Finally after 4 years I am getting the help I need from Another dr... Dr. Zitnay is by far the worst endocrinologist I've ever dealt with. I was suffering for 4 years with my medical problem and was referred to him because he was the best. I was upfront and honest with everything and the man still accused me of lying. Cause I wasnt losing the weight. Basically paying 15.00. Dollars a visit to be mistreated verbally and basically called a liar. When I asked to be put on thyroid med which I was told by another dr I should have been one way earlier, he refused. Said it was fine, never ran any test to rule anything out . Had a test done my thyroid was enlarged, not through Zitnay practice though. . You would think an endocrinologist would pick that up right. Wrong. But he didnt want to deal with me so he punted me to another dr in in his practice. Anita's rangawansha. Who thought I was depressed and right away wanted to put me on an antidepressant. I refused. I wasnt depressed, I was upset because this Dr wasnt doing his/her job,then when that didnt work the reffered me to Dr . Kauffman, the dr responsible for the death of his wife for her rating him out for selling pills and overwriting scripts. I never made the appt. Come to find out they were sending all the patients they didn't want to deal with to him. Instead of doing the nessacery steps, like bloodwork and thyroid scans to solve the problem, even with my insurance being good. I have been in counseling for a year because of the whole ordeal. It has given me severe anxiety about the trust of medical professional. So much I refuse to ever step foot in this office ever again. I will be going to be getting all my medical paperwork to take with me to my new, dr, but my husband will be going to get it. . I advise everyone do the same. It's a sad state of affairs that ANYONE should have to suffer with this kind of stress like I have been dealing with. I give praise to my Primary dr. For it was HER whole caught everything and put me on my proper medications. I'm doing better not 100 percent, I still struggle everyday with this type of anxiety. . Dr. Zitnay is a decent doctor. Getting an appointment without waiting months is next to impossible. NO ONE ever answers the phone. When calling to make a follow up appointment, you wind up listening to music while being reminded that the staff is busy on the the other line or assisting other patients. This goes on and on until you are eventually connected to voicemail and told to leave a message and someone will get back to you. Guess what? NO ONE gets back to you. You call back and the process continues on repeat. If you do finally get through to someone they go to "transfer" you only for the same thing to reoccur. If you have questions or need a refill on medication, forget about it. It's not happening. I honestly do not know how a doctor's office just ignores phone calls and messages on a continuous basis. We tried to be understanding. He is one of the only doctor's of his specialty in the area, he's in high demand but that doesn't excuse no one getting back to you and then being short, and snippy when you do finally talk to them. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache. Another office with more efficient and pleasant staff will be worth the drive. Dr. Zitnay is a decent doctor. I have been going to this office for 2 years. I've seen 3 different drs. All with different views on my condition. To be honest it's a little annoying that nobody can get it right. I'm a good patient and I listen to my Dr but I won't be made to look or feel like a fool. I was out of my meds for 10 days!!! I called way before my script was out to make sure I wouldn't be without my meds. Everytime was pushed to the voice mail. Nobody called me back. I called pharmacy 24-48 hrs to see if script was filled. Nothing was told they sent script with wrong info. Constant phone tag. Finally after 3rd time calling and having to be a little pushy they fixed the problem. Why do they make it so hard to get the meds I needl? For God sakes it not a narcotic it was diabetes meds. And my insurance is valid and up to date. Come on Cape regional physician group get it together I have been going to this office for 2 years. I've seen 3 different drs. Excellent office personnel. No long wait. Dr. Zitnay has a great bedsid manner and takes time to explain treatment.

Clean office friendly staff professional not a long wait.

Dr. Zitnay is absolutely one of the best doctors I have ever seen, an outstanding bedside manner, both in his office and in emergency/hospital situation.
