I saw him just before going into surgery and right after in recovery. That made me feel good that as a patient, I knew that he cared.

Dr. Levy is a man of few words but so kind, compassionate and great at what he does. I saw Dr. Levy as a result of lower back pain that restricted movement and required surgery. He made me feel super comfortable and the surgery was the easiest surgery I have had. It was such a relief to be up and walking within hours of surgery, since I had not been able to walk on my own for at least a month prior. I also deeply appreciated Dr. Levy anticipating my needs as they relate to an underlying medical condition and ensured that measures were in place following surgery to create the best recovery experience.

Good surgeon, just doesn't explain things well, seems to always be in a rush.

He was very thorough. He looked at all my test results, and told me what was going on. He then laid out all my care plan options, and discuss the best one for me. We then made a follow-up appointment. He was very easy to talk to.

When I met Dr Levi he was great and put my mind at ease about my current situation however my appointment was at 9:30, the Dr arrived in the examining room at 10:20 .... I wasn’t happy about the wait and that’s why I gave the score I gave.
