Dr kellner. I wanted to thank you again for saving my life. Doctor performed a 6 hour brain surgery on me about a year ago, thus saving my life. He is such a smart knowledgeable brilliant young surgeon. He and I maintain a relationship and I can always reach him as needed. I always look forward to meeting with him. Thank you again Dr. Kellner.
On January 19,2022 at 1:00AM Dr Kellner performed a suboccipital craniectomy on my son. Dr Kellner’s decision to operate and his exceptional surgical skills saved my sons life. Yet, besides Dr Kellner’s brilliance, I have to mention his caring for his patients and their families. Dr Kellner not only gave my son his life back but also helped me and my family through the worst times of our lives. My son was in the hospital for 10 weeks Dr Kellner always answered my calls and texts, was kind, explained everything to me patiently, and truly cared. His entire staff of doctors , NP,PA etc were excellent Dr Kellner and his family will always be in my prayers. The world is a better place because of him. I thank G-d he is a neurosurgeon
I don't know where to begin. Dr. Kellner is not only an Amazing Neurosurgeon who SAVED my sisters life after she suffered a ruptured anyeursm six years ago. They told me in ER there was no more they could do at St. Lukes but then they called from Mount Sinai West and told me they had a team that could save her. After emergency transport to west we met Dr. Christopher Kellner. Dr. kellner is not only an amazing Neurosurgeon, he is also an Awesome human being. His dedication and commitment to his patients as we as their families is unmatchable. He is a remarkable care provider takes every precaution and extensively ensures the safety and life quality to his us as a unit. He not only prioritizes care, he also commits himself to every patient not as a case but as a life. You can be assured he will do everything he can to ensure you and your loved one understands and takes every part in the plan of care and necessary steps to work together for the best possible outcome. Dr. k is caring, resposive committed. Lives matter to him. He is the best Neurosurgeon. We are honored and grateful he is my sisters Angel.
Dr. Christopher Kellner is one of the most amazing doctors I have met. My whole experience at the hospital was fantastic. Everyone was great. But Dr. Kellner made me feel at ease and helped me through this whole ordeal. He set me at ease and answered all my questions and made the whole experience so comfortable even our aftercare was wonderful. So I say take a bow to him for being a super great and amazing man and Doctor. May God bless him and all the people who helped me. Dr. Kellner and Mount Sinai are the best. 100 out of 10 all day every day. Thanks again for such great care and attention.
Yes, I do wish to share my extraordinarily positive experience with Dr. Kellner with others (who also appreciate kindness and caring, as well as being given an overwhelmingly healthy respect for and support by their physicians). After previously having seen me through some very serious health concerns in the past, I recently reached out to him again, in order to see if there had been any changes since my previous surgery. Phenomenally, once again there were only very positive outcomes!!! Thank You So Much Dr. Kellner!!!

I would like to thanks Dr. Kellner , his assistant and Ms. Hadassah his administrative assistant for calling me yesterday and give me a early appointment for my mom. Dr. Kellner and his assistant and all his staff are great professionals. I would recommend him to anyone who needs his help.
Dr Kellner is an exemplary neurosurgeon who has the most compassionate bed side manner. It is difficult emotionally to be both a physician and a patient but Dr Kellner calmly and successfully treated my complicated vascular procedure to prevent a stroke. I have only the highest recommendations for he and his team at Mt Sinai West. Dr Kellner is an exemplary neurosurgeon who has the most compassionate bed side manner. Dr Kellner and his team are true professionals. I would recommend him to anyone ever having to face the challenge of needing neurosurgery. A family member suffered a stroke nearly two years ago and Dr Kellner was a blessing in a very difficult time. Making medical decisions for a family member is very stressful but Dr Kellner was calm, answered our questions and shared imaging results to help us understand the process which I found assuring. During our overnight stay in ICU, Dr Kellner was paying close attention to our family member, called in at 4am that he was escalating our case to ensure we didn’t lose any time that would negatively impact the patient. He also made sure the well being of the patient came first post surgery. The nurses on the ICU floor shared that Dr Kellner is well -respected and treats his patients with care. A friend who is also in NY area training to be neurosurgeon assured me that he would let Dr Kellner operate on any of his family members. We had several surgeries with Dr Kellner and all went well. He was extremely responsive and helpful when we thought another stroke was happening and directed us to go to another ER. It was on a weekend that he spoke with the attending neurologist. It was a scary situation but we appreciate his assistance to navigate us out of it. Because of his care, he saved the life of our family member and able to recover from his stroke. We believe Dr Kellner is a true expert in his field and has excellent bed side manner which makes a huge difference during difficult and stressful time. This Dr was a game changer for our lives saved my fiancée life and has been a blessing to have him from day one. His communication and explaining what was going on from start to finish and really can not put these words together enough. I appreciate everything he has done and continuing to do for us and I'm so grateful for his service.
I am so grateful for Dr. Kellner. He is an incredible neurologist. I am so thankful for my life and the expertise and care he provided for me. I highly recommend him as he is an excellent Doctor.
I was treated by Dr. Kellner, his PA Khiara, and the Mount Sinai team for a brain aneurysm with a great deal of care and respect. Dr. Kellner is a kind, competent, and calm doctor who explains the brain in a highly accessible way. He goes so far as to draw you pictures of your arteries and show you replicas of the stents and coils that might end up in your brain — both to ease your mind and explain upcoming procedures. He also makes sure to answer all your questions and even provide you with research papers if you’re anything like me and like to read for yourself. As a doctor, he really empowers you to make informed decisions while providing his medical recommendations and support. Though I did not need open-head surgery, the process can still be a bit daunting, and having Dr. Kellner and Khiara as my team ensured me that I would be okay. I have “graduated” from my aneurysm, so to speak, and would recommend Dr. Kellner to anyone who is dealing with aneurysms or other issues he treats. I’ve seen a good deal of doctors for various issues, and Dr. Kellner definitely ranks at the top. Dr. Kellner, Is a wonderful surgeon and man. He guided my wife through a very difficult time, when I had emergency surgery. He has also "stayed" with as a guide for the past two years that have followed. He understands the worries of patients and their families. Nothing of what I have said depends on the fact that I recovered from my stroke so well. Where he helped was as wonderful and caring guide, which requires being a a very thoughtful and caring man. Dr. Kellner operated on my husband who had been brought to the Mount Sinai ER after a serious stroke. Dr. Kellner was an invaluable guide and resource throughout the harrowing journey - right from explaining the need for the surgery while we were in ER, going over the results of the surgery hours later, checking on my husband in the neurosurgery ICU for weeks, tracking him through rehab, and being an inexhaustible source of information and referrals to other doctors. He was always available to answer questions, and he was extremely patient and helpful as we made difficult choices. His accessibility and kindness were major factors that made the whole experience less overwhelming. Its been two years, and my husband has made a remarkable recovery. I know that we have been extremely lucky to have him as our surgeon and doctor.

I want to thanks Dr. Kellner for save my mother’s life. He is an extraordinary person who really cares about his patients . Very profesional and kindness . He really makes the difference and I pray for him everyday because doctors like him not many. Thanks and thanks again for everything .
Dr Chris Kellner was a brilliant brain stormer as well as a top notch neurosurgeon. I felt confident in his care and there was never a phone call that was not returned. I've been to all of them, but he is a healer.
The man is a healer & Iâve been to many drs. Brilliant brain-stormer & neuro- surgeon & ALWAYS returned my calls. Big thumbs up.
Best medical experience I have ever had. Listens, professional, kind & courteous.
Dr. Kellner is a terrific surgeon with the best bedside manner. He saved my life several times.
I have mixed feelings about this doctor. I suffered a stroke very recently and was treated by Dr. Kellner. I never was told what was done to me or explained the treatment plan. I think he relies on his PA to much. His PA is downright rude and doesn’t explain anything. Mount Sinai hospital where he is affiliated is understaffed, inexperienced, and not very unorganized.
Love love love this doctor...polite and understanding . He listens and takes all your concerns in consideration. He is surrounded by a lovely staff and a great team of doctors that work together ...more like a family setting environment.....
Dr. Kellner is a miracle doctor! He saved my life with the stentreiver by removing clots from my brain. He has a great bedside manner, and is very personable. If not for him, I may not be alive today.
I had a massive stroke four months ago. Because of Dr. Kellners' speed in getting to Mt. Sinai West, his knowledge and skill, I am making a full recovery. He treated my husband with patience and explained everything to him. I can't say enough about him.
This is the only review I have ever written AND as a result of the stroke I suffered in March I have aphasia which makes it hard for me to write. But It was really important to me to do this. Over the last six months I have encountered numerous health professionals. Dr. Kellner is in my top five. When I found out I needed to have open head surgery in order to remove an AVM, I was scared... well more like petrified. Dr. Kellner make my family and me feel at ease. Everything went great with the surgery and I am now able to get back to my life (Well once I have completely recovered :D) (I know this is not a review for the Mount Sinai’s Neurosurgery team, but they’re awesome) This is the only review I have ever written AND as a result of the stroke I suffered in March I have aphasia which makes it hard for me to write. Christopher Kellner is an amazing neurosurgeon. He is extremely talented - innovative in patient care and a top notch surgeon. He has a wonderful approach with patients and their families , taking the time to explain exactly what is happening and how he plans to treat the patient (and solve their problem). My husband was very ill. He had a brain aneurysm which ruptured and also an arteriovenous malformation, which needed to be treated. He was in the Neuro ICU at Mt. Sinai Hospital for a month. Dr. Kellner brought him through each crisis. He saved my husband's life! I can not say enough wonderful things about this neurosurgeon, man and "friend". On the night my mother had her stroke we rushed her to Mt Sinai West. We were told action had to be taken asap. In the waiting room we expected to worst. Thankfully Dr. Kellner performed the life saving surgery that gave our mother her life back. After the procedure he showed us via a before and after screen on his phone, the arteries, the blood flow, and where the blockage was removed. Two months later mom is alert and thriving and her motor skills are stronger by the day. Dr. Kellner, in a follow up visit, walked us through the procedure, educating us on how the brain operates, how stroke victims are affected, and how to provide the care and attention our mom would need going forward. His professionalism and compassion, along with the dedication of his team were inspiring and reassuring to all of us. Thank you Dr. Kellner
Chris Kellner is the most dedicated, brilliant neurosurgeon. He saved my husband's life. My husband suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke, he was on a ventilator for weeks. He also suffered a respiratory arrest (actually stopped breathing.) He was one sick man. Chris was completely honest and explained exactly what was going on and what we could expect. He treated our family like his own his family. I have the upmost respect for this wonderful neurosurgeon
Dr Kellner is the exact right doctor needed in an emergency situation such as I had in February of 2017. I had a hemorrhagic stroke while working in New York City. I was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital Emergency, where, my hero, Dr Kellner was called in. He performed life saving surgery and subsequently through the months ahead, shepherded me through several tricky complications. His intelligence and compassion make him the indispensable man for complex neurological problems.
