Dr Ogilvy is a gifted neurosurgeon with an extremely talented team of medical professionals. In August of 2021, he successfully performed a craniotomy and clipping of a large aneurysm with a partial blood clot located in my right frontal lobe. The care and follow up I received from this team was extraordinary. Anticipating this procedure was daunting. However, Dr Ogilvy explained every option and every aspect of the procedure so thoroughly that I had great confidence in the likelihood of the best possible outcome. I would not wish a brain aneurysm on anyone, but if you find yourself with this diagnosis, then this is the surgeon and team to trust with your care. Great doctor. Great nuerosurgeon . Very smart and knows what he’s doing . Highly respected and trust this man with my husbands life . He performed frontal lobe nuerosurgery for my husband who had 3 anuerysms. He was able to clip two of them in one surgery . We are watching the one he still has . Such a great smart surgeon .

On January 5, 2021, at BID Boston, Dr. Christopher Ogilvy and his Team experts who begin about 7 AM to prepare and to complete Aneurysm Surgery of my Brain, by 99:00 AM +-, including administering about 55 minutes of Anesthesia. Having only had one overnight surgery in 1952, at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, MA , now a highly recognized satellite of BIDL, I was very concerned about the anesthesia at my “senior “age of 77 on February 2,2022. Helping to manage the Jordan Hospital Club Gift Shop for going on 19 years, after retiring from Duxbury’s Alden Elementary School, I had heard many unusual-stories about after effects of anesthesia. Things have really improved since I was 5 with infected tonsil removal. I’m fine, feeling better every day, but really resting, so the puncture wounds in my groin ,wrist , and arteries will heal more quickly. Dr. Ogilvy was able to make our doctor-daughter from Dallas feel secure in person at his office after My Pre/Op appointment on December 29 th. We also met Team Members, who would be explaining new anesthesia routines, and taking labs for results before my big day. The entire experience, from conversations with the experienced office staff, to the recovery room staff, top to bottom, to the move to the sixth floor, all kind, all caring for my well being , and that of my husband of nearly 50 years, who could not appear anywhere in BID Boston because of Corona 19 restrictions-was making me feel I would perhaps be ok. I suffered a stroke on 1/22/2021. The MRI I received revealed that I had a Dural AVM which could lead to a cerebral hemorrhage if left untreated. My primary care physician highly recommended Dr Christopher Ogilvy and his team at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Dr. Ogilvy was able to explain my condition in a simple and concise manner. His bedside manner and kindness from the initial visit to the actual surgery was calming and confident. My surgery was a complete success. Lifesaving Neurosurgeon! Excellent, successful treatment by Dr Olgivy and his team at Massachusetts General Hospital for my cerebral AVM. Clear, thoughtful, thorough explanation of options for treatment and the results from the surgery.

Dr Ogilvy is wonderful! He clipped two of my aneurysms 5 weeks apart in 2011. Now my daughter is diagnosed with a brain aneurysm unfortunately, but my family is 100% comfortable with whatever he decides the plan will be for her. I highly recommend him!

Unbelievable doctor. After two failed attempts to fix my brain aneurysm in Providence, RI, I was fortunate to have a friend who was a patient of Dr. Ogilvy. I walked in with x-rays and before he even reviewed them, he knew exactly what the issue was. I would highly recommend him and have done so to many people. He has given me 28 more years of life that I may not have had.

Dr. Ogilvy saved my life....19 years ago today (1/7/2000). He removed an AVM from my left temporal lobe....that had already ruptured. Forever grateful.

Dr. Ogilvy is an excellent Surgeon who has h a wonderful manner with his patients and their family. He truly cares about his patients. I love that he follows my husband's progress with phone calls!

He saved my life in Sept. of 1993 at Mass. Gen'l when my Arterial Venous Malformation Bled. If it weren't for Dr. Ogilvie, I wouldn't be here today. I had a major seizure on the day it bled. I was unconscious in MG for about 6 weeks after that surgery, then came to in Spaulding Rehab. Hosp. next door. So thank you, Dr. Ogilvie. Then you removed it in April of 1994, in a surgery that took from 8:00 AM until after 10:00 PM. So thank you Dr. Ogilvy. Sarah Walker Pica

Best of the best in more ways than one. When do you find a Dr with the hands of an angel, heart of a saint and just one of those personalities, that puts you at ease. With a drop of humor???? Dr. Ogilvy is an incredible neurosurgeon whom I have had the pleasure of knowing for a number of years. He is top notch in his field and he is highly respected by the medical community, as well as his patients. It was a great relief when I found out that it would be Dr. Ogilvy who would be performing a procedure to address an arteriovenous fistula that was causing problems in the eye of one of my closest relatives. Needless to say, the family member couldn't have been in better hands. I had 100% faith in Dr. Ogilvy, having watched him perform a few brain surgeries years ago. Dr. Ogilvy saved my life. I live on the west coast and have a condition that no one knows how to treat. I flew back and saw Dr. Ogilvy. He did a craniotomy and clipped one of my aneurysms. While I was under, he had a look at the other aneurysm. I had a blister growing on top of my aneurysm. Dr. Ogilvy quickly wrapped the aneurysm and blister with muslin. If he hadn't, I would have ruptured and would not be here now.

Me and my family genuinely have a love and respect for this Man, without him even knowing. He saved our moms life, period! Dr. Olgilvy and his entire staff are the best to do it, not just because they saved her, but in the manner in which they held our family throughout the process which is the worst experience in ones life. My moms situation was considered impossible, and God blessed this man with the gift of his mind, heart and hands.
