He did a good job for my mother who I sent to him. Correctly diagnosed and helped her tremendously.

Great customer service checking in & out, Dr. Fleming took wonderful care of my vision, I can see better than before with these new contacts, even love the two pairs of readers, lol.

Dr Fleming takes the time to explain eveything and is very caring. He did my Mom's cataract surgery. Excellent Doctor!

I found Dr. Fleming from the AMA web site, saw that he was accomplished in his education, respected by his peers, had been Chief of Medicine at the hospital next door. I see him regularly for vision and retina checks. When my lens prescription wasn't quite right, he was able to figure out where we went wrong, using equipment to help figure out my astigmatism better. When my eye was hit with some stray yard debris, my eye was wounded and infected. It was a fast and very aggressive infection. Dr. Fleming saw me daily, treating my eye and monitoring what was happening with my vision, adjusting medication to suit the particular bacteria that ailed me. He kept close attention to my condition, and encouraged me to contact him at home on the weekend/holiday if I had any changes, and he would see me at his office no matter when I needed to. He legitimately cares about his patients and explains things very well. I highly recommend Dr. Fleming for your eye needs.

Run away from this schlock of a doctor...you have been warned!!!!

I hesitate to call him “Dr”. My husband and I owned a small ophthalmic equipment company so we have some background in ophthalmology. We were describing my eye ailment when Fleming put up his finger and shouted to my husband “ You! Be Quiet and dont say another word”. We both work for two medical centers and found his bedside manner and his diagnostic skills to be extremely lacking. We have never seen someone chastise a patient especially when they’re in a vulnerable position as a patient. I only went to see Dr. Fleming as he was one of the only Ophthalmologists that participated with my health insurance carrier. My husband went with me to the appointment. My husband, trying to be helpful attempted to give Dr. Fleming some background information, and in doing so, Dr. Fleming abruptly held his finger up at my husband as to say don't talk. A few minutes later, my husband provided some more information that we thought could be helpful to Dr. Fleming, and he became furious. His face was red with anger and he pointed his finger at my husband any YELLED "YOU BE QUIET" We were more that surprised at his hugely unprofessional manner. We were stunned, and greatly humiliated. At that moment we should have left, but we didn't want to make matters worse. We are both in the healthcare field, and this was absolutely appalling to us.

If a negative five could be entered, that would be the rating. I would not recommend for my cat. Same as above.

I ended up going to another ophthalmologist for a second opinion and discovered that I have a cataract developing, which was contributing to my vision issue. I have been going to Dr. Fleming for about 4 years now. Four years ago I was almost blind, not able to see the big E on the eye chart. Working showing much care he has gotten me to almost 20/20 vision...definately a 100% better than it was. It is something that we have to treat on going but I can live with that. I've been seeing Dr. Fleming for almost 15 years. He has always been extremely courteous and professional. He correctly diagnosed a major health issue I was having and connected me with the specialist I needed. Good selection of eyeglass frames as well. I definitely would recommend!

I have been seeing Dr. Fleming for over 20 years since I have moved to Cary. If you like a small office with personal service, I highly recommend his practice. I recently purchased a new set of eyeglasses there, and I had a minor issue that was resolved quickly to my satisfaction. I have also seen him for eye infections and dry eye issues in the past. I have been a patient at this practice for a number of years and I've always been very pleased with the care I've received. Dr. Fleming is extremely knowledgeable and it is obvious that he enjoys his work very much. He always takes time to make me feel welcome, do a thorough exam, explain his findings in easy to understand terminology, listen to any concerns I may have, and answer my questions.

Very unprofessional and very egotistical. Did not give me the proper treatment (even though I told him what was wrong) until my eye was completely infected so that he could keep charging me. Did not listen or care what I had to say because his huge ego would not allow that. Cancelled my remaining appointments with him, called another clinic nearby who informed me they hear the same statements from his other patients that have left and come to them. Not surprised at all.

I had eye surgery at Duke Eye center, and when I went back to see Dr. Fleming, he scolded me for the entire appointment. Told me that duke didn't do a good job, and berated me. I didn't know he did this surgery, but that didn't matter to him. In his words I "used him." Will never go back, ever.
