Mr. Claude R Hinson JR.

Dr. Hinson is fantastic, very thorough and caring. He does not rush you out. My major complaint with Physicians of family medicine is their telephone system. Every time I call it’s at least a minimum of a 30 minute wait, that is if you can get through from a busy signal telling you all circuits are busy. The last time for me was 40 minutes, my wife is currently on hold and it’s been 22 minutes and she is still #7 in the queue.

My wife and myself have been patients of Dr Hinson for 20+ years and patients of Physicians of Family Medicine longer than I can remember. If we didn't value and trust Dr Hinson's opinions and decisions, we would have left this practice a long time ago.

Dr. Hinson is concerned with his patient's problems. He asks questions and gives good sound instructions to deal with my medical problems. He always listens and take the time to be sure I know what I am to do. He never rushes out like a lot of other doctors I've seen.

He is knowlegeable about new pharmaceuticals and stays abreast of medical research and the treatment of illnesses. His staff is alway friendly, and there is virtually little sitting time in the waiting room.

Like the fact that he has patient get lab tests prior to their appointment, This allows Dr. Hinson to discuss lab results in detail with the patient, answer patient questions and recommend any changes in drug therapy, specific life style changes, referrals for specialists and/or therapist. Overall, I think Dr. Hinson is the best Primary Care Physician I have ever had...and I'm 70 and have had multiple Primary Care Physicians.

I have been a patient of Physicians of Family Medicine for 25 years. My husband called the office because I couldn't stop coughing. The staff said Dr. Hinson could see me. My doctor had just retired from the Practice and Dr. Hinson was a doctor I had never seen before. Dr. Hinson listened to me, made the suggestion that I try two inhalers, discontinue the ineffective over the counter medicine and return in two weeks. Visiting Dr. Hinson is always a trusting and nice experience. I have been a patient for I guess 20 years and I look forward to many more.
