Fantastic Office! I couldn't be happier. Great staff, great care!

You know what’s the greatest? He believes me and listens to me! He gives me options and allows me to chose the direction of my care. I’m moving out of state and have to find a new doc. If you’re looking for a new doc, you just found him.

I have been a patient at Heritage Family Medicine for about 10 years and during that time I have found Dr. Sahlstrom and the staff to be consistently courteous, friendly, and professional. When my health issues can be resolved in office, Dr. Sahlstom is knowledgeable and has had excellent success helping with my problems. If the issue requires a specialist, Dr. Sahlstrom and his staff have always referred me to highly competent specialists. The staff has been recently increased to add a physicians assistant and a medical assistant and both have demonstrated that they fit well with the friendly and professional staff and environment.

As a former military pilot and airline veteran, my wife and I have lived across the US and traveled around the world. Odd as it may sound, we've discovered the the most caring, competent, and personalized medical care we've ever experienced right here in tiny Palmer, Alaska. Over the past 12 years, Dr. Chris Sahlstrom has not only served as our primary caregiver, but has become a friend and trusted advisor. His competent and personable staff are as good as one could hope to find. With regard to personal heath care, when I hear stories of the "good old days" of family doctors, I realize that my wife and I are enjoying the best of times.

I hate going to the doctor more than the dentist. The stress the anxiety and all the intrusive questions make it hard for someone like me. So I can honestly say I was shocked after my first appointment and experience at Heritage. From the moment I walked in I felt at ease. The receptionist Hannah is worth her weight in gold. Caring, compassionate and you can just tell she loves her job. She instantly made me feel like I was chatting with an old friend. The Dr also has the same easy and friendly personality. His bedside manner is fantastic. He is extremely thourough. And he listens, truely listens. I wont be taking my kids anywhere else. After years of clinic hopping, we finally found our family Dr.

My care with Dr. Sahlstrom has never been anything but First Class. He is very, very thorough, which gives me confidence in his ability to catch something that might be amiss. The new office surroundings are very pleasant, the staff very courteous, and the appointment regime efficient so that my wait time has never been a problem. Thanks for being there!

I would like to highly recommend Dr. Sahlstrom and his nurses and receptionist! I have been very satisfied with the care at Heritage, and I absolutely love their new office building. The receptionist is really polite and on top of her game. The nurse was very patient with me. The doctor came right in and gave me personal attention and took care of my problem.

I can proudly say Dr.. Christopher Sahlstrom is my doctor. He is very professional, knowledgeable, skilled, thorough, and empathetic. Dr.. Sahlstom has excellent bedside manners. He is calm, confident and explains any procedures or test that needs to be completed. I have been a nurse for the past 19 years and I know when I have found a good doctor. My husband is a patient of Dr Sahlstroms and I would only entrust the best doctor with the care of my husband. I highly recommend Dr. Sahlstrom.

Dr. Sahlstrom has treated all five members of our family. He is knowledgeable and we have felt confident in his care. Dr. Sahlstrom quickly and accurately diagnosed an obscure childhood disease in one of our children. She was able to receive immediate treatment for the disease and sustained no long-term damage to her heart. We are very thankful for Dr. Sahlstrom's excellent care!

Exstremely disappointed. Had a tough time with employment Andrew needed to make payments. I could not pay the full balance due in one payment. I made monthly payments and Dr. Sahlsttom still sent me to collections. DOES NOT ALLOW PAYMENTS, will send you to collections right away. Even if you make payments. Beware

I have had migraine headaches for years. Recently, I had one that lasted 6+ weeks. I went to Dr. Sahlstrom asking for a referral for massage therapy. He noticed a small abnormality that was likely nothing, on a CT from 4 years ago and suggested repeat CT to be sure. That scan showed a benign tumor on my optic nerve that would have left me blind in my Rt. eye within 4 years. Dr. Sahlstrom referred me to a surgeon in Seattle for surgery that saved my eyesight. He is quite thorough! Great catch!
