Today was my first visit to this office. This was the friendliest doctors office I have ever been in. Very thorough with my needs and made me feel like I am the most important person in the office

What An amazing doctor and staff!! The office manger was so attentive and really made me feel like I mattered and my condition mattered. They worked on setting up the follow up appt with other doctors and making me feel at ease. Would highly recommend

Excellent! I have had Dr. Grainger for several years as my GP. Even though I’m 74 and overweight he has everything under control. My BP is perfect (with meds) and my bloodwork just came back excellent!

My mother passed away the same day as my appointment and lady on phone told me I should have called to cancel when the office contacted me to inform me I missed my appt. She then stated I was not allowed back to that office. After telling me this she tried arguing with me that I was in the wrong...Always had a issue with attitude of staff there, and if I wasn't blocked from going there I would have instantly found a new Doctor anyway. Stay away if you want respect from a Doctor's office. The lady that answers the phone was extremely rude. I will find a new physician for my family.

The staff is very bad and Dr.Grainger is to old and just do what Primary Physicians do I would like someone that's always learning new things and keep up with new research I wouldn't recommend this Doctor

Great visit...found parking place easily ,we got in quickly. Only one other person in the lobby area. All questions asked & answered.

I changed to Dr Grainger in January 2020 and had a couple of routine office visits. I was hospitalized with a GI bleed in December and Dr Grainger came in three times to see me. He was fully informed about what the GI doc had found and consulted with the GI doc, my cardiologist and my oncologist to coordinate medication changes. Very well done.

After one visit, I was done, voiced health concerns to the Dr, he seemed the least bit interested, was not helpful, quite honestly this guy scared the heck out of me for being a so called Dr

The nurses are nice but the office manager is the nastiest person in. Ocala. I asked a question regarding my privacy and because I disagreed she immediately cut me off and said that I would not be seen. She huffs when she speaks and acts impatient when you try to talk. I.will be informing.my insurance company about her. She is a piece of work. Since this post I received a statement from my insurance company showing where the Doctor's office tried to Bill for an appointment where I never saw the doctor. Extremely unethical! It seems that I am not the only victim of the very masculine and aggressive office manager. She is THE nastiest person in Ocala. Because I was a victim of identity theft I cover part of my d.l. number. I asked to not have it uncovered. When the manager heard this she was on the conversation ready for a fight. Almost I wanted was an explanation and assurances to my privacy. Instead she took my card out of the receptionists hand and informed.me that I will.not be seen by the doctor. When questioned and told that she was being nasty she said and I quite, "I'm not being nasty but I will have you removed." I was not being rude or aggressive. I walked out when she felt it necessary to educate me. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I want to thank my Physician Dr. C. J. Grainger M.D. and staff for outstanding years of service. My wife daughter and I have seen this doctor for many years. We follow him. He's been that kind and good. His knowledge basically saved our sons life when he was 12. I personally have been in the hospital at the fine Locations of Ocala Reginal and West Marion. Best people ever. Hats off to the Nurses and staff we send our appreciation and respect. Doctor Grainger has been the best for our family medical care. His nurses Sara and Ashton. With Noami and Debbie at counter. Hey, they are a blessing from Heaven the way they handled us. Celina your the best all these years in accounting. I and my family love them for the years of medical help and kindness.

The other reviews I have seen are surprising because I have had much better treatment with him than I did with my former GP. I guess I got lucky in that Dr. Grainger listens to what I'm asking, looks at me when he is talking to me, and his staff have been wonderful.

He either over looked or ignored a report from the Emergency room on my husband and consequently it was a CT scan that showed a mass in my husbands thymus gland and after we went to a different doctor with the report, it turns out to be cancer. Then when I asked for his records for a new doctor, they purged the chart and practically gave us nothing. He should be banned from practice.

I didn’t go to my visit because I read bad reviews. Turns out the bad reviews are true. They harass you and don’t care why you missed your appointment. Then when they call they give attitude and curse at you

this comment is not about Doctor Grainger himself, more about the office. i am a healthy 60ish retired nurse that only needs annual visits. However, i found myself in need of a referral recently. They told me i needed to come in $60.00 (i had just been there in one month ago). I waited over a week for the referral... so i called. they asked me if i called Dr blah blah.... i answered i dont know who that is. it seems ... they call this Doctor and the doctor called them back and no one contacted me!!! This is office is about $$$ and not patient care! the Nurse yelled at me like i was a child... So sad... i have been using this office for over 10 years and She told me maybe i should find another doctor because i questioned her. there has to be better out there in Ocala and i intend to find out. Dr. Grainger office staff is very efficient. Had mammogram on 7/20 and received called on 7/20 with results excellent call back time. Very pleased with service received.

Staff was horrible. The office manager of 14 years said to my husband “Get him out of here”. Have never experienced anything like this ever in my lifetime and this was supposed to be our first visit but luckily we will never ever go there again!!!

My experience was completely unsatisfactory. The head nurse was abusive and she decided to get Dr. Grainger to discharge me. Despite the fact that my new doctor could not refill my prescriptions until he (new MD) sees me. Dr. Grainger disallowed ANY refills, even of meds I must take daily. Most staff were okay, but someone should look into Dr. Grainger’s license & his unbelievably abusive behaviors towards patients as well as the head nurse who is psychologically malignant (read Scott Peck, MD’s book on this). I hope that someone looks into this pair inasmuch as so many complaints have been raised.

totally unprofessional staff with abusive assistants & total disregard for the patient.I don’t understand how this doctor has a practice!

Ashton (or has a name with similar sound), nurse of Dr. Grainger was very, very rude, not willing to help the patient who is in need of a referral for a pain doctor. She said that "That patient should take some resposibility to find the place close to where he lives" in a loud, upset and irritated voice. Does not like the idea of helping patient find a nearby pain office where she could send the referral. Very nasty. She ended up calling the patient and providing another pain office which is just about nextdoor to Dr. Grainger's office. She chose a wrong profession. No sympathy at all. She needs a refresher course to remind her of what nursing is all about. Patient has a very limited resources to help himself and we as caregivers in the medical profession should extend a helping hand beyond our call of duty, above and beyond to make our patient's life worth living, less miserable than what they already have. Just wanted to get my prescription's for pain killers renewed; the same pain killers I have been taking for 10 years. Was told by their staff to remove Dr. Granger as my primary physician. God help you if you busted your back all your life. Obviously people who sit on their fat rear ends all their lives don't understand that. They look at you like you are a leper. Don't waste your benefits on this jerk.

Staffs were very rude. They act like they don't have time to speak to patients and sound very aggravated over the phone. When I called for a concern I was having, Nurse was angry in the background and talking bad.

My options for doctors were limited as I cannot afford insurance due to Obamacare so I am paying out of pocket. Dr Grainger's office led me to believe that I would be able to make payments. There was no set schedule when payments were due, just that I pay as often as I can. My visits with Dr Grainger usually lasted 5 minutes - not including waiting time, of course. I have a condition that requires me to see the doctor every three months for progress checks and tests. When discussing certain aspects of my condition, the Dr did not even seem familiar with the basic terminology that my other doctors had been using for years. (Hypothyroidism is not a difficult concept. I took the basic science classes required to get my high school diploma and even I understood it when it was first explained to me.) The real problem at Dr Grainger's office? The office manager. This woman is hostile, flippant and refuses to speak to me as if I was a human being. I am 23 years old. No, I do not have medical training, but I have been familiar with my condition since I was first diagnosed at 13. I am not a 5 year old who needs to be spoken down to. My contact with the office is now handled by my grandparents who first referred me to this doctor. Upon question the office manager of the status of my medication order - medication that I have been frequently told to not miss even a single dose as the consequences could be dire - she became hostile with my grandfather. When he asked to speak with the doctor, she refused to even put him through to the doctor's voicemail. This is unacceptable behavior. I would not recommend this doctor at all.
